Great place and location

We really enjoyed staying at this property and loved the closeness to the beach with a short walk/drive to the shops. It was clean and spacious and exactly like what was promised. Will defiantly book again! Thank you.

Huge house in a beautiful location

Had a great stay on Bribie Island in this lovely house. Absolutely huge living areas and bedrooms, and the outdoor space was peaceful and private. Fast internet and good amenities made it all the better - not to mention the pool table. A really short walk to the dog beach which our dogs were very happy with!

Great spot, but outdated

Great location. Walking distance to surf club and Woorim. Very comfortable stay. Just minor things. Chipped glasses, a good clean, would be recommended.

Entertainment plus!

With the ping pong table, swimming pool & eight ball table everyone was entertained and not under eachothers feet with kitchen prep. Full supply of dishes, cutlery and cups/glasses. Definitely would stay again. Just ignore the wobbly ping pong and eight ball tables, it adds to the laughter!

Furniture needs upgrade

The property was great except for a couple of things. The lounge was uncomfortable and not enough seats to accommodate everyone and the beds weren’t very comfortable.

Good Location

We enjoyed our stay however the property needs some work and a good thorough clean, as it’s been neglected it seems. Though the property sleeps a large number, it was difficult to fit everyone in with one couch downstairs and the finding table not big enough to sit everyone for meals. Outside furniture was broken and the pool table and ping pong tables needs repairing. The beds need new toppers and some extra pillows and blankets would have added extra comfort during the cold winter. With some more thought about the size of groups it can cater for and furnishings updated/replaced, and a decent spring clean this property could be amazing!

Hi Mel, thank you for your review. Please note a new couch has already been purchased and we are awaiting its delivery. The Pingpong table has been replaced and the pool table repaired as mentioned to you upon check in the guests before you damaged them and we tried to rectify the issues as soon as we could. There is seating for 16 outside and there are a lot of extra blankets and pillows in the linen cupboard and main bedroom walk in robe (maybe you missed theses). Again thank you for your feedback and we wish you safe future travels.

Great position

We stayed during the winter school break with family from Melbourne. It fit 10 of us comfortably and had ample space for our medium-sized dog. The amenities list needs to be updated. It had listed a spa and a table tennis table which were not at the property. The pool table had tears in it, likely from the tips of the pool cues being damaged. However, the beach was always quiet and we loved visiting 'Elvis Parsley' down the road (a local selling fruit and veg from his garage). The page mentions using the tap in the front yard to rinse off sand, but we couldn't find one though the tiled floors throughout the downstairs area made it easy to clean up if any was brought in. Overall, having the wild dolphins at the doorstep (on the dog beach EVERYDAY!) and the fact that we were comfortable in the accommodation, trumped all of the mishaps mentioned above.

Staff at Bribie Island Real Estate are rude

House was great. But, the bins were full and smelly when we arrived so no room for our recycling and rubbish. Fridge didn’t work properly and had to throw food out. We were reimbursed eventually but the staff first told us we overstocked the fridge (which we didn’t), took several days to decide if they would reimburse us and when they did, they thought it was ok to round down how much they would pay us. Not once did we receive an apology for the inconvenience. A shame you have to use this Real Estate.

Was not value for money, everything was old. Needs a big overhaul.

We had no problem renting this property. However it needs a big overhaul. The beds r all old, hard and some on the floor. There was sand in the bathtub. The fridge was broken. The bbq was out of gas, dirt and old ( very rusty) the furniture had broken doors and was all odd pieces. The pool table felt was all ripped. The ping pong table was not able to be used it was broken. We would all like a discount on the amount of $$$$ we paid. Definitely not value for money. The garage was locked and not able to be used.

Hi Veronica, thank you for your feedback however we are a little take back. Please note there are no beds on the floor, there are five queen beds and all five are standard beds with frames and a double futon.. We do apologise that the fridge stopped working sadly sometime these unexpected things happen that we can not control however we did supply you with a new fridge within 30minutes of you reporting it. Please remember that we do not advertise the house as modern or anything that should make you feel that the house is new. It is advertised and is a well used however well cared for beach house. At $170 per night for 12 people ($14 per person per night) is is an absolute bargain and cheaper than a local non powered campsite so unsure how you feel $14 per person per night for a five bedroom, three bathroom house offering a pool table, pingpong table, swimming pool, wifi and the beach three door down is not value for money.

Definitely not an Entertainers Delight

Home needing a lot of maintenance. Several lights not working. Door in upstairs bedroom unable to close and would bang all night. Reported and fixed. Bathroom door on ground floor when closed was unable to be opened till someone opened it from the outside. Pool in very poor condition not able to swim until it was reported. Backyard a mess. Would not recommend this accommodation and feel that we should be reimbursed for the inconvenience.

Hi Beverley, we are so sorry to hear you feel this way. Sadly, on your arrival day and days following we had server storms, wind and rain. Unfortunately, we could not control the weather or the debris it blew into the yard and pool during your stay however had it fixed up within two hours of your report once the storms has passed. There were two light bulbs out, one in the kitchen which had three other working lights next to it and the other in the ensuite bathroom which also had other working lights next to it. We are sorry that the bathroom door had a fault during your stay it was not present upon our pre guest inspection sadly some times we cannot predict when something is going to go wrong however, we did have it repaired within about 30minutes of you contacting the office about the fault, We are sorry you do not feel this is acceptable service we attended to your reports immediately and had they rectified extremely quickly.

Great location, property needs major updating

Firstly the positives - the house is in a great location a few minutes walk from the beach and a nice quiet neighbourhood. The house is spacious - for 9 of us it felt just the right size not to get under each others’ feet. There were also some nice touches left for us on arrival - Toiletries in the bathrooms. Sadly the property is in drastic need of some updating and love plus a deep clean. Furniture is old and shabby, random items in cupboards and old socks and bedding found in drawers. Kitchen crockery is chipped and stained. There are only 2 old sun loungers by the pool (for a 5 bedroom house you’d expect more). Warmer bed linen is needed in winter. Hardly any hangers in any wardrobes. Cleaning had not been carried out thoroughly - in kitchen there were crumbs in cutlery drawer, dirty cupboard fronts and some cutlery had mould on it. The master bedroom shower had hair that we had to clean out of the plug hole and no hoovering had been done under beds or on sofas - old bread crust found on upstairs sofa. We gave all of the feedback above to Bribie Island Real Estate and they sent a polite email saying the owners weren’t willing to provide any further cleaning despite how we found the property. They did provide us with some hangers however. I would only recommend staying in this property if you’re prepared for it to be basic. We had a lovely stay overall because we used it as a base and were out and about much of the time.
