About this property

The Blessing Rooms are an apartment in our basement. It was built for a man who was paralyzed on one side and used a wheelchair. Jay's parents lived here until their passing. Now we want to share it with others. This is a fully handicapped accessible apartment. There is a kitchen, living room with a lift chair, bedroom and bathroom with ADA bars at the toilet and in the shower. The shower is walk in and a wheelchair can fit in it. There is also a fold down seat in the shower with a handheld nozzle. You are welcome to use the large swing set in the yard and collect your own eggs for breakfast. We have another apartment Vrbo #7261472 that is located on the same property and sleeps up to 9 people.

Very quiet and peaceful just like I like it. The owners greeted us to say hi and told us to let them know if we needed anything. Couldn't have asked for a better location and host.

About the host

We have lived in the Canton area most of our lives. We love to host people in our home. We love to meet new people. We have four married children and 14 grandchildren who live close by. We are partners with our daughter and son-in-law on a large dairy farm that is just down the road from our house. We love the Lord and are active in our local community church.

Why they chose this property

We built our new home in 2013 so our daughter and son-in-law could move into the farmhouse. We love to host people so we made guest rooms. Jay's parents lived in this walkout basement apartment until their passing in 2019. This apartment is fully handicapped accessible. We know from experience how hard it is to find places that work for someone who has physical limitations. We would like to share our beautiful mountain views with you.

What makes this property unique

The beautiful mountain views and spectacular sunsets make this place wonderful. The patio is a wonderful place to watch deer and other wildlife. We have country roads to ride bikes on or walk. There are several state parks close by. The apartment is fully handicapped accessible. We have another apartment Vrbo #7261472 that sleeps up to 9 people. It is above our garage and not handicapped accessible but you can rent both apartments for a larger group.
