Wyndham Long Wharf — close to the waterfront and central to all the fun — enhances your Newport vacation with a wide variety of resort amenities and activities. This warm, friendly resort combines the perfect location with great amenities and is just a few minutes' drive from the area's top attractions.

Experience the city's reputation as "sailing capital of the world" for yourself — take a leisurely sailing tour of Newport Harbor and maybe even a lesson. Thames Street offers great shopping with a split personality: national brands in Upper Thames; more eclectic shops in Lower Thames. Any time you visit the "City by the Sea," there's bound to be a music festival (from folk and pop to jazz and chamber music) or themed celebration — starting with the Newport Winter Festival, Spring Boat Show, Great Chowder Cook-Off, Black Ships Festival and more, closing with Oktoberfest and the Annual Christmas in Newport, when the mansions are decorated for the holidays.

The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.



Things to Know:

A credit card is needed for the $250 security hold due at check-in.Some two-bedroom and three-bedroom units have multi-level floor plans with stairs.Washer/Dryer In Unit - Some2 BRD: 90% have 2 twin beds in 2nd room, a few have a full size bed (not usually available) The accommodation provides free WiFi access for up to four devices. Any additional devices requiring connectivity must be purchased separately at a rate of $9.99 per device per day. This service is facilitated by a third-party company, and we do not have any association with them.This is a timeshare resort. All presentations are completely optional, and not at all required to attend to stay at this resort or enjoy the amenitiesConstruction Notice:

The Town House and Harbor House building units will not be available for booking due to renovations from Sep. 8, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2026. During this time, you may experience noise, dust, odors, and the presence of work crews on-site. Dates are subject to change.

You could not ask for a better “home base” for exploring Newport. Leave your car in parking lot and walk to the transit center (and excellent trolley tour), walk to wharves and Thames St for shopping and dining, even walk to ferries!

Very nice stay at the Wyndham Long Wharf. Walking distance to shops wharfs. Kitchen fully stocked, very clean unit, parking was good, communication with host was good, lots of towels in bathrooms and very comfortable beds for sleeping. Would recommend and would visit again.

Great room, nice facilities. The only issue we had was with the wi-fi. It was very inconsistent, and we had trouble maintaining connection on the devices. The TV was never able to be connected.

I stayed with 3 of my girlfriends from Friday- Sunday. We had a wonderful time. The hotel staff, amenities, and space was great. The hotel suite was very nice and quite spacious, having 2 bathrooms, which is a bonus for us! The only thing I noticed was the suite was not as clean as I would have expected. While it was overall clean, I noticed some dust in the bathrooms and on certain surfaces. This would not hold me back from coming back, the rest of the hotel/resort was clean and smelled nice. We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much and would recommend it to all friends and family.

Our suite was spacious and comfortable - indeed, larger than we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances, utensils, cookware and dinnerware. Parking is free - which, we learned, is a big deal in Newport. Everything in the room and on the property was clean and well-maintained. All the furnishings are solid and up-to-date. I will repeat what others have reported: This property is part of a timeshare network. The person who checked us in offered us the chance to attend a sales promotion, and an introductory bonus. But there was *no pressure at all* to attend, or even to listen to his pitch. When we said we had booked through VRBO, there was no judgment at all. He offered us his number, should we want to talk further about it, and that was that. The staff were friendly and helpful at every turn.We would be very happy to stay here again.
