My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at "East of the Sun." We had other family staying nearby, so we didn't eat any full meals at the house. The location is great, a quick walk to the water. The town is a convenient distance away.Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. We had good communication from the owner. The kitchen was adequate and clean. Plenty of dishware and a collection of counter-top appliances we didn't use so I can't comment on. There were plenty of towels, and a convenient rolling cart filled with chairs and a boogie board. There's a printer, a good-sized TV, and some activity materials for small kids. The wifi was excellent, as were the fixtures and water pressure. The owner's description of the air conditioning was accurate: the central air worked well enough that I turned off most of the portable units and felt like the temperature inside was adequate.Though the owner has clearly made an effort, the house overall feels a little worn out and there are some small fixes which are necessary.None of the bedroom doors, or the bathroom door, closed all the way. They're misaligned with the frames and need to be trimmed. The shower curtain is too long, making showers awkward. The banister leading upstairs to the living area is broken and loose. It is likely unsafe. The coffeemaker is old, extremely slow, and cantankerous. It really should be replaced. But again we enjoyed our stay here and were glad we chose "East of the Sun." Thanks!
