Life is busy - just getting the whole family together can be such a challenge in today's world, but nothing is more important than doing just that. And Island Haven is the perfect place to make this happen - the Sun, the Sea, and Views that are simply unforgettable. 

This gorgeous Duplex sleeps 8 and is located on desirable Piney Island, the closest community to Assateague National Seashore. Ride your bike to the Beach, Dining, Activities, and more! You'll love returning to this tranquil Waterfront Community lined with whispering Pines, which even has its own Kayak Launch area. Sitting directly on the Assateague Channel, you have incredible Views of both the Channel and Assateague Island right from your two-levels of decking. With its own Private Pier, you'll love fishing and crabbing in your own backyard - or harvest some of our famous Oysters at low tide, only steps from the shoreline. There's also super-easy access to launch your kayak or canoe, and if you're bringing your boat, you can tie it up right at the end of your Deep Water Dock. Island Haven truly has all you need to make your Vacation Dreams come true!

As you pull up to Island Haven, you know you've made the right choice - the Pine Trees swaying and Tree Frogs singing couldn't be more welcoming - and ahhh, that salty, sweet breeze. Climbing the stairs to the 1st Floor, you'll love the Open Living Area with plenty of comfy seating, Flat Screen Streaming TV with Roku, and magnificent Views galore. You'll love beginning and ending every fabulous day on the Screened Porch - and oh, the Sunrises you'll take in here. Island Haven sits high, maximizing every gorgeous glimpse of our beautiful bay and Assateague Island. 

Down the Hall, there's a huge Dining Area with with a table that seats 8 - a great place to gather and share stories of the day's Adventures. The Chef in your family will love the well-stocked Kitchen will all you need to make mealtime a bay breeze. You can also dine Al Fresco at the Picnic Table while taking in the beauty - what a great place to enjoy some Fresh Local Crabs. And while no one likes doing laundry, you'll appreciate the convenience of the Washer and Dryer on this level, as well. There is also a convenient Half Bath just off the Living Area.

Wandering upstairs, there are 3 spacious Bedrooms and 2 Full Baths. The Master Bedroom features a comfy Queen Bed, Flat Screen TV with Roku, and access to a Private Waterfront Balcony - slip outside to stargaze while everyone sleeps peacefully, or enjoy morning coffee here with a Sunrise. The Master Bath had a Tub/Shower Combo and lots of storage. Down the Hall, Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin Beds, and Bedroom 3 has a Full Bed. A 2nd Full Bath with a Tub/Shower Combo is located in the Hall. No one will ever feel crowded at Island Haven!

With the Assateague Channel as your backyard, and Assateague National Seashore just a short bike ride away, you really can have it all at Island Haven! Chincoteague and Assateague are a Nature Lover's Dream - perfect for pony-lovers, photographers, and bird-watchers. There's even an Outdoor Shower to rinse off after a day exploring the Beach. We loved the location! Quiet, beautiful, the dock and screened in porch were super great! The shower in the master bedroom was really good, we only wished that the jetted tub had been working. We didn’t sleep in the beds provided as they were rock hard and the springs in them were very bouncy. My husband and I got a kick out of sleeping on the couches as sleeping on them took us back to our teenage years. We enjoyed our stay, but I don’t think we will be back unless different beds are there.

Lovely! Clean and tidy. Lots of instructions around (which were helpful!). A great view of the water and very peaceful. Wish we could've found where the bikes were located but no worries. The pier was great for a cup of coffee and the dog loved chasing the frogs around the yard and lounging on the pier with us.

This home was a perfect stay for us! We brought bikes and kayaks (even though there was a canoe and bikes to use at the house) and LOVED having the pier for our use and enjoyment! House was spotless and very comfortable - I hope we can stay again sometime soon!

Good location and exactly as advertised. I traveled with my mother, sister and my daughter. I shared the twin bedroom with my daughter and the two twin mattresses could use an update. The rest of the house was great!

One of the most beautiful and convenient homes on the Island!

After coming to Chincoteague for many years we were amazed by the location and views of this house! Beautiful views of the inlet and the park, and access to water will heal any stress you may bring here. It is within walking distance from the main park, stores, food, and entertainment. House is well-supplied and has everything one would need for a beach trip, fishing, or a hike. It's even supplied with 2 bicycles! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend choosing this house!

A beautiful spot on the water

The location(Piney Island) on the water is wonderful. However, the dock is in disrepair and the house has not been updated and has quite a few things that are not fully functional inside. The views and access to water make it worth it, but it is definitely due for a renovation soon.

Marvelous time on the waterfront

We had a wonderful time at Island Haven - my husband, his parents and myself slept wonderfully and had a great time at the house! So quiet. We enjoyed the pier, the patio and the stunning views. The house and kitchen are well equipped and in even better shape than in the pictures suggest. We’d love to stay another time! The property manager was kind and very responsive: they fixed the screened door the same day - on a holiday! - quite outstanding.

Great location, everything was close by. Perfect for dog owners as house had every accommodation for your pet (crate, leash, dog bowls, furniture covers). Sunrise Haven

Island Haven should be renamed Sunrise Haven. My mom and I watched the sunrise every morning from the top deck, and it was such a beautiful thing to behold. Our family of 5 plus our dog stayed for 6 days. We enjoyed the view and being able to relax together. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots/pans and utensils. There is plenty of storage in the bedrooms, and the living room and dining table both had seating enough for everyone. The beds are a little stiff, so if you have trouble sleeping you might need to bring a foam topper. I would also recommend you bring insect repellant and some sort of itch relief cream if you plan to spend much time outdoors. There is plenty of wildlife to enjoy both on land and water. The neighborhood provides a safe place to walk or bike.

Our family had not been to Chincoteague before and absolutely loved it. We will be back. The location of this property is excellent. Really, this is the best location, in my opinion. This house specifically was not well cleaned or maintained. There was a dried, sticky spot about the size of a napkin in the dining room we cleaned. On the third floor balcony where there is no screen, there were 4 slats not connected at all to the porch. Very very dangerous for our toddler. Had she leaned on those to look out, she would have fallen three stories. There were also handwritten notes EVERYWHERE. This homeowner seems to be very specific about their property. It appears to be pet friendly but no people friendly. Their handwritten instructions were very threatening with fines if you tried to open the blinds. The notes also contradicted the instructions from the management company with a few things. The stove desperately needs to be updated as the burners were not even to balance pans on while cooking. We did enjoy the back patio and the dock. We will absolutely be back to Chincoteague, this area and would book through the management company again, but we would not consider this property or a property from this homeowner again.
