Long term stay

My family and I had the opportunity to stay at Conrad's home. I am a travel nurse. It is a duplex. The neighbors dog wasn't friendly, but the neighbors did their best to keep him put up during our time outside. Conrad's Vrbo gives you the feeling of a home away from home. He has a fully stocked kitchen, drawers, closet space and laundry facilities. Propert managers are the absolute best.

ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED, NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY

We booked the “house” beginning on a Wed night checking out Friday (2 nights). Upon arrival I could not get the front door unlocked, ultimately the instructions were not complete. I had to contact the message service and wait for a call back from the property manager. Once I was able to unlock the door right away I noticed the front door had been kicked in previously, they attempted to fix it with 2 screws and all the splintered broken wood. My 8 year old could have pushed the door open without the deadbolt locked. The house was not secure at all. The bathroom door had also been kicked in and the same sloppy repair work was done. The fridge would not cool at all. We would have just left but it was St. Patrick's Day weekend and the city was booked up. The description of the property includes no loud music or parties. What it should have said was absolutely no loud speaking, or noises at all. We were in New Orleans on business, I brought my adult son with us to watch my 8 year old daughter while we worked Thursday. At approximately 2:30pm (middle of the afternoon) my wife and I while working received a text message that there were noise complaints and that we need to come to the house and fix it. This is not a real house, it a shotgun duplex with paper thin walls. Anyway needless to say it is absolutely ridiculous the get noise complaints in the middle of the day. We also found random mail belonging to multiple people in a kitchen drawer. With the mail we found Sex Offender notifications there are at least 5 of them all surrounding the house. The neighbors were not nice at all especially the couple who live in the duplex next door. My guess is the female next door works nights hence the noise complaint. Because my son was very clear on the fact that my daughter was not being overly loud. Not to mention there was a triple homicide less than 5 minutes away from the house on Thursday night… STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Bday weekend review

This is Just an informative review i have no complaints on the area during my stay we had no major issues. I would suggest you don’t have any packages delivered to arrive there unless you know you or someone can be there before the package arrive. I ordered clothes and it said delivered at 11ish that AM and when i arrived @3 check in time my package was gone and the camera on porch apparently wasn’t working to capture anything I’m assuming bc when i contacted host and mentioned it i never heard anything back & that’s not their fault for thieves however it’s your property i felt i should have heard back some concern since theft had taking place at your place. Overall it was clean and what we needed for the moment

Good stay

Very clean place, only had one issue, some kind of way the property was double booked but the property Mgr was notified and situation was cleared up. Overall great stay and I would book again

Late Check in due to lack of communication

The over all stay at this property was mixed reviews. Check in time was at 4:00…I NEVER received any code to enter the home prior to the arrival time. I messaged the owner multiple times to which I got NO response. Luckily my grandmother lives in the neighborhood so my husband and my parents went there to wait for the property owner to respond to me at which he did not. Two hours later after googling his name for a local number I called a cell number I found on the internet and Conrad answered to which he said he had a property manager and it was her fault and he then gave me the code to enter the home. He apologized and claimed he would follow up, but I never heard from him again. There was nothing done to make up for the two hours we waited to enter the home. The house and neighborhood itself was pleasant. Quite and very friendly area and the house was accommodating for our needs. To say I would rent from him again would be a long shot. I do hope that he will correct the check in process so that this doesn’t happen to another renter as we were lucky to have family in the area where others may not and would be stuck waiting.

Just Perfect.

Location was amazing. Conrad has everything you need from pots, pans, and soaps, to towels and dishes, the rooms are far enough away from each other and have doors. The alarm system beeps when a door opens which makes you feel safe. The neighbor is just the sweetest woman as well. I come into town to visit my parents every so often and it's not your typical shot gun i've rented in NOLA before. I will stay here as many times as Conrad will have me. You should too. You won't regret it!
