we were charged for cleaning wood floors was not clean the dish washer was not clean did not use anything in the kitchen but paper towels the freg was dirty has trash in the kitchen trash can the owner would not take any calls, we did not feel very safe or wanted there

Great out of the way space to regroup

Plenty of space and essentials. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for the week while visiting family. Central location made travel easy in any direction.

Beds were very comfortable and plenty of room for kids to play. Weather was great so we enjoyed sitting outside on the lawn furniture. Some parts of the house could have used a bit of dusting but overall it was nice. We'd stay again.

Perfect Country Getaway

This house was everything we were looking for on our stay in Willard. Our family that lives in the area was literally 5 mins down the road which was perfect. It had plenty of space inside and outside for our littles to play. If I had anything to complain about it would only be the wifi, which was terribly slow. But everything else was great!

Ok but could have been better

Nice house with a quite atmosphere. The house and landscape in major need of tlc. Kitchen cabinets inside and out need major cleaning. Landscape has weeds and voluntary trees growing up against house with lots on insects and spiders crawling on the house. Over all not really a bad place but better than a hotel.

We’ve been proactive with pest control and maintaining the flower beds considering these are things our guests often appreciate. Regarding the cabinets, it's understandable that older features might need a little extra attention over time. We will be gathering estimates for repainting them since we’re sure this will further enhance the overall experience for our guests. We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have a wonderful stay!”

Very spacious

The property was beautiful! The home was very spacious and wonderful if you have a large family. It is very close to Springfield and not too far to Top of The Rock which is where we ventured one day with our family!! The house is located off the road and has beautiful land all around it including a small creek behind the house! Again, this is a beautiful property for someone who wants to relax but still be close to amenities if need be!! Wi-Fi is a little slow but if you want to get away from it all, it’s perfect! Only 1 bedroom has a TV so make sure that’s not a must have on your list. But we had a great stay and would stay at this property again in the future

Homeschool basketball natl championship

My husband and I along with 4 grandsons and daughter and son in law stayed at the house for a week while attending the week long basketball tournament. The house was very pleasant and the beds were comfy having the large yard and being near a good running path in town was very helpful. The only downside of the property is the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms have sloped ceilings above the bed placements and the shower. Having some 6ft and above grandsons made it a bit awkward taking showers upstairs and they had to be intentional about sitting up in the beds so as not to hit their heads on the ceiling. but the master bath has a nice large shower. As we have some allergies to cleaning products I mentioned that the linens were washed with detergents that had fragrance Which would be a good general rule to eliminate all fragrances in cleaning products and washing linens . Hence the 4 star rating

Could have been so nice...

First of all, we did enjoy the quiet country setting, with a large front yard that overlooks a neighboring farm; it was peaceful and relaxing. The home is spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Also, I did appreciate quick feedback from the owner for a few questions I had. She left us a couple of extra outdoor chairs, after I had inquired if there were any more. But as much as we liked the beautiful setting, there were some issues which bothered us enough to know we would not choose this place again. Because they do charge a significant cleaning fee, I expected a reasonably clean home in all rooms. However, the hardwood floors were dirty, and I swept up a lot of dirt in the kitchen/dining area after we first arrived. Microwave had dried food inside. Bay window areas & some furniture were dirty also. The bathrooms were clean, though, so that was good. As another reviewer noted, there were many flies inside the home, which was manageable after much swatting & sweeping that first day. There were also many wasps hanging around the outside front; they seemed to come from the upstairs front dormer area. A family member who stayed in the upstairs front bedroom heard buzzing in the wall. These should be sprayed for. The front garden could have been so pleasant, but it was full of weeds and poison ivy. I understand not weeding a garden for fear of contacting the poison ivy, but there are companies who spray for that without harming other plants, so there's no reason to leave a garden in that state. Finally, I hope the owner will also try to take care of the spider situation inside. My husband killed 6 or 7 spiders in the master bathroom, near the tub and toilet. These looked like brown recluse spiders. We found one (live) in our suitcase upon our arrival home. (And we do not have these spiders where we live.) So, yes, this place could be so nice, if the owners will just take care of a few issues.

The Perfect Hone Away From Hone

We couldn't have asked for anything more perfect, as far as location.....rehearsal supper less than 3 miles, wedding venue about 6 miles. Great family times, good beds, and COUNTRY!!! We do suggest that for as many ppl as the house can sleep, there was not sufficient hot water (we're so spoiled) and there needs to be another shower. But other than that, it was perfect.

Nice and Quiet

This property was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay. The host was very accommodating and helpful. There is plenty of room to spread out at this house and the outdoor space was extremely calming.

Perfect for our family

The location was perfect for our family to be close to my cousin's wedding venue. The house was perfectly laid out and allowed a lot of space for my stepdad to get around with his rollator. We will definitely try to stay here again when we need to be in the area. Side note, if you need breakfast while you are in town, be sure to check out Naomi's Cafe - it was wonderful.

Great house and location (not the best in winter/cold temps)

We had a business trip with 4 of our employees and the house was a great location and price for the weekend. It just so happened to be a cold weekend with temps in low single digits, the heater downstairs kept going out causing cold temps and lots of space heater use. The last two days of our stay we had no running water in the upstairs bathroom, kitchen and laundry as the pipes froze. Besides the cold weather issues I would stay there again, it was a great location and close to the convention center. Beds were comfortable, and plenty of room to spread out from each other. Snacks on the counter, overall a great experience and would have been a 5 star had the heat and water worked.

Exactly what the doctor ordered...

As the team leader for a COVID-19 Response Team in a medical facility, I was in need of a short breather. This property was just what I and my family needed--quiet, peaceful, and secluded but also close to everything we needed. The only negative about our trip was having to leave and return home!
