Well maintained, beautiful and fun decor, great location, lovely patio, well equipped kitchen.

We had a wonderful time in Ashland staying in this beautiful Victorian home. It was unfortunate that we had the big heat wave while we were here but we managed to work around it and everything was lovely. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic house and stay!

We came to Ashland to celebrate our daughter's graduation and had 6 in our party. There were plenty of comfortable beds so no one had to share. There is a beautiful outdoor area that was the perfect place for us to gather, the kitchen well appointed, everything pristine and the toilets were fancy. It's also in the perfect location to walk down town and at Lithia Park.

Perfect spot for two couples to enjoy OSF and Everything Ashland.

After 3 visits in 3 years to the Victorian Secret, we're hooked. It's our place to stay in Ashland. Two comfy bedrooms, a fantastically well equipped kitchen, a five minute walk to the theater, restaurants, shops, etc. Highly recommended.

Superb location - awkward beds

This property is in an ideal location for enjoying downtown Ashland and the house is well kept and furnished. My son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren (17 and 19) very much enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend a stay here with one qualification. The queen beds were much too soft and too tall. A short stool would be quite helpful.

A Great Week in Ashland

My wife and I travel with another couple every year and this time we chose Ashland. This rental was fabulous! It's a very cute Victorian that is close to the plays and Lithia Park. Off-street parking, large dining room table, and welcoming hosts. The bedrooms are upstairs so if you have mobility limitations that might be a concern. I especially liked the welcome card-- nice touch!

Wonderful stay in Ashland

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at The Victorian Secret and it is always a treat. It is not only convenient to Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but it feels like home, very clean, very well appointed. Only once did I have a minor problem (couldn't log into Netflix), and the owners were extremely helpful and took care of the problem immediately. They were excellent people to deal with. I hope to stay there again.

Perfect location!

This beautiful home is in the perfect location! It is located in downtown Ashland and just steps away from shops, restaurants, and the theatres. Once you park your car you will never had to get to use it again until it is time to leave. The home is well decorated and cozy. It was a joy to stay here and we have recommended this house to several of our friends.

Beautiful Holiday

We recently stayed at The Victorian Secrect and loved this home. So cozy, comfy, perfect. The kitchen was well equipped. We had plenty of room for guests at the dinning room table. The bathrooms well appointed and lovely. Great location near the blvd. Walked everywhere. Even had a deer eating apples that had fallen from the tree. We are looking forward to going back!

Wonderful location! Convenient walking distance to everything!

Spacious old victorian with sweet little backyard sitting area in an ideal location for the Ashland Shakespeare Festival. The house was well stocked, nothing was lacking. Host, Julie, was very accommodating. I would have given 5 stars, except that the house was not as bright and light filled as I would have liked, and the bed in the master BR needed to have a softer top (the other bed has a foam topper which was really nice). If you are looking for a place to stay, this is a great option!

Christmas with the Family

We so enjoyed staying at the yellow Victorian house! We love Ashland and were excited to stay just a few steps away from Main Street and all the unique shops and restaurants. We celebrated an early Christmas in Medford with our adult children, and in between family day trips with them, it was wonderful to come back to a cozy and comfortable space to regroup or meet up for a short walk to a restaurant. It was easy to take advantage of many of the community offerings (such as the Holiday Market) because the location was so perfect. Everything in the house was great. We would love to return!

Fabulous location, perfect house for our family

We have been coming to Ashland for the plays for at least 7 years now. This was our first time at the Victorian Secret. It was a perfect location and house for our family. Everything we needed was provided. Even the deer who came daily to the delight of my 6 year old grandson! The height of the beds was a surprise, but once I stepped up on the footstool and crawled in I loved the comfort. We all hope to come back again.

Great Stay in Ashland

We had a fantastic time at the Victorian Secret in Ashland. We attended the Shakespeare Festival, and the location could not have been better--about a 5-6-minute walk to the theaters. The house itsekf was lovely--decorated in Victorian style but very modern as well. The kitchen was more than fully equiped and we had fun making our own hot chocolate. We met friends from Californa there )another couple), and each of us had a lovely bedroom. This property would be great fro two couples, as we were, or for a family of our, or I could imagine foru girlfriends staying there too.

Location, comfort and a great place to stay

We arrived to the Victorian Secret to find a delightfully well maintained 116 year old Victorian home decorated with loving care and well maintained. Two couples plus one we used both bedrooms and the living room sofa and all were comfortable. (The beds are high with foam atop mattress and box spring and a step was used by one in our party (step was provided). We enjoyed dinners together in the dining room, enjoyed early morning coffee in the backyard. The location 1 block off Lithia Park and 3 blocks from the theaters was perfect We learned that leaving windows open without putting in temporary screens (provided) led to box beetles being inside, so recommnd that you use the screens. ' We had a wonderful week and hope to be back next year!

Cheery and comfortable

In mid-may we spent an enjoyable week with friends from Tacoma (we're from the Bay Area and Ashland is about half-way). The house was a perfect setting for old friends to get together. The porch is a cozy place to visit and read, The living room is a comfortable place to talk and reminisce. The kitchen is well-equipped. The dining room is comfortable. The beds are great. We had some trouble connecting to the internet and Julia responded quickly and helped us get things up and running. Lithia Park is a short distance away and a beautiful place to stroll and visit. The weather was fantastic and Ashland is lush and beautiful in May. The plays were OK. But most of all the visiting was delightful. We've gotten together with friends in a variety of houses and I can't think of one that was more comfortable and homey than Victorian Secret. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.

Charming, Comfortable, and Convenient

We stayed at The Victorian Secret for 4 nights while attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. We'd highly recommend it. The location can't really be beat. Unless you find a way to sleep on stage, you probably won't find many places closer to the theaters. The house is on a street just as you enter town, so it's maybe 150 feet to the main throughway, 2 minutes to Lithia Park, and about a 5-minute pleasant walk to the theaters themselves. It's convenient as well for shopping or if you want to eat out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The house is a charming Victorian that is well decorated and pleasant. There are two bedrooms with queen beds upstairs, although one has an alcove where another person might sleep. There is a driveway, so you can park your car off the street. They've decorated in a way that preserves the Victorian charm but also has modern fixtures and electronics. We had four people in our party and spread out comfortably. The house has all kinds of amenities. Wi-fi is included in the price and was speedy and easy to set up. The kitchen was well-equipped and had a number of basics like spices (you might want to double check before going to the grocery store to stock up). There are flat-screen LCD TVs with cable or satellite TV. One note: This is a real Victorian home, so there are steps to get in and the stairway upstairs is a little steeper than a modern home. You'd probably have the same issue with most homes in Ashland, but if you have mobility limitations you might want to do a little more digging. The Victorian Secret is an excellent choice for Ashland.

We work in the medical field and live here in Ashland. Our practice is in Redding, California. We love travel and fine dining, and love meeting new people. We hope you love our Victorian home as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We hope you enjoy our lovely Victorian Vacation home! This home has drawn our attention for years, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was called the 'Coleman-Mulit' home, and was built in 1900 by Mr. John Coleman.

The Register states, 'John Coleman purchased this lot from G.W. Gillette in 1899 and soon thereafter the local newspaper noted, 'John Coleman will immediately build on his Church Street lot. He plans a substantial residence and foundations are already underway.' {Ashland Tidings, 22-Jun-1899, 3:1} Coleman, operated a canning plant in Ashland with his brother. He sold this house in 1904. In 1906 Lloyd and Gertrude Mulit purchased the property, which they retained as their residence until 1924. The Coleman-Mulit House is a large two-story vernacular ell with a projecting front gable, accented by a full-height projecting bay. Modest Queen-Anne detailing is evident in the complex form, eave bracketry and the 'pent' roof'

What makes this property unique

Luxurious amenities throughout this comfortable & cozy home. Enjoy the entire Victorian home to yourself! Cook in the full kitchen or walk around the corner to enjoy amazing restaurants and attractions. 3 Private Bedrooms with comfortable Queen beds. 6 people (3 couples) can comfortably sleep here. 1 shower downstairs, 1 claw-foot tub with shower upstairs, and 3 toilets. Laundry facilities in the cottage in the back yard. There is space for off-street parking for two cars end to end parking, and there is free parking on the street as well. There is a fenced in private back yard with a gazebo and patio furniture. So charming and cozy!
