Fellas December Cruise

This place is perfect for a stay in Miami. The location was great. We had a great time and the property was perfect. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks better in person than photos on the site. The neighborhood is very quiet and conveniently located. Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

We were a group of 10 family members needing to stay overnight before our cruise. The house was just as pictured and was very clean. The only thing I would suggest is to have split mini AC units in all bedrooms.

George was very attentive and punctual. Very easy to access everything and communicating was great. The only thing I would advise is that you bring extra blankets the AC works great!!!

Overnight stay for cruise.

We booked the house for an overnight stay for a family cruise, the house was nice for the price we paid. Communication with George was great will book again if available for our next cruise in 2024.

2nd stay in a week

Clean unique place the communication with the owner was very good and helped us out with allowing us to leave our luggage inside the home so we didn’t have to carry it around Miami prior to the actual check in time Quite clean and seam to be a safe area

Place to sleep

It was a place to rest our heads for a night. The strangest set up I’ve ever seen but wasn’t terrible. Spray painted cameras in living area that’s strange. Clean for the most part just strange.

Would not stay here again. Any updates completed look like a do it yourself. Everything about this property is just plain strange not in a good way.

Great pool and space for large group

Host was very responsive and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We had a group of 15, mostly kids, so the pool was a huge perk after long days. Kids loved playing all together in the pool. There is a nice screen canopy over the entire pool area that helps keep out bugs, debris, etc. The house had plenty of space and beds seemed comfortable for everyone. The home is older so has areas for improvement, and kitchen area posed some challenges, but overall we were happy to be together for an affordable price. Neighborhood was quiet, and property lot is large so felt private, safe and secure.

I do not recommend them

To begin with, the check-in was done quite quickly and everything was very organized. The house is inhabited for 12 people and it turns out that no more than 2 cars can stay in the parking lot. Also when entering the house was full of cobwebs and dust. THERE WAS A GREAT LACK OF HYGIENE, We stayed in the house for a week and they never cleaned it, or changed towels or sheets, and according to them you have to clean the pool yourself, which they never said in the description of the house. In short, I do not recommend them at all.

Beautiful home, too many restrictions.

I wanted to spend Christmas night together. I asked the host if it’s ok to have 17 people at the property during the night. Two hours prior to check in I received a message from the host a set of house rules that I strongly believe should have been sent out the same day as booking. This “reminder text” threw me off because the rules were absurd. Host states per Miami-Dade county only two parked cars were permitted on the property. Strange because there’s no way 17 people who are traveling from all around Miami dade can arrive in two cars. The properties descriptions states that it can hold five cars. The property has a beautiful U shape drive way with plenty of parking, which was one of the few reasons I chose this place. He stated that the maintenance man stays in the rear of the property and not to block the South Gate. If we decided to use the pool don’t get in with oils or lotions on your body or a 250 fine. What ?! As a black family we wear lotion and sun protection it’s not an option. Another reason why I booked the property. Unfortunately, the same day I had to tell my family we couldn’t get in the pool The owner met us with the remote & mentioned to us about the two car rule we told him we’ve never heard of anything like that and it was a bit of back&forth, which I did not appreciate on Christmas.He claimed to be the maintenance guy, but we knew he was the owner by his demeanor. Checkout morning the real maintenance man sat by the garage all morning like a stalker.

“OK” for a short stay

Here is a quick point summary of my experience: PROS: - great location (close to stores, not far from beach/downtown) - property is LARGE and pushed back from the street which is a plus. - plenty of space for a large group to not feel crowded. Rooms have the option to lock separately and 3 of them had their own bathrooms. - kitchen has been updated and had a good amount of utensils/pots/etc. Loved the newer appliances. It’s a smaller space but it worked! Seating for 4 in kitchen and 4 in dining. - two (2) out of 4 bathrooms had been updated. - bedrooms were decent and beds comfortable. - it has a private pool that was clean. We didn’t use) CONS: - yes, it is very DATED (kitchen and small bathroom are exceptions). I can deal with a dated home, but some furnishings Could definitely use some updates or at the minimum a GOOD STEAM CLEANING (main tv room!) Fellow Host Suggestions: Even some new slip covers, a new coat of paint, updated decor, etc could help it feel more appealing w/o spending a lot of money. - lots of small maintenance issues that need addressing - hole in floor, walls, bathroom ceiling panels, sink issues, etc. - no big deal breaker, but for traveler comfort, the pool area needs patio furniture. - exterior needs some TLC (curb appeal) Overall, I could tell the owner is trying to make updates, as evident with the kitchen and 2 bathrooms being done. The other items can be easily corrected with a little attention to detail. I had the chance to speak with maintenance at the end of the Trip, so hopefully the items I discussed off line will be addressed. If you are looking for luxury, this isn’t it. If you are able to overlook the dated feel, and looking for a large space with privacy then this is a decent fit. The adults agree it was 5/10 as is, however With the updates/cleaning implemented, it would easily be 10/10. It has so much potential. SN: I’m a property host on another platform and on a popular car hosting platform. I’m speaking from a traveler AND host perspective. It’s not easy to please everyone no matter what you do. My intentions on this review is to fairly critique from both ends. I hope this helps :)
