About the property

Mobile Home, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Experience the beach life as you stay within walking distance of two spectacular bodies of water. At any one time you can enjoy the intensity of the Atlantic ocean or walk back to your own private retreat and look out over the bay from your covered deck, sun room or even your bed. This cozy, well cared for, like new RV is on a beautiful lot right on the bay. You can watch the most beautiful sunsets. Also, if you have a boat or jet ski you can bring either and explore the bay.

The sun room which looks out over the bay, has a full size futon with a nine inch mattress. The master bedroom has a queen size bed from where you can look right out over the bay. The bathroom is full size with a full size tub and shower. This open floor plan gives it a spacious feel.

If you are looking for peaceful seclusion and accommodations that won't drain your bank account, such as the high prices of the beach cottages, then this is the place for you. It is also within a private and secure resort community.

About Lesa Lewter

My husband and I love the serenity of the water especially at Sandbridge. When we come here we feel as if we have gotten away to some tropical place.

We want our guests to experience the peace and relaxation that we do here. Watching the sunset at the end of the day is the best form of therapy out there. That is why we posted several pictures. The colors are forever changing and just glow brilliantly.

This makes the trip worth it all!

Lesa Lewter purchased this mobile home in 2006

Why Lesa Lewter chose Hampton Roads

This is an amazing location between these two bodies of water. We love walking over to the mighty ocean and then coming back to our own private retreat right on the bay. Many times the ocean is roaring and the bay is calm. Other times the ocean is more calm and the bay is churning. Just to experience these two forces is incredible. We feel we have the best view of all and many of our renters tell us the same thing. Many of them come back each year.

We are located within Outdoor Resorts. You can go to their website on line and find more information as well as directions. Just type in Outdoor Resorts and click on the link for Virginia Beach. It is a very well kept, quiet and family friendly resort.

What makes this mobile home unique

To listen to the sound of the water while watching the sunset is the ultimate means of relaxation.

When inside you can look out any window from the unit and see the water. We love watching the fish jump and the blue and white herons come up to visit. Even the evenings to lay out on the hammock and look up at the night sky and see the stars is awesome. We've even had some of our renters sleep out on the hammock because it is so peaceful.

Sandbridge is not a crowded touristy beach place. You can get away from it all out here. The wildlife refuge with the trails just down from the resort offers a back to nature time. This is a little private get-away that not many know about yet keeps those who find out about it coming back each time. You'll be blessed to find this little place.

Great Fall Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I almost didn't bother writing a review since I felt I would just be repeating all the other 5 star reviews I had read! My wife and I came down from upstate NY to visit our daughter who moved to Va. Beach several years ago, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay! We came in mid-October and had temperatures in the upper 60's-low 70's which was still comfortable for the beach. Our daughter and her dog stayed with us for the weekend and we just had a great time! Ditto all the other reviews about the beautiful setting on the bay and the close proximity to the ocean (you could hear the waves from the site). The owner, Lesa, was very accomodating, checking in several times over the weekend to make sure everything was OK and providing useful info about local food establishments, even offering us a later checkout on our last day since there wasn't anyone staying there that night. We're thinking of coming back down for another visit next spring and would love to stay here again!

Peaceful Weekend

  • 5 of 5

It was our third anniversary and we have decided to spend our weekend at this amazing place. Trust me, that's the best decision. You don't have to go anywhere(except food, have to drive to VA Beach area) as you have all the amazing views from your door step. We loved the views looking out over the water....I wish I had a boat. It's worth every penny spent. We will definitely go again probably during the summer time.

We do get a lot of couples for either honeymoons and/or anniversaries who love the quiet and beautiful views to enjoy together. Glad to hear that you got to even enjoy the moonlight shimmering out over the Bay. Do come again:) Thank - you for this thoughtful review.

Relaxing and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in this lovely little gem of a home. The beautiful back bay and sunsets were a sight to behold, ever changing from day to day... just mesmerizing! The motorhome was clean and comfortable. We loved all the windows and views looking out over the water. We felt like we were on a house boat! The Back Bay Refuge and False Cape State Park are beautiful tributes to the nature in this area. What a wonderful week we had. Thank you so much!

A Slice of Heaven

What a perfect 3 days away. The site is beautiful and secluded, the outdoors resort well maintained. Perfect location, comfortable bed, nice and quiet, awesome front porch and dock, cool trees, big fun beach, beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend.

Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had high expectations after reading the reviews, and we were not disappointed! After a 12 hour drive, we arrived at sunset, and were immediately struck by the peace and beauty of this location! We stood there and enjoyed the view before walking inside to check out the rental. It was cozy, nicely decorated, clean and relaxing. The bed was even more comfortable then our bed at home! We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning, overlooking the bay, the gorgeous sunsets from the hammock, and the meteor shower from the dock! During the day, we got into the habit of taking the short walk to the beach, then coming back, showering off the sand, and relaxing in the hot tub or pool. Our teenage daughter even preferred staying here to going to the beach some days. We can't wait to return for another stay!

Owner's Response: Karen and family, thank-you for taking the time to write such a positive and descriptive view of your stay. All the things you mentioned are what we do as a family too. Some days we just want to stay on the Bay side yet others we want to be at the ocean. It is so wonderful to be close to both. We are glad even your teenager enjoyed being there and that you got quality family time. That is our desire for our guest...esp. watching the sunsets together. We hope you come again:)

Escape from Reality

  • 5 of 5

From the time we first arrived to the morning we left we experienced peace and serenity. The property was everything and more as represented on the VRBO web site. The owner was responsive and communication was very effective. The location was perfect..sitting on the patio drinking coffee in the morning to watching the stars at night. The unit was clean, cozy and well equipped. We felt safe walking our dogs around the park and they enjoyed being there too. Loved Margie and Ray's restaurant....great recommendation. Great food for a good price.
