At any one time you can enjoy the intensity of the Atlantic ocean or walk back to your own private retreat and look out over the bay from your covered deck, dining room, living room or even your bed. This cozy, well cared for RV located in a cul-de-sac on a beautiful lot right on the bay. You can watch the most beautiful sunsets. If you have a boat or jet ski you can bring either and explore the bay.

The living room with a sliding glass door looks out over the bay, has a two full size futons with a nine inch mattress. The master bedroom has a queen size pillow top bed from where you can look right out over the bay. Unlike most trailers ours has a sliding glass door in the bedroom as well. About Lesa Lewter

My husband and I used to take our four kids to OBX every year for summer vacations. It was always so crowded and expensive. One day we stumbled across this place and we never went back to OBX. Here is what we love to do when we go to Sandbridge. We wake up in the mornings walk over to eat breakfast while looking out over the Bay at Baja's coffee shop. After breakfast we walk across the street right next to the condos to the beach access to begin our morning walks. While walking along the ocean we like to pick up the early morning seashells that the ocean has brought in. We have been fortunate enough to find a small star fish, a few sand dollars and conch shells. We have even seen baby sea turtles scurrying to get out to sea. We walk down to the wildlife refuge. After our morning walk we go back to our place and get our beach chairs to set up our place on the beach. Sitting out on the beach watching the dolphins and pelicans while reading a favorite book is pure joy. We can come and go through out the day leaving our chairs there until we are ready to go back over to the Bay. For dinner our favorite thing to do is call Margie and Rays for carry out and bring it back to our place and watch the sunset while eating out on the deck. The highlight of our day is sitting in the lounge chairs on the deck and watch the brilliant colors of the sunset. Time and time again we are in awe of such brilliance. During the evening we love to sit out on the pier looking up at all the stars. You can often hear the sound of the ocean even from our place.

As you can tell my husband and I love the water. For us it brings peace and tranquility from this crazy world. And that is what we want to do is provide a refuge for our guests to come and truly get away from it all. If they leave feeling refreshed we feel like our goal has been accomplished.

I have listed these ideas mentioned here as well as some of our other favorite places here on our website.

Why Lesa Lewter chose Sandbridge Beach

This is an amazing location between these two bodies of water. We love walking over to the mighty ocean and then coming back to our own private retreat right on the bay. Many times the ocean is roaring and the bay is calm. Other times the ocean is more calm and the bay is churning. Just to experience these two forces is incredible. We feel we have the best view of all and many of our renters tell us the same thing. Many of them come back each year.

We are located within Outdoor Resorts. You can go to their website on line and find more information as well as directions. Just type in Outdoor Resorts and click on the link for Virginia Beach. It is a very well kept, quiet and family friendly resort.

What makes this mobile home unique

Sandbridge has so many rentals. There are even a lot of rentals within the resort we are located in. What makes ours unique is the location and even the location within the resort. First of all being on the water. We are right on the Back Bay....steps away from the water. And, right out on the point giving you a full view of the Bay. Yet, we are within a five plus minute walk over to the ocean. So close to both the Bay and the ocean.... you get the best of both!

Having our own private pier makes it ideal to launch your kayak, paddle board.... or even fish off of. Being on a cul-de-sac gives you more privacy. Inside, every west facing window and the two sliding glass doors gives great views of the Bay. The layout inside the RV is an open concept therefore not dark and feeling cramped. In fact, it doesn't feel like you are in a trailer. When there is inclement weather you still feel like you are a part of nature with all the windows and sliding glass doors making the most of nature. Our kitchen is fully furnished with everything you could need to prepare meals except a dishwasher. To eat either inside or out is an option. The queen sized bed is a pillow top making for a good night's sleep. We have two air conditioners to keep our guests very cool. One in the bedroom which gets super cold! In the cooler months we keep a small electric fireplace along with the furnace to keep it warm and cozy inside. With a walk-through bathroom it is not a tight fit. Having a tub is nice for those who like to soak after a day at the beach. Our floors are tiled making it ideal for pets. Having a small yard is a benefit to them too. For those who have more than one dog we allow two. A perfect get-away esp for couples and especially those who love to bring their dogs. It is a private little get-away right on the water that not many know about yet keeps those who find out about it coming back. We think you'll be blessed to find this little place.

Great little getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a long weekend in November with two dogs, and the rental was perfect for what we needed. The views of the bay are amazing and the ocean is only a short walk away! The RV park is very nice and good for dog-walking.

Owner's Response: Shay, we are glad our rental met your needs with your two dogs. We also have two dogs and like for them to go with us when we travel. It is nice to take them to dog friendly places and for them to have their own yard. The resort we are located in is very pet friendly therefore pets are welcome. It is especially nice to take them for walks along the beach. We take ours up near the refuge along the beach and take off their leashes and just let them run wild for a while! We used to see wild horses running along this same area. They have since re-homed them back down to N.C. which is less than 10 miles away. Hoping to see them again someday! Thanks for writing this review.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review, Bob. Glad you enjoyed your time right on the Back Bay. You can even hear the sounds of the water from inside the trailer which is nice during the colder months. We always appreciate reviews even during the off-season when not much is happening there just solitude:)

Owner's Response: Barbara, thanks for the thoughtful review. So glad it worked out for you to stay at our rental. We had just gotten a cancellation for that time. Anytime we can re-rent it we fully reimburse the one who cancelled. You guys got such beautiful weather. For those who don't care about swimming in the ocean October can be one of the best times to be there. It is quiet and so very peaceful. We love sitting out on the deck watching the birds fly overhead in their V formation for the winter. Or if it is cooler outside sitting inside with the electric fireplace running while watching the evening sunsets. No matter inside or out you always feel like you are out in nature with all the beauty. We are glad you guys got to experience it. Come again:)

Quiet, peaceful & relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

The home is perfect for us, just big enough and no extra work . We pulled in, unpacked and began enjoying the bay immediately. The views were constantly changing. We had daily visiters, loons, ducks and more. The jumping fish were a hit with the dogs. Speaking of the dogs, our girls were able to enjoy it too, with the huge yard and walking areas. We loved it and have already booked 2018. Margie & Ray's was a frequent stop and the beach was magnificent! Very clean and maintained, amazing bed and plenty of kitchen/dining areas. Lesa was awesome to deal with, so helpful and accommodating. Shopping for food easy at Food Lion - decent prices. We felt completely relaxed and are ready to return next year. You can't beat the price for that location and vicinity to the beach. Quite a value and everything you need in one little package. THANKS Lesa!! Blessings, Tom & Sharon Klepach, April May and Vivianne.

Owner's Response: Sharon, what a wonderful and detailed review you wrote for our rental in Sandbridge. I love how you said "no extra work"...you just pulled in and immediately enjoyed the view!" That is how a true relaxing vacation is supposed to be. We are especially glad to hear your furry friends had enough yard space. We find our guests with dogs love having their own private yard so as to not have to take them down an elevator or out for a distance such as the case with hotels. Glad the bed was comfortable for you too! That sure helps get a good night's sleep. Also, the cul-de-sac we are located in is so quiet and peaceful overlooking the Bay. Waking up each morning and opening the bedroom curtains is such an amazing view! Even rainy days the view is never dull. My husband and I love watching rain come over the Bay! And, you definitely found our favorite place to eat....Margie and Rays. Almost every time my husband and I go down there to clean we stop by Margie and Rays for breakfast! And thanks for mentioning that we keep it "very clean and maintained." We work hard on cleaning....changing mattress pads, pillow protectors, bathroom rug and everything for each guests. We clean it the way we would expect a place to be for us when away from home. We are blessed to have so many guests come back each year. So, next year we look forward to you guys coming back with your furry friends. We will have it all ready for you:)

Beautiful sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect place for a cozy getaway. The hosts are very welcoming and hospitable. It was wonderful to be right on the bay. It was very relaxing. It is very close to Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. A great place to observe nature and fish. There are some great seafood restaurants nearby.

Owner's Response: Thanks Lynda for taking the time to not only write this thoughtful review but also a post in our guest book. We loved reading about all the different types of wildlife you saw while there. We are blessed to have an ideal location for bird watchers and have had quite a few stay with us over the years. We are so glad you got to see the highlight of our location and that is the beautiful sunsets! Some of our guest will get up early enough to walk over to the Atlantic Ocean to catch the sunrises which are amazing. But, watching the sunset over the Bay is such a peaceful way to end the day. To watch both sunrise and sunset especially over large bodies of water is truly a site to behold. Next time you want to do some bird watching we would love to have you come back. Thanks, Lesa
