About the property

Mobile Home, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Experience the beach life as you stay within walking distance of two spectacular bodies of water. At any one time you can enjoy the intensity of the Atlantic ocean or walk back to your own private retreat and look out over the bay from your covered deck, sun room or even your bed. This cozy, well cared for, like new RV is on a beautiful lot right on the bay. You can watch the most beautiful sunsets. Also, if you have a boat or jet ski you can bring either and explore the bay.

The sun room which looks out over the bay, has a full size futon with a nine inch mattress. The master bedroom has a queen size bed from where you can look right out over the bay. The bathroom is full size with a full size tub and shower. This open floor plan gives it a spacious feel.

If you are looking for peaceful seclusion and accommodations that won't drain your bank account, such as the high prices of the beach cottages, then this is the place for you. It is also within a private and secure resort community.

About Lesa Lewter

My husband and I used to take our four kids to OBX every year for summer vacations. It was always so crowded and expensive. One day we stumbled across this place and we never went back of OBX. Here is what we love to do when we go to Sandbridge. We wake up in the mornings walk over to eat breakfast while looking out over the Bay at Baja's coffee shop. After breakfast we walk across the street right next to the condos to the beach access to begin our morning walks. While walking along the ocean we like to pick up the early morning seashells that the ocean has brought in. We have been fortunate enough to find a small star fish, a few sand dollars and conch shells. We have even seen baby sea turtles scurrying to get out to sea. We walk down to the wildlife refuge. After our morning walk we go back to our place and get our beach chairs to set up our place on the beach. Sitting out on the beach watching the dolphins and pelicans while reading a favorite book is pure joy. We can come and go through out the day leaving our chairs there until we are ready to go back over to the Bay. For dinner our favorite thing to do is call Margie and Rays for carry out and bring it back to our place and watch the sunset while eating out on the deck. The highlight of our day is sitting in the lounge chairs on the deck and watch the brilliant colors of the sunset. Time and time again we are in awe of such brilliance. During the evening we love to sit out on the pier looking up at all the stars. You can often hear the sound of the ocean even from our place.

As you can tell my husband and I love the water. For us it brings peace and tranquility from this crazy world. And that is what we want to do is provide a refuge for our guests to come and truly get away from it all. If they leave feeling refreshed we feel like our goal has been accomplished.

I have listed these ideas mentioned here as well as some of our other favorite places here on our website.

Why Lesa Lewter chose Virginia Beach

This is an amazing location between these two bodies of water. We love walking over to the mighty ocean and then coming back to our own private retreat right on the bay. Many times the ocean is roaring and the bay is calm. Other times the ocean is more calm and the bay is churning. Just to experience these two forces is incredible. We feel we have the best view of all and many of our renters tell us the same thing. Many of them come back each year.

We are located within Outdoor Resorts. You can go to their website on line and find more information as well as directions. Just type in Outdoor Resorts and click on the link for Virginia Beach. It is a very well kept, quiet and family friendly resort.

What makes this mobile home unique

To listen to the sound of the water while watching the sunset is the ultimate means of relaxation. At times you can even hear the sound of the ocean waves from our location.

When inside you can look out any window from the unit and see the water. We love watching the fish jump and the blue and white herons come up to visit. Even the evenings to sit out on the pier looking up at the night sky and see the stars is awesome.

Sandbridge is not a crowded touristy beach place. You can get away from it all out here. The wildlife refuge with the trails just down from the resort offers a back to nature time. This is a little private get-away that not many know about yet keeps those who find out about it coming back each time. You'll be blessed to find this little place.

What a beautiful location. The view of the bay was gorgeous. The sunsets were amazing. It was a quiet, peaceful location and perfect for our family. We could not have been happier!! Lesa was responsive, professional and seemed to really want to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The rental was clean and comfortable! We will be back again in the future!

Owner's Response: Allyson, we are so glad your family had a wonderful vacation! We loved reading about all you guys did in our guest's book......saw a stingray, para-sailed for a first, lounged in the hammock while watching the beautiful sunsets! I could post a million sunsets on here b/c each one is so amazing! I love when our guests enjoy them as much as we do! The sunrises over the Atlantic are just as spectacular....just harder to get up that early! Glad it was worth your drive coming down to Sandbridge to find our little place overlooking the Back Bay. It is a perfect getaway from the busyness of life. Thanks for sharing with us about your stay and for writing this review for others to see. We hope you come again!

Owner's Response: Thanks Susan for the "2 thumbs up" review for our peaceful retreat overlooking the Bay! How wonderful you got to reunite with family in SB. It is a great place for families to spend time together. Glad we had a comfortable and clean place for you after that long drive! BTW, thank-you for the gift you left for us! That special time came and it was divine! For us that is just sitting back in the lounge chairs on our deck watching the sun go down. We never tire of watching the sunsets out there. Hopefully you can come again and stay longer esp. in the summer. The ocean sure feels refreshing on hot summer days! Thanks again, Lesa

A Relaxing Location with Beautiful Sunsets

  • 5 of 5

If you enjoy water, this is the place for you. You are surrounded by fresh water as you sit on the porch observing wildlife. A quick walk out of the complex takes you to the beautiful and low keyed Sandbridge Beach. If you like the touristy destination of Virginia Beach and it's 3 miles of boardwalk, you are only 15 miles away. The cottage/mobile home is well equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals. The wireless internet and cable are good. The space is perfect for two people, but can accommodate more if you don't mind being a little cramped. Lesa, the owner, is very quick to respond to communications. My wife and I are planning on returning next year.

Owner's Response: John, we are so glad that long drive from Ohio was worth the trip for you and your wife, Erin. Our place out over the Bay is ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all and watch sunsets together. Even when rain moves in it is relaxing listening to it and watching it from either our deck or inside. Recent guests were blessed to see a huge rainbow! Others got to watch an otter playing out in the Bay and another told us they saw an eagle. Our place is for those who love the beauty of nature. Thank-you John and Erin for being our guests. We hope you do come again:)

Slice of heaven in an unexpected location!

  • 4 of 5

Lesa was very accommodating and responsive. The RV has wonderful sunset views! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary supplies. We visited during a non-peak time so the RV park was extremely quiet. Although the weather did not cooperate with us, the accommodations were just as lovely as described. Thank you.

Owner's Response: Liz, thank-you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review for us. We have so many guests send us emails, texts and pictures of their stay but few take the time to write a review. We appreciate them all but especially when others can read on our website they are pleased helps inquirers to know more about our place. In spite of the weather not cooperating we are glad you got to see those beautiful sunsets. It is nice to be able to see them whether you are sitting on the sofa with the little electric fireplace glowing, eating dinner in the little breakfast nook or snuggled up in the big bed! Even in the off season there is still so much beauty all around to behold. Thank-you Liz!

Great Fall Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I almost didn't bother writing a review since I felt I would just be repeating all the other 5 star reviews I had read! My wife and I came down from upstate NY to visit our daughter who moved to Va. Beach several years ago, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay! We came in mid-October and had temperatures in the upper 60's-low 70's which was still comfortable for the beach. Our daughter and her dog stayed with us for the weekend and we just had a great time! Ditto all the other reviews about the beautiful setting on the bay and the close proximity to the ocean (you could hear the waves from the site). The owner, Lesa, was very accomodating, checking in several times over the weekend to make sure everything was OK and providing useful info about local food establishments, even offering us a later checkout on our last day since there wasn't anyone staying there that night. We're thinking of coming back down for another visit next spring and would love to stay here again!

Map

Right in the resort there are two pools, whirlpool, health club, bath facilities, laundry rooms, playground, tennis courts, volleyball, bicycle rentals, and a boat ramp. Take a ride on the tram/beach vehicle from Little Island City Park to False Cape State Park. This back to nature park is one of the last remaining undeveloped areas on the Atlantic coast. Check out their site at False Cape State park for more information. Or if you want more activity you can visit the strip at Virginia Beach with all the shops and boardwalk. There is also the light house at Cape Henry. You can go to their website to find out the hours it is open to climb up to the top and look out over the magnificent Atlantic ocean. If you are a history buff you must go to Case Mate Museum with the moat all around it. Go to their website for more information. It is a little bit of a drive but worth it if you love history. There is so much to do in this wonderful area.
