Please know that Expedia put their own description that you will have the whole home to yourself. " This is not True" This is a beautiful private room in a house with a 43” smart tv in a beautiful one story beautifully decorated home in a peaceful neighborhood close to highway 5, & Close to Bethel, close to so many major attractions within 5 minutes, Hospitals, Civic Center, Famous Sundial Glass Bridge, Lakes, Hiking, So much more Redding offers! We have great & safe neighborhoods for walking and a park on the corner of our street 2 houses away. My husband & myself have been hosting for the past 9 years many people from all around the world and have a 5 star rating and have been awarded 5 times and are proud of it. We recently bought this home and remodeled it ourselves and everything is brand new! we are proud to share our home and give comfort and peace and quiet for our guest and make you feel you are at home away from home. You become our family during your stay and we want you to make your self right at home. Coffee & Tea is available & in the morning your will find a pastry and fruit. Come be our guest! We look forward to having you! P.S. We also have 3 mini dachshunds on board! Lucy, Scout & baby Posie woof....and don't worry our rooms are pet free ! See you soon!

Fantastic place

The room was beautiful. The host was so very friendly and provided us top notch accommodations. Her house is beautiful. Every morning she had coffee and blueberry loaf with fruit. The bathroom was nice and clean and supplied with everything we need. Our room was exactly what the picture shows. She provided cookies, water, WiFi password, and beautiful decorations. The ability to come and go was easy and safe. The host and her husband respected our privacy and time together.

Simply the best!

This is my second time staying with Bob and Mary, who I now fondly call “Mom and Dad”. This is my favorite place to stay when I travel to Redding. Everything is beautiful and clean, and Bob and Mary are kind, loving and caring hosts. The 3 doggies are cute and loving. Best VRBO in town! Don’t go anywhere else!

Complete peace of mind!

I was in town for 2 days of business meetings. Mary and Bob were delightful, welcoming hosts. They are very nice, considerate and thoughtful. They have thought through every detail. The room and bed are both extremely comfortable and you have your own Smart TV in your room. Highly recommended

Awesome place and location.

I had a good time in the Mary’s house. The room was nice, comfortable, well equipped and clean exactly as described. Mary and her husband were fantastic as a host. And the location was excellent for Bethel church.

Fantastic hospitality

Mary and Bob made our stay comfortable. We had a busy weekend planned and were able to rest comfortably between events. The room was perfect with all the comforts of home. This was my first time staying in a home with the owners and the experience was exceptional. We will be back next year!

Felt at Home

This rental comprised a king bedroom and use of several common areas within a 3 bed 2 bath home in a quiet, convenient neighborhood. Owners live on-site and occupy the master suite. We found everything comfortable and easy. Mary and Bob are uber hospitable and had every detail covered. We were able to store groceries in a separate fridge and do some ironing as needed. There was a generous coffee and tea station stocked with fresh fruit and delicious baked goods round the clock. We enjoyed getting to know the hosts and spent some time together chatting over coffee, eating dinner and playing with with their three small dogs.

Great Neighborhood, Nice People

Mary and Bob were very accommodating and have a beautiful home with everything you might need for a short stay in Redding. They exceeded my expectations in every way. The one thing people should be aware of is that they have an 8:00 p.m. check-in time which they graciously extended slightly for me but will add an additional $50 if you have a later flight and there is a local housing tax of $32.50 that you'll need to pay after you arrive. I do recommend this listing.

Extra fees

It is a lovely home. My only complaint is we didn’t realize there were so many fees to be added on and then we weren’t told about the City Tax which was $42+ So in total the fees added an extra $100 to our 2 night stay, we were NOT happy about that!!!!

Perfect Home and Host

Mary and Bob are genuine and kind people. Their home is immaculate and my room was beautiful and clean. Expectations of me were clearly posted. Loved having the three puppies to play with an make me feel at home. Mary and Bob made me feel like family and I will only stay with them when I visit Redding again. Thank you so much!

Welcoming and Hospitable

Property owners are very welcoming and hospitable. Made me feel welcomed as soon as I got there. Very beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Room had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. Very clean and felt safe.

This just what we needed! So restful!

We enjoyed our stay with Mary & Bob. Sweet hosts and beautiful friendly little dogs. The room and house were very comfortable and we were able to rest very well. We had a great break as a result of staying in Redding at this beautiful home in a very safe neighborhood!

Expedia had listed that I had the “whole house” which is not accurate. It is only a room at the house, but the owners are amazing and very accommodating. They apologized for the confusion and although I had never done a room only before, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would stay there again!

This was an Amazin Home

Mary and John provide a haven and beautiful home away from home. The Beds so comfortable, and the place was beautiful with a view of the forest off the back porch. The homemade treats were a treat. Being able to hang out with the hosts made the stay even more special. The snacks Special water coffee and tea station fabulous. Muffins, fruit, cookies it was a Christmas wonderland. The Christmas decorations were so nice with us having to be be away from home. The Bathroom was wonderful with fluffy towels. Mary and John made us feel welcome and the dogs were a real bonus. We will stay again.

The description of the property is inaccurate in Expedia which states: “About this property Entire Place You’ll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.” This is incorrect, the reservation is for a room in a house the is shared with other people who are not in your party”

My Stay in Redding

I truly enjoyed my stay with Mary and Joe Kalabolas at Yaweh House. They were gracious and kind. They made me feel right at home. The house was immaculate. My room has everything I needed; it is comfortable and inviting. Fresh towels each day. I will definitely stay there the next time I go to Redding alone.
