Great location

We enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Maison. The house is in a great location for walking into town and we only used the car to drive over to the Ile de Ré. Lots of green areas in close proximity to walk the dog as well as the sunny and secure garden at the back of the house which was also dog friendly.

Merci pour votre appréciation dont voici la traduction Nous avons apprécié notre séjour au Petit Maison. La maison est très bien située pour se promener en ville et nous n’avons utilisé la voiture que pour nous rendre à l’île de Ré. Beaucoup d’espaces verts à proximité pour promener le chien ainsi que le jardin ensoleillé et sécurisé à l’arrière de la maison qui acceptait également les chiens.

Nice house in a good location

The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. Only practical for the young and nimble! The house is a good base from which to explore the wonderful port town of La Rochelle.

La Rochelle with family & our dog

Fantastic house for family & our dog! My teenage son enjoyed the privacy of the basement bedroom. Our dog loved the garden & we got up every morning & walked her in the wooden area at the end of the road by the Casion & then the park (off lead). Easy walk to the Old Town with lots of restaurants. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Good old fashioned conversing with French owner Michele lots of actions & smiles as my French is very poor. Definitely recommend for a chilled holiday playing lots of board games in the garden drinking good French wine 🍷 Merci

The Little House

This property was good for my wife and I. Everything we needed was available. The location is good with a lovely stroll along the water into the town centre. Parking outside on the road was not ideal and it was our 3rd day before we could park directly outside of the house. Only downside was the based bedroom, this is not suitable for use. It is noisy due to hum of fans and dehumidifer that was needed to keep the damp smell down. Great house if you are looking for one bedroom.

Very nice little house in a great location

We spent a very nice week in August at ‚La petite maison‘. Our hosts were very friendly and replied quickly to any requests. We even got a pick up at the train station as we arrived by train which our tired kids and us appreciated very much. The house had just the right size for us with the two older kids staying in the basement room and the youngest sharing a bed with us. The basement room was a bit moist, but with airing out every morning and evening it worked out fine. We very much enjoyed sitting on the terrace for breakfast and dinner and that the house was so close to shops, town and the small town beach. Larger beaches are also easy to reach. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would like to thank our two hosts for their hospitality.

Semaine La rochelle JUIN 2025

La maison est très bien placée et la clim réversible a été très appréciée, d'autant qu'il y avait la canicule.La chambre côté rue a une très bonne literie mais ce n'est pas du tout le cas pour les deux lits d'1 personne situés au sous-sol. De plus les alèses des 3 lits étaient sales avec des cheveux ou poils....pas trop grave, on les a retirées ! Les chaises longues dans le jardin ne sont pas du tout confortables.Petite déception pour la dernière soirée où il y a eu un problème avec la serrure de la porte alors que je m'apprêtais à rejoindre mon époux pour aller au restaurant. Le propriétaire a été très réactif et s'est déplacé de suite mais au bout d'une heure , la serrure n'était toujours pas réparée. Nous avons donc dû passer la soirée à la maison... La propriétaire m'a rappelé en me proposant de venir avec son mari pour garder la maison afin qu'on puisse aller au restaurant . C'était très gentil de leur part mais vu qu'il était déjà 20h30 et qu'il leur fallait 20 mn pour venir, c'était trop tard ! J'aurais préféré qu'ils nous proposent de rester un jour de plus étant donné que la maison était libre toute la semaine suivante mais la proposition n'a pas été faite de leur part. Dommage ! Personnellement, c'est ce que j'aurais fait en étant à leur place. Somme toute, ils étaient tout de même très gentils.

c'est vrai nos locataires n'ont pas eu de chance réparer une serrure à 18h30 le vendredi soir tient de la gageure et nous avons fait le maximum elle a été reparée le lendemain matin.Nous leur avions précedemment dit qu'pouvaient partir vers 2 heures le samedi,mais quand mon mari leur a demandé quand ils souhaitaient partir ils ont répondu samedi matin,manque de compréhension ,dommage

Séjour de 5 nuits dans la petite maison de M. et Mme SOPENA

M. SOPENA, nous a très bien reçu, personne très agréable. La petite maison avec le petit jardin était très agréable, très propre et très bien placée près de la plage de la Concurrence et du casino. Avenue Colligny très calme. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Je recommande cette location, les yeux fermés.
