Christmas Getaway

It was a great getaway with my husband and two kids. We enjoyed the game room and the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils only thing I think it needed was a gallon jug to be able to make tea in.

Perfect

We loved our stay! We had 2 adults and children, ages 11 and 16. The kids loved the game room, swing, hammock, and hot tub! Small but efficient and within 5 minutes of hiking trails. The host is quick to respond. We would definitely come back.

Fun Stay

The cabin was perfect for kids and adults. It had everything you needed for your stay. My 6 year old loved being able to go into the woods and find sticks. We had hot dogs and smores by the campfire, played Nintendo in the game room and at the end of a long day relaxed in the hot tub. Great location to get to the water and trails. Only downfall was the road to get to the cabin is very rocky and rough but we took another way in and the road was better. I'd definitely stay again.

It was great - the road let a bit to be desired- but once we started using the opposite entrance all was good

This place was great - Loved seeing deer, comfortable cabin, perfect!

Our family of five was so happy in this cabin. The Game Barn was awesome. I loved playing PacMan and being able to turn on the AC! It was the perfect place for the kids. The cabin had everything you could want. The Jacuzzi was a nice way to relax. We especially loved how deer would walk behind the cabin everyday and we could enjoy fireflies. The fire pit was great and the perfect place to make S'mores! The host was really responsive too. Would definitely stay here again!

Great experience

For it being my first time I will say it was a great experience! The cabin was beautiful and clean. Loved the hot tub. Very cozy all around, the only Problem was just getting up the driveway and the roads getting there. Other than that we had a blast and will definitely be coming back again! The host was super nice and helpful when we had questions, and she answered quickly and even came to help us with the game room lock.

Just the facts

Beautiful location but getting to the property was difficult because of the washed out dirt road. Definitely need 4 wheel drive! All of the tv’s were great in the unit. Kitchen was pretty well equipped however it was not well maintained! Definitely needs a deep cleaning because I found bug droppings in the silverware tray! Cleaned it myself! The shower was great! However, the clean towels were still damp and there was only 1 wash rag for 4 people! Bad mattress in the front bedroom and the living room furniture has seen better days! The overall cleanliness of the place was poor! Great front & side porch but it was really dirty! If the place was cleaned up it would be great!

Girls trip

A few of us girls traveled from Texas to meet here to celebrate a friends birthday. Although due to natural disaster circumstances we were unable to use the amenities, the host was easy to get ahold of and accommodating , the property was as listed, Hochatown was fun, we enjoyed our stay.

Cozy little cabin

Make sure to follow the directions on which road to drive in on! Such a cute, fun cabin. It offered plenty of space for my family of 4. Our little girls loved the oversized couch to have movie nights and we loved the space to explore just off the back porch. Everything was there that we could have wanted!

Perfect for small group

We booked this cabin for a girls trip. Perfect size for us four girls! The road was a bit rocky and bumpy but we all had SUVs so had no trouble getting in and out. Our only downfall would be the thermostat not being able to be out below 68 which wasn't terrible because it wasn't too hot out. Besides that it was perfect!

Very nice, clean. There is one part of the road that is a bit too washed out but there is another way around to the cabin.

Quaint Little Cabin

The listing and reviews are accurate. It would have been nice if there was more areas to put your things (like counter space or drawers) but it would be a tight fit. The bathroom is small but the shower was nice. I would recommend this cabin for a small family. The outdoor area was peacefuk and they provided enough wood for 3 nights of long nights by the firepit for $40. The road to the cabin is washed out on one side, but follow the directions provided and you loop around. We did have an issue with the keypad not locking the front door. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Perfect Stay

Paddles Up cabin was the perfect home away from home for our family. Careful thought has been placed into every detail of the cabin and we had everything we needed on-site to truly relax. The kids loved the location and true outdoor activities (so different from everyday city life). This definitely is the first trip of many to Paddles Up!

Perfect little cabin adventure

This cabin was exactly what we needed for our family to take in the Broken Bow/Hochatown scenery. The Evolve staff was very helpful in helping me fix my reservation mistake. I had forgotten it was a holiday weekend so I only booked for Friday through Sunday. I contacted the team and they were able to help me book the extra day without much issues. While there we had a problem with the AC unit. We came back from an excursion and found the temperature had increased to 75 degrees F. The thermostat had been se to 71 the whole time and we never touched it, but there was a sign that said that if the AC unit froze up it could be costly. We called our Evolve team member, Jamie, and had an AC repairman out in about 30 minutes. The fan broke, when caused the cold air to no circulate, and eventually froze up the unit. Pro 1: The location is close enough to the main road to get to anywhere in the surrounding areas, but remote enough to feel we would not be disturbed by random people. Pro 2: The features and amenities were all very good. There was a standard set of cookware and bake ware, which allowed me to make a cake for my wife's birthday. Hot tub worked without any problems, fire pit was nice to have for smores with the kids. Pro 3: Decent covered porch. It rained that Sunday but it was nice to have coffee and hang out on the porch and enjoy the scenery. Con: This cabin is not mobility friendly. Like most of the other residences around this place, the only way to get in the house was to take the stairs. My MIL came with us and she had recently recovered from a broken femur (cancer metastasis to bone). She had a hard time going up and down the stairs by herself. HOWEVER, we knew this when we booked the cabin and it was not out the the realm of our expectations. All in all it was an excellent trip supported by excellent lodgings. We are hoping to come back in the future.

Paddles Up was the perfect cabin for our family of 6 (my wife, MIL, 2 toddlers and a 5 year old, and myself). The location was far enough away from the main road to offer a quiet environment but close enough that we could get to our destinations quickly. There was no live TV as advertised, likely because somebody signed out of the YoutubeTV account - not that we really needed live tv. The wifi was reliable, which was great because I have TMobile and service really sucked. If your car has OnStar internet options, get it for the month, it'll be game changing if your mobile wireless service doesn't work. Our AC went out while we were out during the day. We never touched the thermostat and it was set to 71 the whole time. Jamie from the Evolve team answered right away and was about to get an AC guy to come out and fix it. The fan motor had busted and needed to be replaced. He arrived fairly quickly and was able to fix it in about 30 minutes. Our kids really enjoyed making smores by the firepit. This was all around a really enjoyable experience and we are half joking that we just need to buy a cabin out there; but the consensus is that we would like to come back.
