We are single-listing Vrbo Hosts, welcoming you to enjoy the comfort of our basement suite located in our family home.

*We clean according to the CDC recommendations and STEAM SANITIZE before each Guest

*Absolutely NO SMOKING/NO VAPING of any product allowed on this property.

Close to Royal Victoria Hospital, Georgian College, theaters, dining, shopping, GO Transit, Ski Resorts, waterfront walking trail, sandy beach, yacht club, Hwy 400, Hwy 11. Something for everyone.
Quiet house, quiet neighborhood, separate entrance, laundry available. Front patio with comfy chairs. Parking for one in the driveway. Street parking available April - November. Utilities plus fast Wifi included. Fully furnished and outfitted for daily living. Just bring your suitcase and some groceries.
When the NSS is occupied, I rely on my Guests to keep the Suite clean and tidy during their stay. I will continue to clean and sanitize the laundry room, staircases, and frequently touched areas outside the NSS.
* Included in the reservation is a weekly wash'n'fold. Each week, we will provide a complete set of fresh linens for the NSS (kitchen cloths, bathroom cloths and towels, couch blanket, bedroom sheets, pillow cases, comforter, and pillow shams). It's a simple weekly trade-off of linen baskets; clean for dirty.
** Included in the reservation for longer stays is a monthly maintenance clean. Once a month, the NSS Cleaner will come to perform a Maintenance Clean of the kitchen, bathroom, dusting, and floors.
***This Suite is cooled with AC along with the rest of the house, and the Suite generally feels cooler. Slippers and a sweater are suggested.
Please keep the windows closed to minimize additional utility costs.
*Our friendly and sociable family cat shares the staircase and laundry room

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay here! It was one of the best, if not the best, places we have ever stayed. So clean, and cozy. It was so well stocked, which left it a 100% no stress stay. Perfect location. Quiet and private. We will absolutely be back everytime we stay in Barrie. Our host was very attentive and helpful. A+++

Another wonderful stay

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights while getting her wisdom teeth out. It was an incredible stay. Very quiet and cozy, and my daughter adores the kitties that live upstairs. This is my 2nd stay here, and we will definitely be back. This is the most attentive host that I have ever encountered. We both felt like we were at home. Thank you!!

Perfect “home away from home”

Wonderful place to stay ! Laura the host is great and so accommodating and helpful. Fully equipped - you just need your suitcase!! A wonderful patio to sit and enjoy the sun as well👍

Exactly what we needed for our visit to Barrie

We loved staying with Laura. The apartment is tidy, warm and well stocked with supplies. Laura was very aware of public health guidelines and we always felt safe in the unit. Laura was very responsive, always texting back very quickly. We were especially fond of Lily and Einstein, Laura's cats who we visited regularly (they were often in the room next to our unit.) The apartment is a short walk from the North Shore Trail and Johnson's beach, great for an afternoon stroll. Highly recommended!

As a Host, I really want my Guests to be able to relax and feel confident that their accommodations are sanitized just for them and that their environment is indeed safe. As a Host, I want you to know that I feel safe walking in my neighborhood day or night, and I make sure to guide you towards your best experience possible while you are visiting. As a Guest, I hope you will do the same for me. For me, clean and safe = comfy and relaxed.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This property is my home and my investment. I renovated and created The North Shore Suite in 2019 as an income opportunity (of course) but I chose Short/Mid- term rentals for the opportunity to meet new people, hear their stories, and be able to offer them a clean, quiet remote work location where they can relax and feel welcome. Truthfully, with short/mid-term rentals, I have more control over keeping my Suite clean. 'Clean' is very important to me. If you feel the same way, The North Shore Suite may be a good match for you.

I like to give my Guests their space and privacy, but I am always an attentive Host if my Guests need anything.
