Sammy's Retreat offers you a holiday close to the beach with all the modern comforts and entertaining areas are set up to cater for you!

Enjoy an evening around the BBQ with family and friends, or time in the outdoor undercover area with a drink relaxing around the combustion fire.

Soak in the indoor spa after a day of activities (Instant Gas Hot-Water to all outlets throughout house).

For those who choose to seek the comfort of the lounge you will be able to watch your favourite movies or surf the internet.

If a quieter approach is preferred Sammy's garden offers a number of secluded locations to sit, relax and read a good book with your favourite drink.

Instantly felt at home,we all loved it including the 2 dogs. Beautiful beach walks, lovely gardens and great fire out the back.Have booked again for next year but for longer

dog heaven

We had a great stay as it was dog friendly they catered for the dogs and they loved the large back yard. The hosts made the house comfortable with little touches that made us feel at home. The house was very clean and tidy. We will be back.

Lovely getaway

Such a beautiful property with a big back yard and plenty of space to explore and play for the little one plus our pup. Rooms were comfortable and the little xmas decos all around were so cute and made our short but sweet holiday all the more special. The place was spotless & had all the basic ammenities you need.The only regret is that we didnt book more time here. We would love to come back.The hosts were also lovely and helpful.

Great Pet Friendly Home

We had a great time, very dog friendly loved all the outdoor areas, had the slow combustion heater on watching the television with the dog loving it out of the weather. Looking forward to our next trip to Stansbury.

Perfect seaside getaway

Sammy’s retreat is exactly that! A perfectly presented home with absolutely everything you could possibly need for a family getaway a stones throw from the beach. The property was exceptionally clean, with very comfortable beds and furnishings. There are loads of movies, books, games and toys for furry friends. We had a really relaxing stay and enjoyed lovely walks along the beach into town everyday and sitting on the beautiful deck reading.with great communication.

Absolutely disgusting

Paid for 2 nights but had to leave after 1 night due to a variety of issues at this property. Hosts were very unhelpful as were Stayz/Vrbo, each palmed us off to each other and after 4 months the issue remains unresolved. We do not recommend anyone stay at this property or use Stayz/Vrbo to book their holiday. Terrible service! Do not waste your money here.

Wonderful week

Three of us (includes our border collie!) had a great week staying at Sammy’s. We were lucky with the weather and explored the southern Yorke Peninsula. The property was really good. Exactly as advertised. Even though it was winter we were warm inside with the heating. Outside the fire and BBQ were very welcome. Stansbury was great to visit. Food at the Dalrymple Hotel was excellent. Happy to recommend the property.

Staying at Sammy's Retreat

This house and property is very clean, neat and tidy without being precious. It is comfortable and the layout is good. The back garden is delightful and there is space for everyone to find a comfy corner, including the dog.

Paradise beach house

We had a lovely time staying at Sammy’s retreat. The garden was a lovely surprise like a lost forest and it seemed like we were somewhere else. Our pooch Tilly loved exploring the garden. Wish we stayed longer but had to come back to reality. Will book again soon.

Beautiful holiday at Sammy’s Retreat

Me and my family spent a week at Sammy’s Retreat and it was a beautiful, relaxing, peaceful getaway. We needed a break from the world for a bit and got that in the oasis of Sammy’s Retreat. My beautiful dog Ginger loved holidaying with us too❤️

Fantastic home away from home

This property is probably the best holiday home we have stayed in. Everything you could want is there, it’s really well furnished, really clean. The garden and outdoor areas are wonderful. A really great spot to get away for a break.

We are both from south of Adelaide and spend a lot of time on the Yorke Peninsula. Relaxing and enjoying life are priorities for both of us. We chose to become holiday house hosts because we wanted to give people the holiday experience, we ourselves, including the fur babies would like to have.

We wanted to make a difference to a small town by attracting good customers into the community, which in turn generates revenue and helps the town thrive.
The lower Yorke Peninsula in general has so much to offer and we often find ourselves exploring in search of excitement and a great experience.
