This open concept luxury log cabin is situated on 2 private acres on the exclusive West Shore Rd of Kennisis Lake. Our property has been quoted as having the "best views on the lake" by many, and we offer plenty of areas to soak it all in. A true jewel of Ontario cottage country, the waters are clear, clean and deep with no weeds, making it an ideal location for Trout, Bass, and Perch fishing. The shoreline is rock with deep entry off the extra large dock. Kennisis Lake offers its own seasonal marina for boat rentals, premium fuel, launching, Kawartha ice cream and convenience store. We are 15 mins away from the ‘Haliburton Forest’ and Wild Life Reserve, which offers Tree top trekking, Hiking, Mountain Bike trails and rentals, fishing, snowmobile trails and rentals, dog sledding, a restaurant and the *Wolf Center (a must see) We also have our own walking trails right across the street which is perfect for cross country skiing or snow shoeing in the winter. Haliburton Highlands is home to many local artists with Fleming College a mere 45 mins away. Once there, they offer a free art walk through the “Sculpted Forest” or a week long art course (to be booked in advance) making this the perfect Nature lovers paradise, artists retreat or girls get away. After enjoying all that the outdoors have to offer, come back in and relax in front of the large wood burning fireplace, the screened in porch over looking the lake, or enjoy the stars while roasting marshmallows at the fire pit.
