Welcome to Great Escape to the Smokies! This beautiful 4010 sqft, 4 bedroom 3 full baths and 2 half baths cabin is the perfect place to base your getaway. Great Escape to the Smokies has parking for 3 vehicles, hot tub, wifi throughout the cabin, game room, movie room and is located in the Cedar Creek Crossing Resort in Wear’s Valley just minutes from action packed Pigeon Forge!

Main Level:
Entry level of this cabin features the living room, kitchen, dining area, 1 bedroom, and 1 and a half bathrooms.
The living area offers comfortable furnishings, flat screen HDTV, and an electric fireplace just perfect for casting a calming glow over the room. The fully equipped kitchen with all stainless appliances makes meal time a breeze. With the bar-top area providing seating for 4 and the dining table seating 6 people comfortably there's plenty of room for everyone. Just off the kitchen you will find a washer and dryer for added convenience.

After a fun filled evening, retire to the King bedroom suite which offers an HDTV and a private attached bathroom with a jacuzzi tub!

Step out onto the deck and let your muscles relax with a soak in the private hot tub, or warm up around the gas fire pit on a chilly day.
A charcoal grill is located in the yard close to the fire pit.

Upper Level:
Travel upstairs to find an open gaming loft, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms.

Enter into a little friendly competition on the pool table or perhaps bring out your inner card shark on the poker table. There is also a twin-bunk in the game area.

You will find 2 bedrooms on this level, each with HDTV and a private attached bathroom with a jacuzzi tub! One bedroom features 2 Full beds while the other offers a King bed.

Lower Level:
Head outside to access the lower level where you will find an open area bedroom with bunk bed, a movie room and a half bathroom.
The open area bedroom features a wet bar/kitchenette, a full-over-full bunk bed and HDTV.
Grab the snacks and popcorn and settle in for a movie night around the large HDTV.

Guests are provided with a complimentary Luxury Pass, offering a free ticket daily to several of the area’s most popular attractions.

Exactly what we needed!

We had the best time cathing up with friends for our 20th Anniversary, the cabin was wonderful, Comfortable beds nice jacuzzi wonderful atmosphere!

Great Getaway

We had a blast. Check in was a breeze the place is roomy and beautiful. The hot tub was great the downstairs theater room was a great our kids loved it. And us adults enjoyed playing cards while we were there beds are great and so are the bathrooms and plenty of them. We will definitely be booking this one again.

We had a great time. The cabin was clean and close to everything.

The cabin was good and clean. Definitely needs some deck work screws sticking out of the railing needs attention. Some of it was rotten. I think for premium price things like this should be addressed. Also the privacy fence was about to fall down. Just some things you need to address. But loved the cabin.

Frustrating

Frustrating. We were supposed to check in at 4pm on 25th (with possibly later because of high check in day) and we actually got to Pigeon Forge about an hour earlier than 4pm. I called and they said that the cabin had not been cleared by Housekeeping (HK) yet and that they will call when it is. We decided to go see where the cabin was and drive by just so we knew exactly where it was and then planned on going to get groceries/something to eat. We drive to the cabin and no one is there. So I call again and ask if cabin is ready and she said that it still was not cleared by HK (this was 15 minutes prior to 4pm) and she said that if we haven't received call by 5 we could call again. So we decided to go eat. We went to restaurant down on the main road. It started to snow slighly at a steady rate. 5pm I called again to see if I could get a code...still not cleared. A few minutes later they called and said they have the code for me. I got out paper and pen and then she says hang on one system says it is cleared and another says it isn't and she said that she would call me back. At 5:06pm I receive an email saying I have booked a reservation for a cabin that sleeps up to 58 people MountainView Retreat. I immediately am like what in the world? I called and spoke with someone and they said that they had to change my cabin because the original cabin Great Escape had a busted pipe and that the people that went there to fix it got caught in the snow and are unable to get out and they didn't want to send us that way because it wasn't safe. So I proceeded to ask where this cabin is and code to get in and also if we are going to be staying in this ourentire stay because the dates say only for a few days. I told her that I have 4 different families represented and children and it is hard to pack and unpack etc. She said that the cabin was available for only 4 nights before someone else would be there to check in and at that point they will have to move us and hopefully our original cabin would be available at that time. (We had originally booked 7 nights). Frustrated but she tells me this is the only option. We load up and start to drive towards new cabin. As we are driving we notice there is more of an incline on this road to cabin than other. We came upon people stuck and unable to get up mountain. By this time it is past 6pm and so I had no one to call because they were closed. **Wont let me type anymore**

Great secluded location but still close to town! Very clean and had plenty of room for 15 of us. Great communication and very friendly.

Nice…but not perfect.

Overall, this cabin is a very nice cabin with good space and accommodations. The only issue was cleanliness. It wasn’t too dirty…but showers and bathrooms were where I noticed it the most. I’d definitely stay again. It is a great cabin for small groups.

Great open floor plan, comfortable, would recommend

We had 5 families with 12-15 people who had an amazing time! We got a lot closer with the sleeping arrangements whose beds were very comfortable & exceptionally clean linens. I stay at rental properties often and while I would recommend this beautiful house, I would also like to indicate it needs some attention by the property management. First, it is clean but it needs a good deep clean... steam mop the floors, bathroom floors & showers. At least every room is missing a light bulb, which we ended up replacing ourselves as a desk lamp was provided for the one bathroom lighting. Most of the tv remotes were missing batteries, again we ended up buying , remotes were scattered amongst the rooms and one we never did find. It would be nice to have a quick list of directions when you have multiple remotes and devices in each room... and we had 2 techies with us! The blinds in the two queen bedroom were jammed in the open position & could not be lowered. While there were plenty of exceptionally clean white towels, there were only 3 washcloths and 3 hand towels for a home that sleeps 15. Same with the kitchen, only 1 dish towel and cloth. I would recommend bringing swim towels for the hot tub or else you dip into the shower towels. The deck rail by the hot tub is showing age and needs replaced as by the one spindle that was laying on the ground below and the jiggle when touched. There is cute decor on the front porch but atleast one is broken beyond repair & should just be discarded as this is the first thing you see when walking up the steps. The kitchen needs some tlc. The dishwasher is very finicky and does not always start. The stove temp barely reached 350 degrees & all the raised burners are significantly on a lean. Alot of the drinking glasses and coffee mugs are chipped or cracked but there is plenty of nice place settings and silverware. There is a ton of cooking utensils, pots & pans but no cookie sheet. The manual can opener gears are stripped, the soap dispenser built into the sink is broken & leaked over the sink the entire week. The broom for a quick sweep is more of a Halloween decoration over a cleaning tool & a dustpan would be nice too. We found the vacuum cleaner the last day in the front closet after we decided to fix the sliding doors that were jammed & couldn't be open all trip. We called for garbage but no one showed so we called again. After that we decided to just enjoy the rest trip & pretend it was glamping!

It was awesome

Very great cabin everybody enjoyed the whole experience with no complaint’s. Very spacious , has plenty of dishes to cook with , beds were super comfy didn’t see or feel any bugs so that was definitely a plus!!! Will stay again . Dish washer wouldn’t come on ( or we didn’t know how to work it) so everything had to be washed by hand but other than that it was awesome!!!

Nice home but dissatisfied with access and some cleanliness

Nice cabin and family and friends enjoyed for the most part. Dissatisfied with the fact that you have to go outside and walk down some stairs to access to theater room and extra room with bunk beds. Not safe when you have kids and you cannot access room from inside cabin . Also in the extra room with bunk beds we found rat droppings in one of the bunk beds. Big inconvenience because the teenagers had to end up staying in main cabin with everyone but had to make room on couches and pull out beds. Will not be recommending cabin until they get the issue with access updated.

Looks Nice, Fews Issues

I did know there was an" outside" added on room with the bunks and a " theater room" no movies but 1(Disney ). There was 2 TV but neither worked. Wasn't advised to bring firestick. The theater was (blue ray) 🗣upgrade. Wasn't the cleanest down there. Kitchen was great space. Batteries were missing in most of the remotes, I believe I left them,lol Dishwasher had standing water, never used it.(paper products) The ice maker would make ice, never dispensed it out, so we went fishing with our hands. Patio very nice furniture could be upgraded bc of weather,I'm sure. I like they did have sand buckets for the few that did smoke. Other then that I can say My 40th Birthday was the best. We also made a Tik Tok on the stairs, perfect Spot😆 Oh and there were air mattress available. One problem I ran into and thought was strange was, we didn't have the code to the kitchen door from the outside it connects and goes to the bunk room, and so we had to leave that door unlocked so that if the ppl downstairs needed to " house" they would be able too..

Bunk room not what we were expecting

The bunk room is only connected to cottage from outside. It was musty and not at all what we were expecting!! No one wanted to stay down there so 3 of our party slept on a blowup and the cot in the game room area. It was was disappointing!! Plus the bunk room area wasn’t clean!! We called and was told it was clean and new, hum??? The rest of the cabin was super nice!! But you should change your description so that it is known what you are getting.

Best vacation!!!

The house was amazing! We loved the loft upstairs. We spent most of our time up there playing pool and spoons! So many fun memories were made. Then proximity to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was wonderful. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful House

Very nice house. It had everything that you could possibly want. I was very happy with the property. We only had one issue, and that is the faucet in the downstairs jacuzzi tub was broken and there was no way to use to tub. It dripped water the whole time that we were there and I couldn't get it to stop. We also had an issue with VRBO as they initially gave me the address of a house in Gatlinburg an hour away. When we got there they realized their mistake our door code did not work and we found that cabin was occupied. Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone with a large family looking for a fantastic house. Of note, this may be important to some people, is that the house is in a community not in the mountains. So if you're looking for a rustic getaway, this is not the house for you. On the other hand it was close to everything in Pigeon Forge.

Spring Break Get Away

The property was nice and spacious but very, very unclean. The bathrooms were dirty, dead bugs everywhere, and a dirty pair of children’s underwear under the beds.

Loved it!!!!

It was very spacious for four adults and three kids. It had everything we needed and more. Having a jacuzzi tub and shower in each of the bathrooms was a bonus. I would highly recommend to others.
