Property was great. Loved the house and the location. There seems to be an error in the listing, though, which said it was something like 900 square feet. It almost made me not rent it because I thought it would be too small. Iā€™m wondering if itā€™s more like 1900 square feet. The property was a very nice size despite what the listing says.

Our family group of four had a delightful time at this Ontonagon property. Really cool floor plan, clean, updated with all the amenities in kitchen and living areas. And we enjoyed mornings and evenings on the enclosed front porch. A short walk to Lake Superior, a short drive to Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park (highly recommend the Escarpment and Presque Isle River loop hikes) and a worth-the-trip drive to Houghton (highly recommend the Quincy Mine tour). Will hope for a repeat stay when back in the area.

Annual Ontonagon Trip

We enjoyed being able to stay closer to town and go to more of the local shops and restaurants. Close to the beach and the neighborhood is nice and quiet! Didn't use the kitchen but its gorgeous! Enjoyed the shower downstairs for days after the beach.

Snowmobile trip

Great place to stay no issues. Everything worked as it should. The only issue is parking is extremely tight of your brain a trailer. It was very difficult to park our 28 foot snowmobile trailer. The rear area for parking does not allow for swing as it is off a very tight alley. I would definitely use this house again!

Great house to stay, poor service during winter weather

This is a great house to stay at! We have stayed here several times and love the house in every way. We did not love NOT having shoveling and plowing services done during 4 days of a winter weather storm weather blizzard. We called EVOLVE and spoke in detail about our situation as well as contacting the owner of this property (off site) on the first day the snow started falling. The owner didn't get back to us until the morning we were to check out when we were shoveling to get out. EVOLVE spoke with concern to help us get snow removal done so we could get in and out of the property. EVOLVE said they would call the owner, call me back AND email me with results. I never heard back from EVOLVE. The owner blamed it on the guest services person and EVOLVE. We had to shovel the driveway and entrance into and out of the house for 3 days. This included getting plowed in at the apron of the driveway after the street plows went by. Snow fell for 3 days in an area where Lake Superior effect storms play seriously upon transportation. We were very disappointed with the owner and EVOLVE. This could have been handled very differently had anyone acted with concern for their simple responsibilities as renters.

Beautiful and Clean

A very large house that looks small on the outside. Plenty of space and all the amenities walking distance to Lake Superior and town. One king, two full-sized, and a single bed and playpen. Attached bathroom downstairs is with the full-sized bed. Owner was welcoming and communicated well. Kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

What a lovely home! Everything is so nice and very well thought out. Very charming! We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book this home again next year! Plenty of room for the whole family. My husband and I canā€™t wait to bring our children up for a visit. Very short walk to the beach or to town. This property has everything youā€™ll need for a wonderful stay!

Family visit Ontonagon

House was the perfect size for our needs. We had 2 families, a family of 1adult with 1child and family of 2adults with 2children. The house was very clean and had everything needed for the stay, minus food of course. The ping pong table was a nice bonus for the kids. Took 1 star off because the tub upstairs was leaking from the drain pipe. We let the owner know right away. She responded right away. We opted to not use that one and use the other 2 showers for the rest of the stay which was doable. Bathroom was usable just not the shower/ tub. Location was great also. You did feel safe and the beach, shops, and restaurants were right down the street. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location

The house was comfortable, clean, and well located for our hiking trip in the Porkies. The kitchen and bathrooms were pretty well stocked and the beds were comfortable.

Great house in safe neighborhood

This house was amazing. Basement even had full extra living room and ping pong table with ball and paddles! Great neighborhood. We walked to Syl's restaurant, the coffee shop, and to the beach. All just a 5 or 10 minute walk. Great stay for visiting the Porcupine Mountains. Would recommend.

Weekend Get Away

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of house. Everything was well kept. The upkeep and cleanliness made the home feel welcoming. I also enjoyed sleeping in a king size bed, many places do not offer king size beds. We wanted to do rock hunting and there were beaches close enough to offer that. Syl's restaurant has amazing food and was just blocks away and Connie's offers great coffee and lattes. I love old houses that are kept up and this is one of them. From the crown molding, to the oversized trim, wood floors, and the staircase railings were all in wonderful well kept condition which I enjoyed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

Great spot in Ontonagon

I stayed with my partner and his family and we really enjoyed our time in Ontonagon. The house is lovely and in a great location. I would recommend and stay again. Our host looked after us and made sure we had everything needed to enjoy our stay.

It is a cute, clean house, close to where I was working. I have a problem with Evolve assessing an insurance damage fee as line-item cost on the bill. By the time I saw it, I had already submitted my request and would face a penalty for cancelling. I will not be using a VRBO with this company again.

Very nice stay

Had a great stay at this property. It worked perfect for our vacation to the Porkies! The house was very clean and well cared for. We had a blast using the ping pong table in the basement also. Would definitely stay here again.

Lots of room (and rooms). Well maintained. Excellent furnishings. Fully supplied. Close to Lake Superior. Less than one block from the sheriff's office. We are happy we stayed here!
