About Morton House
Morton House is a beautifully updated two-storey country retreat in Glenlyon, set on a fully enclosed half acre just 10 minutes from Daylesford. From the moment you arrive, the home makes an impression, with a dramatic roofline and a warm, welcoming feel that sets the tone for a relaxed regional stay. Ideal for families, couples or small groups, Morton House blends comfort, character and practicality, with three bedrooms, a sun room for reading or games, a fully stocked kitchen, an indoor wood fire, outdoor fire pit and plenty of secure fenced space for dogs to roam.

The space
Downstairs, the main living and dining area is set up for long lunches, movie nights and quiet evenings by the fire, with a Samsung Frame TV, Sonos sound bar, wood fire and heating/cooling for year-round comfort. The kitchen has been freshly updated and is fully stocked with everything you need for a proper stay, including a toaster, kettle, blender, utensils, pots, pans and glassware. There’s also a separate sun room with books, games and a day bed that can convert into an extra double bed if needed - a lovely extra space to read, relax or keep kids entertained.

Upstairs, the home’s character really comes into its own. The pitched ceiling and exposed beams create a beautiful sense of warmth and personality, while the master bedroom includes a king bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan and an ensuite with a large bath. Throughout the house, you'll find colourful artwork that adds warmth and character to every room. The Samsung Frame TV doubles as a beautiful digital art display, allowing you to choose artwork to suit your style during your stay.

All bedrooms include panel heaters for the cooler months.

Outdoor living
Outside, the fully enclosed half one-acre yard gives both dogs and children plenty of room to roam. There’s outdoor dining for warmer days, and an outdoor fire pit for crisp country evenings under the stars.
