Spacious LOG Cabin ready to offer relaxation and comfort; perfect for large groups or a couples trip. The great room offers a gas fireplace, 70' smart tv with a16 foot spread of expansive views that lead out to a large covered porch.


Cabin has two master bedroom/ bathrooms with king beds.
Enjoy beautiful starry nights by the fire pit that overlooks the mountain

Very easy to get to but nestled on a dirt road with trails down to the App State Soccer complex for walking your dog; 3.5 miles to downtown Boone but feels like you are out in the country.

Wonderful Boone home!

This is our family’s second stay at this home (and hopefully not our last). The house was clean and spacious enough for our large group, and the communication from the owner’s was great. Everyone from ages 7 to 70 enjoyed the stay and appreciated the amenities and comfort. The kids especially loved the arcade game, pool table and hot tub. The views and sunsets from the decks are hard to beat. The trail right outside the door is so convenient. The home is very convenient to downtown Boone/App State, while also far enough away to be quiet and feel a little secluded. As others have said, the internet is a little slow but was good enough for our kids to stream some movies and we had good cell coverage if we needed to use our cellular data. It wasn’t an issue for us because we like to “unplug” a little anyway. We look forward to our next visit!!

Beautiful mountain home

We just had the best stay at this beautiful home for our daughter’s graduation from App State. The house is spacious. 2 primary suites, 2 other bedrooms with multiple bed options. Fun basement game room with a pool table, games etc… Hot tub on basement porch level. Plenty of towels provided. Beautiful stocked kitchen with anything you could need. We grilled burgers on the gas grill on deck while looking at the mountains. The house was so clean! Even wearing white socks, they didn’t get dirty! Since we were here in December the house was decorated for Christmas with a tree, wreathes, lights etc… was a very unexpected great surprise. We enjoyed the lights and the gas fire place on our cool evenings! We highly recommend this house!!

Perfect- even during a hurricane!

The house is amazing! It’s so close to campus and downtown Boone, but far enough away to have privacy and relaxation. The pictures do not do this place justice, it is beautiful and super spacious! The owner was kind to check on us during the hurricane and even without power (for a short time) I enjoyed every second of our stay.

East Meets West

It was beautiful and comfortable. There was a great space for our group of 12 to visit and play games. The view of the mountains was wonderful, and we spotted deer several times from the back porch. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms and eating areas. Our grandkids enjoyed the game room and hot tub. We look forward to returning next summer!

Fantastic house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this particular Boone rental. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, even an air fryer. The kitchen had great appliances. The game room kept the kids busy. The house has a great lay out. The porch has a fence with a gate so that your little one or your dog cannot leave your sight. We travel a good bit and this house has been our favorite rental thus far. We will definitely be going back!

Fun house but needs work

Nice house with pretty good view and lots of beds. Unfortunately it was filthy. Host said their regular cleaner was on vacation so maybe it was just our bad luck. Lots of socks, crumbs, sticky floors, and even vap pens leftover from previous guests. Lots of insect traps around the house which wasn't surprising with how dirty it was. The ceiling fan in one of the upstairs bedrooms is unusable because two blades are loose and cause a lot of noise. Pool table is not playable because the cues are in such bad condition. Rug in living room is curled up around the edges and almost everyone trips on it. There are a few more issues a homeowner would be concerned with but not a renter. Could be a great house if a little more care was put in it.

Beautiful Mountain Cabin

We absolutely loved this cabin. We came up to ski and visit my daughter who attends App State. The location is great! It’s close to the town, with hiking trails and a brewery nearby. The kitchen is large and well equipped for those who like to cook. They had the fire pit stocked with wood and the hot tub was nice and hot when we arrived. The house was very clean and had plenty of extra blankets and bedding. There were tons of games and the basement game room was a hit with the teens. Lorraine was very welcoming and responsive. We usually don’t stay in the same rentals more than once, but we will definitely be back to this one!

Wonderful home and host

This property was absolutely amazing, clean, spacious, and has everything you need in order to have a fantastic stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, the downstairs area is full of games, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable. In addition, the host, Lorraine, is absolutely amazing and very accommodating. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay in Boone. We will definitely be staying here again.

The pictures do not do it justice!

This home is beautiful, and the view, gorgeous! Our little family enjoyed every minute staying in this home. It was clean and had all the amenities we could’ve asked for. Our kids had a great time downstairs playing games while the adults enjoyed meals on the deck, watching the sunrise and set. My parents live in Boone, and this home was very nearby to them so it made it easy for connecting with them throughout our time here. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful weekend away!

We had such an amazing time! This house is just perfect! Plenty of space for all 12 of us. Great size rooms, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Tons of cozy blankets to wrap up in to hang out by the fireplace. We absolutely would rent this home again. Communication with Lorraine was fantastic. Such an amazing host and person! Perfect Location and Perfect House

We LOVED this house! The location could not be better. We sat out on the porch every morning and evening enjoying the views of Boone. The house is set up perfectly for large families or multiple families and perfect for game-day weekends at App. Of course, the hiking trail to Booneshine made this house one of our favorite Boone rentals. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Lorraine for such a memorable weekend.

Amazing Views!

We loved this house! The views are incredible and we practically lived on the back deck which was very roomy with comfortable furniture. We enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife in the field below - deer, bunnies and groundhogs. The sounds of all of the birds and mountain breeze was so lovely. Really fun to watch the soccer games from way away too. The house is well stocked especially for a rental! Anything you could need in the kitchen, lots of extra blankets, tons of board games, charging stations everywhere for devices, and even some binoculars! The kids had fun in the game room in the basement, which was helpful as their isn't a yard for them to run around in much here. It is SO close to town and everything you need - groceries, gas, restaurants, etc. We normally like to try new places when we travel - but we will be back to this place for sure!

Great Vacation

Love this property! We’ve actually stayed here twice over the past few years. Plenty of space for our family of 8. The view from the back deck is amazing. Very peaceful. The kids loved the game room. Wish we would have spent more time at the house but we were active in the local area between zip lining, tubing, and shopping. Look forward to returning again in the future.

Amazing Cabin Close to Boone!

We had a fabulous stay last weekend - the cabin had everything we needed, it was very clean and comfortable, and the views were incredible! Also, my daughter was graduating from App State so it was really nice that the cabin was so close to campus. I would absolutely stay here again! :)
