Is a beautiful spot in a friendly community. Natural beauty to the lake and surroundings. Host was very complete in guidance and all worked out as was supposed to (check in, access etc). Home is very clean and spacious and even stocked with some treats and emergency food items if you arrived late or in the dark and needed a meal. All in all very accomodating and enjoyable stay.

Great cottage for the family and fur baby. So close to a nice quiet beach, chill area for dogs, lots of fans to keep cool on hot days and just a great space.

We loved our stayThe home was larger than it appears on the photographs and was pristine. And it had everything you might need… kitchen perfectly stocked, screened porch was lovely, beds were very comfortable. It even had chairs to take to the beach. Perfect place to enjoy Winnipeg beach, the piers and Gimli. Lovely quiet neighbourhood with easy walking distance to many beaches ..

Loved every minute of our stay. Located in beautiful and quiet area, right by the lake. House had everything we needed. We enjoyed the screened in porch, spent our mornings and evenings relaxing outside. The kids had fun going for bike rides and playing at the beach. Would love to stay here again!

Highly recommend!

Had a great stay for our annual ice fishing trip! Host was very responsive. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed! Very cozy cottage with comfortable beds. We had a lovely stay! Thank you Melanie!

A great place to stay!

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute! We loved the screened in porch which was perfect for coffee in the morning and visits at night. Would easily stay again without question.

Unplug, unwind, and stay awhile!

Property is absolutely above par in every way. Had a little misunderstanding about the exact location - thought it was right in the town of Winnipeg Beach based on the description. So definitely need a car to get groceries, or get to a restaurant, or for an emergency. Also, didn’t find out ‘til last minute, that tap water was not drinkable, and fireplace is not usable during the summer. Perhaps these details could be clarified in the property description. Other than that, this place is a gem!!

VRBO Vacay

The property was fantastic, had all the amenities as advertised. We did have a few questions for the property manager and the people answered within minutes. The location is in close proximity to Winnipeg Beach and Gimili. We really enjoyed the Sunroom and screened Gazebo. As we were there at the hottest part of the summer, we did miss having air conditioning. We would to this location.

Great vacation

Our stay was fabulous the place was very spacious and clean. The screened gazebo was well used by us. Any questions or concerns were addressed right away. Melanie thought of everything, all you needed to bring were your clothes and food. I would certainly come back next summer.

Quiet and very family friendly

This was the most enjoyable and relaxing week we have had with our two young kids in a long time. The cabin had everything we needed and was within walking distance to the beach which we really enjoyed. We are already talking about returning next summer!

Nice country retreat

This is a great little spot in a lovely part of town! The screened in deck was amazing to have during this years (and most years) mosquito outbreak.

Cozy Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at Melanie’s Cabin, she is a very good host. The cabin is in a nice quiet area close to the lake. We spent a lot of time in the spacious sun room and screened in porch.

Relaxing time at lakeside cabin

Beautiful Cabin

Our stay at the cabin was excellent. It is beautiful with a lot of space. Big yard for our pets to play around. Walking distance to the beach. We had great fun and a relaxing short vacation here. Clean, with all the conveniences that made camping really fun. Melanie is a super host; she was easily reachable and answered all our questions promptly.

Great cottage and quiet area!

Very relaxing! Lots of room to spread out, inside and outside. Screened porch / gazebo was well-used. Kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped. No a/c but there is afternoon shade which keeps the inside at a nice temperature. A tall stand up fan is provided for more comfort. Lots of outlets for electronics and very good wifi. Nice walking area and the beach is just a couple of blocks away.

Vacation Haven

If you want rest, relaxation, peace and quiet, this is the place. Surrounded by trees, yet only a short walk to the beach. The cabin is well insulated, with everything one needs for comfort and convenience. This was our second time staying at Velletta Carmel, and we are looking forward to our next stay.

We want to move in!

Our stay at the all-season cottage exceeded all expectations. I have stayed in my fair share of "cottages," but nothing compared to the comfort and convenience of this special place. The layout provided a spacious and refreshing environment, especially with the plentiful large windows looking out to the trees. The insulation and airtight windows helped keep the cottage cool, and I bet it helps keep the warmth in the winter. I would consider moving in, except I barely tolerate the mild winters in Missouri. :) One of the highlights was the screened-in porch, which quickly became my favorite spot. It provided a delightful sanctuary, shielding me from pesky bugs while allowing me to enjoy the captivating sight of rabbits and butterflies along with the sweet melodies of chirping birds. In fact, a pair of Eastern Kingbirds built a nest for their babies, and it was delightful to watch the mama diligently protect the nest and keep watch. The cottage was fully stocked with essentials, such as cookware, bedding, and towels. The blackout curtains provided a peaceful sleep and a fresh start each day. While the beach is only a short walk away, I was not well enough to travel the few blocks on foot. No matter. The serene yard offered me the natural space I needed to help recover from a chronic illness. Overall, the cottage was a delightful haven. . I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect getaway amidst nature's beauty with the lake a stone's throw away.
