‘Hunter’s hideaway’ is on a quiet street within close proximity to Hunter's great wineries. Wine tour companies will happily pick you up and drop you off from outside the door for no additional charge. Your home from home includes:
• An open living, kitchen and indoor dining area so you can enjoy each others' company
• Reverse cycle air conditioning in each bedroom and living area so you are comfortable whatever the weather
• An outdoor covered deck for dining
• A garden with a Weber BBQ
• Fast internet speeds for working flexibly or to unwind by streaming Netflix
• Top of the range dishwasher and laundry facilities so you can concentrate on enjoying yourself
• Quiet desk spaces so you can focus on work if you need to

Great stay

Central location, great to escape for a weekend away. The house was clean and tidy, having two bathrooms was a plus.

A great place to work and play

We came for a golf tournament and I had to work while he was playing. It was a great place to stay with good beds and cooking facilities meaning we were well fed and rested. The wifi was good and allowed me to work as if I was in the office.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful time at 'Hunter's Hideaway'. The property was clean, spacious, nicely decorated. Marcus was prompt with his replies and allowed us early checkin and late checkout. Would definitely visit again.

A weekend of bliss at Hunter Hideaway

Hunter Hideaway was the perfect accomodation for my friends and I! The gorgeous house was filled with special little touches to make it a beautiful, comfortable and inviting place to stay! Our hosts had thought of everything to make it a beautiful weekend away! We can’t wait to return!

Lovely little house with great location

Perfect cute and cosy home for weekend trip to hunter valley

Loved Hunter’s hideaway. We spent2 nights and enjoyed staying there. Property was clean and Everything was as mentioned as listed online. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect

Hunter's Hideaway exceeded our expectations. It was impeccably clean, comfortable and stylish. Every creature comfort is catered for from luxury toiletries, to complementary tea and coffee, there was even a beautiful bottle of wine waiting for us. Highly recommended.

Amazing for wine country tours or just relaxing at home

This property is fantastic for a family or group of friends. We travelled with 3 couples and there was plenty of room for everyone. Bedrooms are comfy and spacious. Living room easily fit 6 adults on the couches, and backyard was great for afternoon drinks. Kitchen fully stocked with everything to prepare a meal. Couldn't find one fault with the property. Marcus & Helen were exceptional hosts. Will definitely be back.

Highly recommended

Photos didn't do this property justice. It exceeded expectation. A very clean, well equipped and well thought out property. It has everything that we needed for a home away from home kinda long weekend. Parking was easy and the location was convenient. The spacious living area is inviting and perfect for a quiet night in for adults and children. The host was friendly and responsive with all enquiries. We felt welcomed and valued. It was a pleasant experience overall. Thank you once again Marcus and Helen.

Arriving at this property was a welcome surprise and our expectations were exceeded. The place was lovely and we had a very comfortable stay (family of 4). The house was cleaned spotless inside and the quality dishwasher, appliances and towels made our stay all that more comfortable. We also enjoyed the bottle of wine on arrival - thank you! (We visited the winery and bought more). The outdoor gazebo was a lovely place to sit and relax with some candles once the kids had gone to bed. We hope to visit again some day and are happy that the winery cancelled our accomodation at short notice or we wouldn't of had the chance to discover your place. Well done guys.

Lovely property however was not clean when we arrived

This was a great little property and perfect for our intended purposes. The furniture and appliances were all of a great standard. The property was old however was renovated lovely. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the property was lacking. When we arrived we noticed that the towels were all hanging wet in the bathrooms. We were not sure if they were clean of left over from the previous tenants. Also one of the beds appeared to have been slept in and the doona just pulled up. The floor had not been swept as there was popcorn and olive pits on the floor. The bathroom mirrors had splash marks on them and the bathroom counters and dining table had not been wiped at all. The coffee machine still had coffee from the previous tenants. This is not a comprehensive list. We kept noticing things that had not been cleaned the entire stay.

Excellent Property

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was perfect. The property was clean and very well maintained, host Marcus was very responsive and made the whole process seamless. The property is close to shops, which is an added advantage. Will stay at this place if I visit Cessnock again.

We celebrated our first trip of Happy New Year 2023 living in this Beautiful House.

Hi Everyone, I would like to start with thanking Marcus and Helen for letting us stay in their beautiful house, which is located in the heart of Hunter valley. We really enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous cosy house. Hunter valley garden, wineries, horse ridding and other activities are not far from 10-15 mins driveand supermarkets are not far from 3-5 mins drive. We were very impressed with a bottle of welcome wine on the first day and a coffee handed over on our arrival. It has beautiful backyard and outdoor patio where we enjoyed our bbq dinner full on. It has got everything that we needed to enjoy our time and We are 💯 % sure that any other residents would enjoy too. Its clean and beautiful house.Please do not think twice to book this house, just book it you will fall in love. Bbq candle light dinner was the best part. Big green grassy backyard where my kids enjoyed playing soccer. In sum, it’s five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Marcus and Helen are easily approachable and they reply quickly for your inquiry. Thank you once again Guys. We highly recommend all the people to Enjoy living in this house. We would love to come back again and again. Lots of love 💕🙏😊🤗💐

Great Cessnock Cottage

Enjoyed our stay at Hunter’s Hideaway. Comfortable, clean and homely. Communication and check in was good. Great location for exploring the the Hunter Valley’s many wineries. The welcome goodies were a nice treat. Recommend this Cessnock cottage.

A little about us..

We are both from the UK and have lived in Sydney for almost a decade. Marcus is from a small town on the English Welsh boarder called Shrewsbury, and Helen is from Belfast in Northern Ireland. We have always loved wine (mainly drinking it), but the Hunter means much more than that for us. It is a place where we feel totally relaxed, where we can escape the hustle and bustle of Sydney and enjoy a slower pace of life - We even got married in a winery! It’s a place where good food, good wine and good friends matter more than anything else.

After many trips here, we finally decided to take the plunge and start an Airbnb of our own. As soon as we saw Hunter’s Hideaway we fell in love with the place. After much hard work, we are excited to share it with you. We hope you feel completely comfortable here and enjoy it as much as we do.
