Our family of 4 (including two little ones, ages 4 and 8) just returned from a one week stay in the Dylan cottage. The cabin was adorably decorated and fans kept it cool and comfortable. The boys were thrilled to sleep in the loft (keep in mind if you have little ones, you may also find yourself going up and down that ladder)! To kick off our stay, Dave and MB were kind enough to invite us, and the guests from the other cottages on the property, for welcome drinks on the lake. The lake is AMAZING! Crystal clear and calm. We made good use of kayaks, SUPs, snorkels and floats available in the boathouse. When we weren't on the lake or exploring off property, we enjoyed playing basketball and soccer on the court, ping pong and foosball in the game room above the boathouse or lazing about in our cabin with a DVD or game from their collection. We were friendly with the other guests but often had the amenities completely to ourselves. You do not have to step foot off the property to have a good time BUT if you do, you couldn't have a better location from which to explore. The White Mountains, Lake Winnipesaukee, Portsmouth, and coastal attractions of New Hampshire and Maine are all easily accessible. Locally, there was a small supermarket with great meat and baked goods, several cute places to grab a bite to eat, as well as a few antique and specialty stores. In summary, this is a perfect place to spend your vacation!
