Very relaxing stay. Place is dated (who cares), but it serves it purpose to allow me to be near a quietish beach, & still come "home" at night with my family. A few touch ups & a deeper clean & this rates a 5. Had a blast with my teenage boys.

Great location. Its just a few steps from the beach. I like the outside shower to clean the sand off. House is older, but nice and clean. Very roomy.

On the Beach

The location of this property was perfect for a family vacation. The driveway is just steps from the beach. The beach was great for the kids to play as well as for relaxing. My brother caught fish in the area and there was even a nearby fishing charter.

I couldn't have found a better house... great location, plenty of room! We had two families stay the week, enjoying time together on the beach. The deck was nice, big enough for the kids to play, nice ocean breeze.

Always a pleasure

This was our 2nd time staying at the fort. The location and overall experience is always fantastic. The mattresses in the house could use an upgrade, but other than that you can't get much better beach living for the price. Tons of amenities and beach stuff to make your stay that much more enjoyable. The ice machine is my favorite. Never have to pay to fill up your cooler everyday.

The Fort at Fort Morgan

Loved staying at the Fort at Fort Morgan. The house is just a short hop over the dunes to the beach. Being located at a dead end road eliminated any traffic and we felt safe with the kids playing outside. We will definitely come back to this property.

Close to the beach

The house suited all of our needs, it had an amazing area under the deck for small children to have sand playtime when we were not on the beach. Perfect access to the beach, it was literally a couple minutes walk. The house was very homey and included all the amenities we needed

Needs some updated furniture

Overall, the property was fine, location proximity to the beach was great, but the furniture within the home needed updating. The mattresses/beds in all of the bedrooms were not comfortable. The master bed had a high point in the center and then the sides dipped down where you felt you would slide out of the bed. The sofas in the living room also were not comfortable. In addition, the floor had dips where it felt the subfloor was giving way/rotting and there were cracks in the flooring (believe it was luxury vinyl plank). We strategically placed a dining room chair over one crack in the flooring so our feet wouldn't get pinched when you walked over it. The TV, ice maker, dining table and chairs were all great. I would not choose to stay in this house again.

Wonderful House, great location

The Fort is very nice, very comfortable. My family and I had a great time. The house in location to the beach was perfect. The beach is beautiful and it was nice, not being so many people on the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely visit again!

Location, Location

We loved the location in proximity to the beach, I would love to stay again, the only suggestion I would recommend, is the master bed has a very noticeable dip (permanent depression) on the right side that reduced sleeping comfort. Overall, Thank you for having us.

Enjoying The Fort

All enjoyed our stay very much. Grandparents, children, and grandchildren we all enjoyed it. Plenty of room and close to the beach. Thank-You from all of us.

Private Paradise

This house was so perfect that it was ridiculous! Literally a stroll pass 2 houses and you are on the softest, relaxing, non busy white beach. The closest hotel is over a mile down the shoreline. So it's just relaxed locals and pleasant visitors there for a nice time. Most of the time we were practically the only people on the beach. The water itself never got below about waist deep 20-30 yds in. So it was perfect for our kids to play and even boogie board in. I caught a few waves myself! It was even soft shell crab mating season. So at night we went to the beach with flashlights and saw dozens of crabs. There's also a ton of amenities in the house that aren't listed. There's a sizable ice machine in the kitchen. So I never had to buy ice for our cooler. Plenty of cookware, washer and dryer, satellite TV, outside shower, coffee pot, box fan, and much more! There's a dollar general about 20 minutes down the road wich in itself is a relaxing drive. The house has some dating and wear and tear. But nothing major, and almost gives it a sense of beach character and makes you think how many memories must have been made there. I'd open the windows every morning and have a coffee on the deck with a view of the waves coming in. Then spend all day at the beach making memories with the wife and kids. Will definitely return for future vacations. Perfect private paradise.
