Wheelchair accessible.
This beautifully renovated lower suite with self checkin is available for your stay in the Calgary area.
Elveden is so peaceful yet so close to the city.

Fantastic place to stay

Perfect Stay

Quiet get away

We stayed about a week and never grew tired of this quiet, clean little slice of heaven with all of the amenities. It’s close to the best of both worlds, urban and rural. We’ll visit again!

Amazing stay!

This is a wonderful property. Very clean and cozy. We loved the massage chair and pool table. Host was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to any questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place

The Vrbo was very clean and in a beautiful location. We had a problem with the tv, and the host’s son came right over and helped us with it. The host and the son were very kind and helpful.

Clean, location, entertainment

This was an excellent rental. The place was really clean, all recently renovated, nestled in the outdoors. Loads to do for teens - pool table, basketball, arcade. 15 minutes from lots of activities like golf and Winsport.

Great family property

The host was very responsive and the rental had everything we needed. Just over an hour to Banff and 20 minutes to downtown. You can see everything and the drive to Banff feels shorter with all of beautiful scenery. Would recommend. Thanks Peter!

Great stay at an amazing location

At first, we thought the location was really far away from Calgary because we drove in through the backroads from the North. But we were surprised to find it was actually just minutes from all the conveniences; we even got our food delivered. The place was meticulously clean with comfortable beds. The boardgames were hilariously fun. Peter was an amazing host, readily available to answer any questions we had. We go to Calgary often. We now know where we will be staying each time.

Friends Golf Trip

This place is great. Few minutes to Bearspaw golf course in a really nice area with a bunch of acreages. 15 mins to Cochrane and 10 Mins to Calgary. Perfect spot to stay for a buddies golf trip. Lots to do at the property itself. We used the Foosball the pool table, basketball hoop and the massage chair got used non stop. Two tvs with all the good apps like Netflix, apple tv, Prime and basically every channel in the world if you want to watch the game, it's there. The owner is a really nice guy! He checked in with us to see how everything was and was happy to help in any way that would make the stay better. Definitely recommend staying at the Elveden manor. I will be back for my next golf trip. 5stars

Elveden manor was the perfect stay for our family on our week long vacation to Calgary and Banff. The location was close enough to Banff that we were able to make three day trips during our stay. We were close enough to Calgary to make two day trips but far enough away that you don't feel like you are trapped in suburbia or the noise of downtown. The house itself is very well appointed and very comfortable for a family of four (or more). Our teenage boys would likely have been satisfied to spend all their time at the house playing foosball, billiards and old school video games on the stand up console. My wife was very happy with the kitchen setup and we were able to make a few meals with ease. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. We all enjoyed the quiet countryside feel of the place and would definitely consider staying here again if we are ever in the area for another visit.

Reasonable Property, Questionable Hosts

The hosts were living on the second floor of the vrbo and it was NOT MENTIONED in the listing, so there was not much privacy. Since they live right above the vrbo they said quiet hours are at 10pm. Charged us 200 dollars for “extra cleaning fee and missing game room piece” because there was a missing chess piece when no one even touched the chess board. Said there was a bad smell coming from the oven when there was residue in the oven from before our stay and pinned the cleaning fee on us (we only cooked ribs and burned nothing). Since they live upstairs they made a lot of noise upstairs in the morning that disrupted our sleep. While property and location were ok, overall it was not a great experience, would not recommend.

I would expect this type of review from these type of guests. They broke every rule. While they stayed at the Manor. I have documented proof of the damage to our oven. The damaged sheets and the new towels they burnt using as oven gloves. Also missing items. Loud music and shouting through the night. I would never recommend theses guests to anyone. Nightmare Guests. The listing clearly states we live upstairs. I would definitely ignore this review and read the others left by real guests. Bryan must be very disappointed when he found out that our guest suite is NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Hence the review.

our Review on Elveden Manor Suite

Our stay at Elveden Manor Suite was very enjoyable. The rooms were spacious with everything we needed, available for our stay. The house was beautiful, very clean and tidy. My husband has accessibility limitations that needed to be dealt with and Peter was very accommodating to our needs. He provided a portable ramp for the different levels in the inside and for the multilevel decks outside. The games room was a big hit for the grand-kids as well as the big kids. The washer and dryer were well used with us staying there for a week. All three levels of the outside decks were lovely to sit out on and enjoy the beautiful sights of seeing deer and the fantastic Alberta weather. The only recommendation that we would suggest is to put accessible bars beside the toilet and in the shower. We’ve already suggested this to Peter and he said he was going to look into doing that. We would highly recommend Elveden Manor Suite to any one out there looking for a fantastic place to stay. Thanks Peter for everything our stay was perfect. Nora

Perfect

We stayed at Elveden manor for 6 nights in late Aug. The place was very clean and they provided everything you need to prepare meals for the week. The beds were actually comfortable and I slept very well. There was no A/C but there was a nice breeze coming through the rooms that kept the place at a very comfortable temperature. I used the deck in the morning to sit and enjoy my coffee while watching the sun rise. I saw a deer in the back yard one morning. This property is located just West of Calgary with quick trips into Calgary if needed. We were able to get 2 Banff area trips in. It's only just over an hour away. Cochrane is a nice town with little shops. Nice way to spend down time. Peter was easy to reach and responded quickly to any inquiries. We used the Basketball, Football, Badminton rackets and the various games they have. I as able to load my Netflix on the TV but there were sufficient channels already on the TV to watch. It was nice to have the washer and Dryer to use. The bathroom is an updated and clean space. We used the provided Park Pass to get into Banff 2 times and it came in very handy, did not have to stop by the booths and purchase a pass. Thank you Peter for the lovely stay!.

A Wonderful Place to Stay!

We found this property to be delightful! It was clean, comfortable, and had lots to do for entertainment without even needing to leave the premises. While my husband and sons enjoyed the arcade game, Foosball, and pool table, I found "my place" in the massage chair. So nice!

Beautiful

Peter has a beautiful lower level available. We were 5 people and there was more than enough room. The location is peaceful and an easy commute to Calgary to the East or Cochrane, Ghost Lake, Canmore or Banff. Would definitely stay again!

Our restful country retreat at Elveden Manor

We attended a wedding on an acreage in Bearspaw. Elveden Manor was 15 minutes away so the location was perfect. We had ample room for 4 people and spent considerable time on the covered patio and accessable sunny patio. Although it was hot outside we had fans and a cross breeze so we were comfortable. We all found the beds and linens very comfortable allowing for a sound nightly sleep. The kitchen was well supplied and our very friendly and hospitable VRBO host and hostess were quick to respond to any requests. Our unit was spotless. We were only 10 minutes from shopping and 5 minutes to the highway. I would give this VRBO a 10/10 and would not hesitate to rebook there on another trip.

Appartement dans maison dans la nature

L'appartement se situe sous celui du propriétaire. La salle de jeux est super. Le 3eme lit se trouve dedans. Il n'y a donc que 2 chambres. La salle de sejour-cuisine n'est pas très grande et on mange sur l'îlot central. Une seule salle de bains donc il faut bien s'organiser. On a vu des biches et un renard. C'est mieux que de séjourner en ville. En conclusion très bon séjour !

One of the loveliest locations in AlbertA, short drive to mountains, shirt drive to heart of Calgary

Sadly, we didn’t see any wildlife but it was peaceful and lovely. Great space, great location.

Perfect family "holiday house"!

We enjoyed our stay here so much, we were sorry to leave! It was the perfect distance to the city and the mountains and was exactly what we were looking for - and more. There were so many games (for all ages and interests) and things to do, the kids were constantly entertained. There was everything we could have possibly needed from dishes to coffee to extra pillows, and even a park pass for Banff that Peter graciously let us use. We were more than comfortable, and felt right at home - this was the best possible place to end and begin every day's adventure! The only notes I have (that don't at all take away from the five stars, but just things I'll take into consideration for next time we visit) are: there is no bathtub, which can be tricky with small, dirty children (though we did wash feet in the deep bathroom sink and that was perfect!); it is hard to make any of the rooms really pitch black, so if you have trouble sleeping when it's light, bring a sleep mask; and the shower head is quite low, so be prepared for that if you are tall. All things that we easily worked with and didn't negatively affect our stay at all. Overall, really excellent stay and we highly recommend this as a family vacation stay. We absolutely will be back!!
