Excellent location (we walked into town multiple times), the space was great for both our toddler and our dog, and the adults had a great time too! Wonderful communication from Deb throughout our stay.

The cottage was beautiful and clean and had literally everything we could have imagined. Deb even left bread, milk, jam and chocolates for us on arrival. We stayed for three nights and thought it was just a gorgeous little getaway from the city. Communication with Deb was top notch and she even mailed back a couple of little baby onesies we accidentally left behind. Amazing stay and service, thank you so much!

We loved our stay! The house was comfortably set up for all seasons. We enjoyed the outlook from the house, the bush walks with our dogs and the easy stroll into town. Ducted heating and a log fire made for a warm and cosy stay. We’ll be back- thank you, Deb.

Thanks for the great review Rachel, glad you enjoyed your stay and happy to have you back anytime. I had a laugh about your little dog. Theses things happen and you shouldn’t have left the money 😊
The house was warm and cosy. It was extremely well equipped, including bread, milk, butter and jams. We were very comfortable and didn't want for anything. Very secure fencing out the back for my dog. The beds were beautiful and comfy.
A perfect property to relax and investigate the area here and enjoy the Town of Avoca - our host and the property are great examples of how to do it right - lovely home - great appointments and everything you need at hand - great wifi great TV great heating cooling options and a fully geared kitchen. A lovely sun room at the end of the day to sip a wine or 3 . Perfect for your pet as the property is well fenced and in a quite street with bush behind.

We spent four nights here in freezing weather but the house was so warm and cosy. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything you need for a great stay. As well as the central heating it was wonderful to enjoy the wood burner at night. We had our little Cavoodle with us and she felt completely at home. Each day we went out and about the local area and this house was an excellent base to visit wineries and to follow up some family history. We would definitely love to stay there again.

Sweet little home. Lovely screened in (flyscreen) deck at the back so you can enjoy view/weather without flies and mosquitos. Good sized and well equipped kitchen. Comfy furniture! The view from the front of the house is a bit to be desired but the backyard, deck and the rest of the home make up for it. Deb was very lovely and accommodating. I would stay here again.

We had a beautiful 2 nights in Avoca, a very cute little town, and a cute cottage.
I have seen other reviews and I echo the sentiment, this house is better in person, the photo's so not do it true justice.
This property, provided by a wonderful, friendly, helpful and accommodating host, Deb, is quaint, clean and ample.
A beautiful wood fire, with plenty of wood at the ready was prepared for use, which we unfortunately we didn't get an opportunity to use, as we spent the nights out.
While it was cold outside, we didn't need to stress as there is electric ducted heating to use in leui, we had the split systems and electric blankets, so plenty of warmth.
oh and I cannot emphasise enough SUPER COSY beds.
Our German Shepherd had heaps of room to run around both inside and out.
The floors were both carpet and laminate "wood" flooring which she had no issues with.
Highly recommend this place for your get away. Even the little town, albeit tiny didn't disappoint.
Dinner and pool at the infamous Avoca pub was enjoyed, and the Award winning bakery that does an array of pies/pasties/sausage rolls etc, from vegetarian, beef, chicken, crocodile, emu, camel etc was super busy with very satisfied customers, oh and great coffee..
All this just minutes away from the property, that was surrounded by the great Australian bush, with trails to walk our puppy love.
Honestly, even if you're visiting Ballarat and don't want to freeze, it's worth the 50 minute drive to go out to Avoca, the extra 2°C (ish) was very noticeable, going back into Ballarat during the day you could definitely notice it....
Don't overlook this well appointed property and a thank you to Deb for having us 😊
