The Mariner was perfect! The view, sensational! We had a much needed relaxing few days here. The host was very accommodating, as we only booked on the day of arrival due to a last minute change in plans. The house has everything you need, is super quiet bar the relaxing sound of the waves.

View is amazing enjoyed wood heater very comfortable furnishings. Enjoyed stay, sunrise over water a highlight however A lot of rules including no food scaps in rubbish seemed extreme.

East Coast retreat

Great location to either explore the East Coast or relax and do nothing. The Mariner has a beautiful outlook on a rocky beach which invites rest and relaxation. Would definitely recommend.

Great Location

The location of this property could not be better. Waking up to the sound of the surf and being able to walk directly to the beach was fantastic. The house was very comfortable and we would return for a longer stay with the family.

Truly wonderful sleepy coastal stay

The Mariner is everything it promises. Spectacular position right by the sea and direct access to a very pretty coastal path. Truly magnificent ocean views from the lounge, kitchen and two main bedrooms. Tastefully furnished and very well stocked with crockery, cutlery and kitchen needs. Comfy beds with thoughtful selection of pillows.Be sure to take Maree’s advice to shop for groceries in St Helen’s or Scamander on your way.Maree is a very good communicator. Thank you for sharing your beach house with us. We will be back!

Beach Side Perfection

The Mariner was clean, well equipped and the views and location exceeded our expectations. Maree was a great host and contact was easy and regular. The little touches such as the coffee pods were a hit with us, we love our coffee and we didn’t have to drive to get a great coffee every day. Such a bonus. Falmouth is a great base to the North East Coast and as a family of surfers this spot was great to search around for nearby beaches. The endless beach view from the main window was our “TV” every day! Stunning! Loved the house and location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property did not disappoint. The view could not be any better. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful wood fire with plenty of wood to use. Very nice coffee with plenty of pods. No problem with internet or mobile phone. Beautiful walk along track at front of house. Only downside was no shops or restaurants near by.

Views as promised!

We've been to a lot of coastal properties and so many say "beachside" or "beach views" when it's really a 10 minute walk to the beach (or the view is obscured by other houses!) We were super-impressed by how close this was to the water and how you could hear the waves at night. Really dreamy! Also huge living area, kitchen and master bedroom. My only tip? Falmouth is pretty remote (that's what I love about it) so stock up at the providore at St Helens for tasty treats, this property has a huge fridge so you can keep champagne and cheese ready for all those incredible sunsets...

The property was absolutely beautiful. Great views of the ocean and very private. The house was extremely clean and has everything you need for a decent stay. There isn’t much around the area but it’s a great base to visit different areas and have a relaxing and peaceful holiday at the accomodation. Would definitely come back!

The views of the ocean from the lounge are amazing. The accommodation itself is good although not quite what we were expecting for the cost. We enjoyed our time here and found the bed quite comfortable.
