Sea Ranch 78

Looking for a quiet stay at the beach, a bit off the beaten path, but handy to golf and some of the best family fun on the coast? Try a stay at Sea Ranch 78, an updated, two-bedroom duplex designed for your comfort and convenience in the heart of quaint downtown Gearhart. You’ll enjoy a bakery, café and grocery mere blocks away, and easy walking access to miles of quiet, sandy beach, but a quick hop in the car will take you to world-class golf or the excitement and family activities of Seaside.

The two cruiser bikes in the garage will give you the run of the neighborhood. Inside, you’ll find a comfy new sofa in front of the gas fireplace and TV, a dining room that seats 6, and a galley kitchen with all you’ll need for dining in. Two spacious bedrooms, one a king and one a queen, have new memory-foam mattresses for a comfortable sleep in this quiet neighborhood. Sea Ranch 78 has its own backyard, with a patio dining table and plenty of lawn for the kids.

Combine your serene stay near the beach with golfing at the wonderful Gearhart Golf Links (the oldest golf course in Oregon, since 1892!), and enjoy a meal and drinks afterwards at the stately McMenamins Gearhart. Or take the family to Seaside or Astoria for the day to explore the historical sites, beautiful beaches and tourist fun galore. Or, if you prefer, you can beat a path from the Gearhart beach to your cozy stay at Sea Ranch 78 and have the quiet coastal stay you crave. It’s hard to find the blend of hometown sweetness, beach access and proximity to activity you’ll enjoy at Sea Ranch 78, and once you’ve tried it, you’ll be thinking of re-booking for your next stay at the coast!

The property had all that we needed. It was a little warm on the first evening and no a/c, but open windows cooled it down just fine.

Cons-Spotty WiFi, would randomly stop working-Kitchen faucet has hole in it, very loose-Fridge situation isn’t the best. Have to go into garage to access full size fridge.-Keypad on front door would sometimes take up to 5 tries to unlock even though typing in the correct code. -Looks better in pictures -Shower curtain hooks easily break, plastic-No AC only dirty box fans-Bikes squeaky and chain fell offPros-Good location-Very basic, but does the trick-Comfortable bed-Nice living room -Nice backyard with table and benches

Gearhart has a beautiful beach and this house is very close to the beach. Also fantastic bakery around the corner. When we arrived at check-in time it was still being cleaned and we were told the house was not rented to us. That got cleared up when I called the rental number but it was annoying. The house is in okay condition but definitely needs some TLC. The small fridge in the kitchen is weird and it also needs to have the doors fixed. Overall- we really like Gearhart and thought it was a great location to explore the coast.

Sunny weekend

Nice, sunny weekend in simple, updated space. Worked fine for three people. Umbrella or awning in back would be good. Kitchen faucet close to breaking. Great location in center of town. Loose area rugs need to be tacked down.

Perfect getaway with the dogs

Back yard is perfect shared space to relax with the dogs. Everyone comments on the kitchen fridge, which I get, but a full fridge in the garage is just 10 steps away. It gives you so much more counter space this way. . Comfortable bed. Wonderful spot so close to the beach access. Quiet area to walk the dogs.

Great location

One day of rain, one day of sunshine. Typically beautiful Oregon coast. This property is right around the corner from an excellent coffee shop and bakery. It’s a short walk to a beautiful, quiet beach. This place also has the best selection of children’s books. I’ve never come across in a vacation rental. The only weird thing was where the television in the living room is hanging. Makes it uncomfortable to see if you wanna sit on the couch.

Great location

The beds were comfy and the location was super convenient. The wi-fi was a bit shotty and there weren’t many amenities for kids, but we still had a great stay!

TV had trouble.

Overall, the property was very clean in a quiet place. The refrigerator setup was a little weird. Instead of stopping the countertop so a regular unit could be there they put 2 compact units under the counter. There was an older fridge in the garage so I had a place to put frozen stuff I had. really didn't need the extra counter for anything. The TV was a piece of crap needs to be changed. On the good side the bed was comfy the backyard was really nice I have a dog with me and we had room to play fetch. The beach and a nice park were not far away. Overall I would stay there again especilly if they putin a new TV.

Nice stay

We had a nice stay at the Meredith. The house is cute and gives a beachy vibe. It was unfortunate that the dryer was broken and that there is no decent freezer in the house. If you plan to go with 2 families, parking will be an issue. The house was very clean and comfortable.

Great spot for a beach getaway

Great location to the beaches and surrounding area. Kitchen wasn’t as well stocked as we had hoped, but we made do. Comfortable beds and overall a great stay for a couple or small family to stay for the weekend.

Perfect for our visit to the beach!

The location was great (really sorry fringe to Seaside, and not too far from Cannon Beach). We e were glad to have 2 bedrooms, each with a comfy bed. We only stayed 2 nights, but it was a comfortable rental. I would stay there again. Unfortunately being there on a holiday and then a weekday in the off- season, we were disappointed that both the bakery and the coffee shop were closed our entire visit. But that's what you get when you travel to a popular vacation destination in the off-season. Not the fault of the property, of course!

Wonderful Location!

We so enjoyed our stay in Gearheart, Oregon! This vacation rental was comfortable, had everything we needed, and we walked to the beach at least 2x per day. We were mere steps from the best restaurant local bakery, and tapas/beverage spot! We will stay here again!

Walking on the Beach

We went for a relaxing time with walks on the beach. The little town of Gearhart was friendly and had a few shops to visit. The walk to the beach was delightful! The little duplex was clean and comfortable.
