Family-friendly cottage right on Drag River


A cozy, family-friendly cottage on a well treed lot located right on the Drag River. This unique space offers a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. Inside you'll find 2 bedrooms (Bedroom 1 has 1 queen bed; Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed with double bed on bottom and single bed on top), a recently renovated bathroom, eat-in kitchen and family room with futon. We also have a bunkie (June 2021) with bunk beds and a futon. **Please note - the bunkie is unavailable during the winter months as it is not heated**

Enjoy the sounds of nature on the large deck or sit around the camp fire. Entertain yourself by swimming, fishing, canoeing, tubing down the river right to our dock, sun bathing, walking/hiking or cozying up to watch a movie through Apple TV, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or our expansive DVD collection. Sit back, relax and enjoy your time here!

Short driving distance to hiking trails, restaurants, Minden Whitewater Water Preserve, Minden River Walk, and the famous Kawartha Dairy.

Summer availability (July and August) - prioritizing 7 night rentals - Saturday to Saturday

Great little cottage!

We had a fantastic time at this cottage! It's clean, comfortable, and packed with great amenities, right by the water. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure their guests have an enjoyable stay. We'll definitely be booking again soon!

Nice property,beautiful place right on the river bank, good amenities and communication with the host. I would suggest to change the mattress in both rooms because they are very uncomfortable.

Lovely cottage with everything you need, and more! Perfect setting for just sitting and listening to the river flow to relax and unwind. Very comfortable and inviting.

Beautiful location

The cottage was small, cute, and clean, nestled in the trees over the river. Loved hearing the water flowing over the rocks. Swimming by the bridge, and tubing to the cottage was the highlite!

Cute cottage

Wonderful little cottage with everything you could possibly need. Location was perfect! The river location was fun and we highly recommend using the water rings. Communication with the host was excellent and we definitely book again if we were in the area.

Relaxing getaway!

The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Such a beautiful view looking out onto Drag River. The wood stove keep us warm and cozy. Lots of trails close by for hiking too. Great cottage if you’re looking to disconnect and relax.

Relaxation at its best

What a beautiful property! Went with the family and had a terrific time. Tubing, fishing off the dock and the firepit at night was so relaxing. Karen was very responsive and was a pleasure to deal with! This might become a yearly visit for us!

We loved this place, it is nestled in a beautiful spot on the river, the views are excellent and it offers great privacy. The cottage is very cozy and it’s equipped with everything you need! The hosts are very prompt to respond to any enquiries. Overall a great experience!

Awesome Getaway

Had an amazing time! It was very private and the sound of the river was wonderful. We had beautiful campfires went tubing, fishing, swimming and enjoyed movies and games inside and outdoors. The host was awesome and so helpful. Great little gem!

Beautiful, cozy cottage

Our family if 5 had a fantastic stay. The cottage was well kept, well stocked and had that cozy cottage feel. The property was beautiful and was so quiet and peaceful. The hosts were fantastic, providing us with a great welcome package and always quick to answer any questions we had. Added bonus of being close to 2 towns if you need to grab anything. Overall excellent experience.

Nice secluded cottage but near 2 towns for anything you need. Gracious and communicative hosts. Peaceful spot. Will be back for sure! Glad we came in our suv for the end of winter road conditions.

Peaceful retreat

Everything was awsome from the minute we walked in the door. It is so quiet and peaceful. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything you need and more! All you need to bring is you clothes and food . The bottle of wine that was left for us was a very nice touch. We are definitely coming back here.

Lovely little cottage on a gorgeous stretch of river

We stayed at the cottage over Easter wknd and had an absolutely lovely time. It was chilly outside but so cozy and warm indoors. We got out for a few hikes and played along the river's edge, had a few campfires and enjoyed the supply of boardgames and dvds. We hope to come back again soon. Maybe next time in warmer weather so we can play in the river!

Cute and Comfortable

This property was a pleasure to stay at. The kitchen was very well equipped and only lacked for proper (glass) wine glasses. The living room had an abundance of good reading lights which is something that many rental cottages lack. It was lovely to hear the babbling river as we enjoyed happy hour on the sunny deck. A real pleasure!
