Comfortable, modern cottage a few blocks from the lake in Grindstone Park

Modern, comfortable, clean cottage an easy walk from beautiful views of Lake Winnipeg in the North Cliffs subdivision of Grindstone provincial park. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus a mattress that can be placed on the floor for an additional person. Kitchen features fridge, stove, toaster oven, and a selection of cooking tools for making wonderful meals. Feel free to use our wide selection of spices. There is an older Vermont Castings propane BBQ and a Napoleon charcoal BBQ. When you are ready to head indoors, enjoy the TV with a DVD with a large collection of movies. There is also an adapter from HDMI to IPad/lightening to watch downloaded Netflix movies off your IPad. Water is from a well; we have a water cooler and will supply a 20L bottle. To keep the cottage comfortable, there is a ceiling fan and a portable air conditioner.

We have a spacious fire pit and lots of firewood, so bring your pie irons and the fixings for s’mores! Please watch for and abide by any fire restrictions. There is nothing but forest behind the cottage. The front-facing deck faces east making it a wonder place to enjoy your morning coffee.

The cottage does not have wifi and the cell service is not strong in the area.

Take a 5 minute walk north and enjoy a view on top of the ‘north cliffs’. Take a 5 minute walk east and enjoy a view across the lake of Hecla, Little Punk, Punk, Deer and Black Islands from the small rocky beach. There is a large sand beach with a playground nearby. The marina is a two minute drive - there can be some great fishing so bring a boat!

The Grindstone General Store is there to supply gas, fishing supplies, basic groceries and has a well stocked Manitoba Liquor store. You can’t miss it, you may want to drop in and get a memento of your visit.

You will need to bring your own linens, towels, and tea towels.

We are sure you will enjoy our cottage as much as we do. Please note that we will have some of of our personal belongings in the cottage and expect that you will respect those items. We provide our cottage so couples and families can enjoy it for a few days at a reasonable cost.
