Hobbit Hollow House is a turn of the nineteenth century Colonial Revival farmhouse located in beautiful Skaneateles, NY, the Gateway to the Finger Lakes. Our property offers spectacular views of our own White Birch Vineyards and Skaneateles Lake, known worldwide for its unspoiled beauty. In addition to vineyard and lake views, our guest rooms overlook colorful meadows, rolling hills and Hobbit Hollow Farm's beautiful barn and horse stables.

Hobbit Hollow House features six elegant and comfortable guest rooms, each uniquely appointed with well-crafted furniture and amenities that will make your stay more enjoyable, such as gas fireplaces, private porches and whirlpool tubs. Luxurious beds and linens will ensure a wonderful night's sleep for every guest.

Hobbit Hollow House boasts a fully equipped kitchen and elegant dining room allowing any aspiring chefs in your group to prepare exquisite meals from Finger Lakes sourced ingredients. If cooking isn’t exactly your thing, we can help make arrangements with one of the talented local chefs to prepare unique and delicious meals for your guests in the home. Or if going out on the town is more your speed, the Village of Skaneateles, only a few minutes’ drive from your front door, boasts a selection of many of the Upstate New York’s most acclaimed restaurants .

No matter the season, Hobbit Hollow House beckons you to explore its beauty. Choose from countless fun and exciting activities our area has to offer. Spend a leisurely day touring nearby wineries as well as many other local distilleries and breweries. Enjoy boat tours and dinner cruises on Skaneateles Lake, and visits to local farm stands and markets. Avid or recreational hikers will find a wide range of hiking trail systems only a short drive away, including local state forest trails, Ithaca’s amazing gorges and Letchworth State Park – the Grand Canyon of the East. Or perhaps you want to experience the spectacular annual fall foliage or downhill skiing, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing when the beautiful Central New York landscape is laden with snow.

A great gathering of family and friends to celebrate the 4th of July, a new marriage and two birthdays. The house was perfect, spacious and very comfortable. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and kitchen worked perfectly for our mostly outside party. Location is very convenient, and the lake view a nice bonus, highly recommend.

Another great stay at Hobbit Hollow

This is our 3rd year staying and it's a great property. Lots of room for multiple adults and children, it sits on a beautiful landscape and is a short drive to town. The property manager is very attentive and responsive. We would definitely stay again.

Hobbit Hollow is a great place for a family gathering. With 6 bedrooms sand baths, a series of gathering rooms, a large dinning room and kitchen, it is ideal for a gathering of family. There is also great outdoor spaces for hiking, eating and cooking outside and enjoying the outdoors. We'd love to do it again.

Stayed at Hobbit Hollow three nights over a wedding weekend in Skaneateles. Spacious, well equipped, gorgeous property. Great location with lovely views of the lake and the horse farm.
