Great location, great house

My family enjoyed our stay, the location is great and everyone you need is provided (beach toys, towels, etc). Maria is great to communicate with and we will definitely consider staying again!

Awesome place for a family vacation!

The location is wonderful! Right on the beach! The house was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were great to deal with. I would recommend this property for a family just wanting to spend some time together!

few days of beach after Chicago weekend

Weather was perfect while we were there and we spent a lot of time on the beach which was just what we wanted.

Very nice, owner really undersells the property.

Wonderful stay, very peaceful, great view every morning and sunset. House is very comfortable and the area is is spectacular. Hope to return again.

Lovely Long Weekend

The house was charming and felt safe. The beach was stunning with absolutely amazing sunsets. The pictures don’t do it justice. Maria was responsive and accommodating. We had a wonderful time.

Maria was very accommodating and easy to work with. The house was exactly as described and perfect for our group. Fantastic location, right on the beach, close to everything. Highly recommend and plan to book here again!

Great Beach House,Literally on Lake Michigan.

Great fully furnished beach house,used grill and fire pit every day. Firewood was provided which was great. All questions were promptly answered by management. Would gladly stay again, perfect quick getaway from Chicago rat race..

Best vacation we have ever had!!

We loved this house, the location, the layout of the home and property on the beach, Maria is a wonderful person and kept in contact with us when needed. The home is spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Tons of beach toys, chairs and water craft to play in the lake. My family had the best time, as did my three dogs, everyone was so relaxed and happy the whole time. We booked a return visit before we left it was so wonderful.

one of our most relaxing vacations yet

We loved the location! The house is directly on the beach and just a short distance from the Indiana Dunes. The house was comfortable, spacious, and well-stocked. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive. If we stay here again we would likely bring our own sheets or ask the owner for additional sheets as the linens are washed by the previous tenants. My entire family (my spouse, two young kids, and two dogs) enjoyed our stay and would likely rebook here in the future.

On the Beach

Our stay was exactly what we expected—it was on the beach and our dogs loved it as much as we did. I have spent more than 50 years renting cottages along Lake Michigan, but nearly all of the rentals were in South Haven Michigan. We enjoyed everything Long Beach had to offer and we definitely would return—it was an hour closer drive and quieter—very relaxing—good golf courses nearby and very reasonable green fees and the beach is pure heaven—plenty of space and many treasures to find walking along the shore.

Amazing location

This property is in an incredible location. The deck literally looks out over the lake and you can walk right off the back onto the beach. There is not a better location around the lake. The actual house was a bit outdated but very sizable and had some really cool features from the past. Overall if you’re prioritizing proximity to the beach, great views, and appreciate a home with a lot of character, you won’t find a better place. Also, Maria was delightful to communicate with. 10/10 would stay again!

Awesome location

We traveled with a group of 7 - 5 adults, 2 kids. The adults all slept in the upstairs bedrooms and the kids took the main floor bonus room. The house had plenty of space for all of us. We absolutely loved the beach even though it was incredibly windy while we were there (7-11 foot waves!), so we didn’t spend a ton of time out there. But hearing the waves from the bedrooms was the best white noise machine for sleeping. The other reviews here helped - we were prepared for stairs and a narrow driveway. Neither gave us any trouble though. The owner was very helpful and communicative! We would stay again.

Wonderful Home

Enjoyed our stay here. Didn't realize there would be so many stairs. Flight going up to get in the home and a flight going down to the beach. Then we knew about the stairs going up to the bedrooms. If you are young this probably wouldn't matter but to us older folks it sure made a difference. We should have looked more. The driveway was a shocker. Deep incline going down the drive. Best to backup in it. The beach was great. Needed more time to enjoy it more. The house was roomy and very nice. Any questions were answered quickly by Maria. She even stopped by to see if we needed anything. Very nice lady.

Lovely location but a few thoughts

The property is a great location--Long Beach, Indiana, about 20 minutes from New Buffalo, MI. Nice grocery and CVS nearby. Lovely view and easy access to a wide Lake Michigan beach. New kitchen and two new-ish bathrooms are nice. Plenty of space to spread out. Here are a few things to know: Three nice-size bedrooms upstairs are comfy. The "fourth" bedroom is a small daybed on what was probably a sleeping porch, and fine for a child or pre-teen. If you have any mobility challenges, know that the stairs from the driveway to the main level are steep, and slippery when wet. Railings help but our elderly relative would not have been able to manage them. Also: bring your own bath towels. The owners ask that you wash their towels (not sheets) if you use them. This is fine, but again if you have mobility issues, the washer/dryer is in the basement (steep stairs). It's a quaint old place (duplex, Sunset side) with charm. Would be even more pleasant with a bit more attention to small details.

Beautiful views & great beach access on Sunset Side (West)

Short stay but here's the pros & cons from our visit. Excellent communication with property managers. We encountered a few issues but were quickly addressed by them. Pros are steps from Lake MI beach, and great views from enclosed patio with plenty of seating, and decks. Nice, clean, fully equipped kitchen. You can hear the relaxing waves from all of the bedrooms, and beautiful view from back bedroom. In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Grocery store and restaurants nearby. We were glad to find a beachfront property that allowed dogs. Plenty of beach towels, chairs, boats, & toys, etc.... The few cons are that the property is advertised as New Buffalo, MI when in fact, it's located in Long Beach, IN which is a 10 minute drive to New Buffalo, MI. The property needs some landscaping updates, and stairs and railing need updated. The property is advertised to have a jetted tub which it does not have on West side. Couch in living room should probably be replaced. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for our much needed beach therapy!

What a beautiful place!

We LOVED the location of Maria’s home. Right on the beach! The views were phenomenal! The home is a wonderful amalgamation of the old and new. We can’t wait to return.

Great location!

This is our second time to this property. We love all the activities that are available to use. Very clean and comfortable. Nothing beats the sound of the waves crashing while sitting on the back porch drinking coffee or sipping your favorite wine. We will be back!

Delightful

We had a delightful time at the house on Long Beach Drive. It was steps to the sand and the view from the deck was magnificent. The living space was more than adequate for the four of us. I have a few nitpicks that are hardly worth recording. The main one is the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor. They make a sharp turn and can be dangerous for old people like us. My wife and I, both in our 80s, decided to sleep in the enclosed porch like room with the day beds to avoid the stairs. This should be noted in the website write-up. Finally, I must note that Maria was great to work with.

Long Beach Lakeshore

Great location and beautiful views (directly on the beach in Long Beach. IN). Communication from Maria throughout our stay was excellent as we had a few questions ahead of time regarding physical address. She made sure we were informed throughout and was very responsive as questions arose. My family and I loved our time here and would stay again.
