Great for a family stay

Pelican Retreat had everything we needed for our family of five and the dog. Compact house and yard but well stocked and clean. Very comfortable beds and nice bathroom.

Perfect dog friendly place

Lovely little house with perfect lake views. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. The enclosed, private backyard is perfect for that morning coffee and breakfast, or afternoon drinks with our 4-legged friends. Would be very happy to return.

Great Pet friendly get away

This is our second stay. The location of this pet friendly accommodation is great. Had every thing we needed and when we needed to contact the owner of a couple of things they were exceptionally responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

3 night stay

A lovely personalised space to spend 3 nights overlooking Lake Bonney, perfect backyard for our dog to sniff around in. A surprise welcome gift from our hosts was a very nice touch and the shampoo/body wash etc in shower was great, would definitely book again and highly recommend to family and friends 😊

Immaculate & Great Location

We were delighted with our accommodation at Pelican retreat. It was immaculately clean and provided all we needed for a great stay. It rained all day on one of our 2 days' stay so it was nice to have a view of the lake to sit and watch. The garden was lovely and perfect for the dogs. Thank you. ☺️

Lake Bonney Stay

Excellent facilities in a prime location. Own labelled wine was a nice touch as were the treats for us and our dog. It was good to have a secure back yard fo0r our dog to be safe in.

A sensational short stay with the dogs!

A very comfortable place with all of the necessary amenities for a group. The back yard a nice size, safe and secure for the fur kids to stretch their legs and investigate without getting into any trouble. We look forward to our next visit!

Very comfortable

Time ticked away too quickly at this very well maintained and comfortable place, with a peaceful view of Lake Bonney and excellent amenities. Stylish but simple and very well equipped, with a great bbq area and well cared for back yard. Just what our family of four needed, not wanting for anything.

Nice Getaway

This very nice property was exactly as advertised. The owners responded quickly during our stay as we had to get the bbq gas bottle filled. It is ready for the next guests now! :)

Spectacular sunsets!

Loved our stay at Pelican retreat! Very relaxing & peaceful. Neat, tidy & well equipped, Paul & Leanne have put thought & effort into ensuring little touches are made to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable. The best thing about the stay is watching the sunset from the front verandah. Just spectacular!

Great location

This is my second time to pelican retreat it such a lovely spot right on the lake. Easy walking to the main street and eating venues. Paul and Leanne are such wonderful hosts nothing is to hard for them always willing to help if needed. This trip no help required thank goodness. I will certainly be back again.

Pelican Retreat - wonderful

We had 3 nights in Barmera, right on the banks of Lake Bonney. The house was fabulous - had everything we needed and so comfortable. Our dog, Alfred, just loved being able to run along the riverside and we met lots of travellers camping nearby. Such a relaxing holiday. We'll be back!

We are very family orientated people and enjoy spending time with our family now including 3 grandchildren. Oh and a couple fur-babies.

We love simple relaxing holidays and have tried to recreate a similar experience for our own guests here in Barmera.
