It is not for nothing that Buenos Aires is known as the Paris of South America. Our apartment in this classic French style building, built circa 1935 is perfect for 2 - 4 discerning travelers looking for a unique and stylish property.

The apartment is over 70 square meters (over 600 square feet) and have an entry hall, full kitchen, modern bathroom, 2 bedrooms and business center, lots of light and open living room. The apartments are tastefully decorated in modern contemporary style: Italian designed leather sofas, king and queen sized top of the line beds, TV, DVD player and sound system, business center with internet hook-up and USA phone, fully equipped kitchen, vacuum, iron and board. The apartment will sleep four adults in king and queen beds. In addition, there is a couch which is suitable for a child or adolescent.

Just to clarify, there are two identicaI apartments that I manage. So if one is not available you can ask me about the other ones too.manage So feel free to contact me even if this listing shows unavailable. I love welcoming new people.

Do not go here, I left after my first night, had to scramble to find a new booking last minute, and it took me a month to get a refund. Neighbors dog barking all night. Water to the unit was turned off, stains on the sheets, hair in the bed. Layers of soap scum in the bathroom. I rented a 2 bedroom due to friends coming with me. The photos of the property did not match the unit I was given keys to. The unit only has one bed and a pullout couch. The owner would not refund, i had to speak to multiple managers at VRBO and send photos of the disgusting state of the property to get a refund. Property owner lied to VRBO and said he offered me another unit. I had to send screenshots of my whatsapp to prove him wrong. I wish I could do negative stars. Im just glad i arrived a week before my girfriend and family so they didnt have to deal with this property and its owner.

Cancelled booking

Our rating does in no way reflect on the original booking as we never got to stay there. Our booking was cancelled by the host unexpectedly when we arrived at the Buenos Aires airport.The host offered us another property but it was totally insufficient, old and tiny, no way was it anything like a substitute property. We refused to stay after seeing the property.I emailed VRBO with my complaint, they then closed it when the host offered us alternatives. They haven’t responded to my emails to seek restitution on this matter.We were then offered two other units. We selected the best from the photos shown and proceeded to meet the host.This property should never have been advertised. It was basically a building site and the unit had no facilities. whatsoever. It is a filthy property and should not be offered by VRBO. We had to pay an extra 220Usd to stay there. Being absolutely exhausted after no sleep for 40hrs, and needing sleep, we paid and spent a terrible night.We departed first thing next morning after we found another property.The original host offered a 20 USD a night discount for the change. He stated he does not offer refunds. Of Which we have not seen.The last host reluctantly gave me a refund of 200 USD and stormed away angry saying it was my fault for accepting to stay in his filthy unit.I have again emailed VRBO but still no response.

A Buenos Aires Must

Skip the hotel and live like a local. Matthew went above and beyond for us. Whether it was booking a dinner and show or providing us with endless restaurants and bars. The location is perfect and it felt like home for our entire stay. If you’re reading this review, stop scrolling and book now!

Lovely apartment, well located

What a lovely stay in an amazing city! This apartment is walking distance to Ricoleta Cemetary and is in a very safe, walkable neighborhood. Two comfortable bedrooms with 1 bathroom and a kitchen… but you won’t want to cook because the neighborhood restaurants are wonderful. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back again. Thanks Moi and Helen!

Fantastic host, ensuring our questions were answered promptly and our needs met. Flexible regarding our early arrival (leave suitcases in apt) as well as late check-out. Apt is quaint and very much a Paris feel. Highly recommend!

5 Week Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Matthew’s apartment. We stayed for 5 weeks total and Matthew contacted a number of times to confirm everything was going well and to give travel tip. We had friends call in for 4 nights and they enjoyed it too. Central location in a safe neighbourhood with amenities close by. Thanks Matthew!!

A Great Stay in a Even Greater City

My family and I spent 4 wonderful days in Matthew's property. The apartment is just as the pictures show, large, clean and full of old world charm an elegance. Making the stay even better was the fact that Matthew and his assistant, Helen, were extremely hospitable and attentive to our needs. I see a return visit in the future!

Comfortable and unique

We loved this historic and classical apartment in a great neighborhood. It has lovely woodwork, transoms over the doors, and tile and wood floors. There is a central spiral staircase and unique old elevator providing access to two apartments on each floor. Matthew was very communicative and offered suggestions of places to visit and eat. Helen takes care of the place and the check-in process. She is very friendly, but speaks no English, so we had trouble understanding what she was trying to tell us. Overall, we had a great experience at this rental.

Great apartment in a wonderful classic building!

We spent four days at Matthew’s apartment and enjoyed our stay. The building is fantastic and located in a great neighborhood. We were able to walk to get a pizza, then we walked to a restaurant called Don Hilario, which was very good. Check in with Helen was great-although neither of us knew what the other was saying, we both understood. Matthew was in contact with us throughout the stay, with many helpful hints.

Nice antique apartment.

This is an incredible bargain on a two bedroom apartment in the heart of Buenos Aires. It has a smart TV, so all of the modern streaming entertainment is available. The elevator is fun, you have to open and close the doors by hand. There is a demand water heater that will cycle on and off during your shower, unless you turn on a little hot water at the sink. Then the shower will remain at a comfortable temperature. Original hardwood floors are nice. Highly recommended. Beautiful, historic building. Great host. Very accomodating.

This place is fabulous! The apartment is large, clean, nicely appointed and GREAT location! Matthew was wonderful to work with and had so many “on point” recommendations! Quaint stay in Recoletta

What an amazing building with a lot of history. Our stay was perfect for what we needed. I enjoy old buildings and architecture. Imagining what life was like when this building was new, and all that it has been through intrigues me. Matthew was constantly available via What’s App and gave us tips along our journey. Unfortunately, it rained for most of our time in Buenos Aires. Walkable to market and restaurants just steps away make this a convenient location. Uber came in handy due to the rain.

Good location but need some care

The location is great!!! The bulding is beautifull and the elevator super cool is like travel in time 50 yearss ago. Close by there many restaurants, cafes supermarkets, hospitals... everything is walking distance. The downs are the person that deliver the key had me waiting in the street for 1hr 15 minutes and didnt pick up the phone. Although the owner responded but still took more than an hr to get the keys. The only ac is in the family But drips water. The Apt is nice but need a update it shows a significant wear and tear. On the bath room was a used soap from previous rental. The cleaning needs to improve. If they improve the service, cleaning and update of the facilities the apt is a gem!!!

Lovely apartment in Recoleta

This classically appointed apartment with high ceilings, wood floors, and stained glass details in a wonderfully central and secure location provided a perfect base for our explorations of Buenos Aires. The place was immaculate, had reliable wifi, and was a quiet spot in the middle of the city. Host Matthew responded promptly to our communications and shared thoughtful recommendations for things to enjoy. Helen was friendly, engaging, and helpful throughout our stay. When we return to Buenos Aires, we will definitely hope to stay in this apartment again!

Great apt in excellent location

Had a lovely 4 days here, the apartment is in a beautiful old Parisian style building with old school elevator, close to the Recoleta attractions and also close to the Aeroparque, Very good attention from the host, hope to return!

Recoleta - the place to be

Location, location, location- This apartment is perfectly situated in the beautiful Recoleta - so gorgeous! The building is also beautiful, too. The room is accurately portrayed in the photos so no surprises! We loved having access to a washer/dryer, too. But the best part about this stay is that the check in was so easy - there was no waiting around on the street, they were there right away to let us in. Also, the hosts were very responsive during our stay w any questions. We would definitely come back.

A Jewel in Recoleta!

We spent 2 weeks in this lovely apartment and will happily return! It's perfectly situated close to everything you'll need. The apartment has old world carm and was very comfortable. It's not sleek and modern but has all the modern necessities, including a washer/dryer in the unit. Matthew and Pablo were both incredibly helpful and friendly, Matthew gave us loads of helpful tips, tricks and pointers before our trip and Pablo took care of us during our stay. They were very attentive to any of our needs & requests. I'm happy to know that we have a place to return to again and again. Thank you!

Two BR in Recoleta

Matthew and Pablo, the apartment manager, were very helpful hosts, taking the time to explain how various appliances in the apartment worked and giving us recommendations to get the most out of our BA experience. The apartment is spacious, perfect for two couples, and charming with comfortable beds. We really appreciated having a washer in the unit as we stayed for nearly two weeks. We also liked the proximity to many top attractions - and found that we walked almost everywhere, which became yet another way to explore this beautiful city. We definitely plan to come back to Argentina - and BA - and would consider this spot to call "home".
