Centrally located in a quiet residential neighborhood, you won't find a cozier, more charming home away from home as your base for exploring. You'll love our elegant touches, the rustic but modern Euro vibe and thoughtful detail that has gone into making everything about staying with us the best. Welcome!

A spacious, bright and well equipped, modern kitchen with an awesome stove greets you as you walk in. You can leave your shoes / boots / footwear on the boot rack adjacent the door and your coat / jacket / sweater on the hooks provided above it. Or, in the either of the two ample closets found deeper into the unit, the first being on your left just past the huge fridge by the stairs.

The medium sized dining table that sits by the stairs is an excellent place to unwind over a meal after the day's adventure. The lovely modern bathroom is situated to the left of the fridge. The shower is awesome. And we are luxury towel / spa people.

The aforementioned stairs lead up to the hosts' main living space. This should be considered off limits. The door remains locked at all times. It is an entirely private, self contained space.

As you delve deeper, down the warm hallway, past the double closet, the next door on the left (also remains locked) leads the boiler / laundry room - ask the host if you wish to purchase these services. Just beyond that, the next door on your left, is the cozy main bedroom, with a comfortable, brand new queen sized bed and fine linens.

The cutaway design of the west wall allows for easy communication between the main bedroom and the spacious living area at the very end where you will find the Cable TV, ample seating (with a queen sized pull out sofa bed) in a soothing oasis from the rigors of the city and travel. It's a great place to chill and recharge. The back door to the large garden should be kept closed / locked but on warmer days it is lovely to keep open and enjoy the gentle garden breezes and golden sunsets. One could say that Time seems almost to stand still in these moments...

Why Jason chose Christie Pits

We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it. In the spirit of European home sharing, we wanted to offer discerning travelers a chance to stay in our lovely home. To this end we have created a wonderfully cozy, quiet but central northern European style flat like you might find in Holland, France or England.

What makes this apartment unique

Words can't describe the easy, quiet, downtown charm of Seaton Village / Christie Pits - the area that we are so privileged to live in. So centrally located with convenient, nearby access to Subways, Buses, Bikes Lanes and Taxis, it's hard to imagine ever needing a car. Toronto is a really easy city to get around and the following local attractions / areas are all within close distances / travel times from our downtown House:

• Pearson Airport - 25 kms / 15 miles. 30 mins. The UP Express Train that runs to and from Pearson International Airport is easily the fastest, most convenient, cleanest and absolute best option available. Our House is located near the UP's Bloor stop. The UP Train journey is only 17 minutes from the airport to Bloor Station and costs $11.40 CAD return. From Bloor station we are a 5-10 min cab ride or 3 subway stops away. The whole journey from disembarking to arriving at the House can easily take under an hour, depending on immigration and customs.

• Ossington Ave / Queen West / Parkdale area - 2.5 kms / 1.5 miles. 7 - 10 mins by Bus or Cab.

• Casa Loma - 3 kms / 1.8 miles. 10-15 mins by Subway / Bus or Cab.

• Yorkville / ROM / University of Toronto - 4 kms / 2.5 miles. 10-15 mins by Subway or Cab.

• Kensington Market / Chinatown - 4 kms / 2.5 miles. 10-15 mins by Subway, Bus or Cab.

Very cozy

It was a wonderful time in Toronto. The apartment is very cozy. The backer next door has a great coffee and everything one needs for a breakfast. The Underground station is around 10 min. on foot. The apartment is located in a quite residential area. We enjoyed staying there. Best greetings to Jason, the host.

Comfy digs in an excellent location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Christie Pits. The apartment is comfortable and well appointed, and located in a walkable neighbourhood with easy access to TTC buses and subway -- we were glad we didn't come by car as parking can be hard to find, though not impossible. Note that the laundry facilities are kept under lock and key and available for an extra charge, which is somewhat unusual as this is something that has always been included in all the other VRBO/AIRBNB places we have stayed at. The host, Jason, is very helpful and answers all queries promptly. Highly recommended if you're looking a nice quiet place that's still close to the city core.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind words Angelo. It was a pleasure to host you guys. Parking is actually very easy to find. ALL our guests who drive are able to find spots directly in front of the house or within a few yards, without exception. Also, since our only laundry facilities onsite are located in the furnace room alongside the main fuse box and electrical panels and mains for the whole house where we also store a great many personal belonging, we felt it was in everyone's interest to restrict access. It simply is unnecessary for anyone to need access to those other things and so this compromise solution makes the most sense. Mis-characterizing these details (which you cannot have known) makes us sound being overly protective or guarded, when nothing could be further from the truth. As mentioned in the description, if guests wish or need to do laundry they just have to ask. And a levy may or may not be charged depending upon many factors including load size, number of loads and time of day. These are reasonable parameters and no one has ever expressed any misgivings whatsoever. I cannot account for other properties. Hope this clarifies. Thanks again!

Jason was a wonderful host. His rental was clean, updated, and had everything we needed for our stay. Public transportation was nearby. On-street parking was easy to find and having a nice little cafe 20 seconds away was a good way to start each day.

This cozy, clean apartment with a Scandinavian feel was the perfect fit for our family

Our little family (mom, dad and 21 month old baby) thoroughly enjoyed our time at this Christie Pits apartment. The neighbourhood was great, with lovely parks and excellent coffee nearby. We were worried we would wake the baby in the evening since there is a cut-out in the bedroom wall leading to the living room, however this was not a problem since the kitchen was a comfortable spot to relax in the evening.
