I enjoyed the cabin. The communication with the property manager was awesome. I asked questions several times and the were very prompt to get back to me. I would highly recommend this property.

Weekend
Cabin was not cleaned very well before we checked in. Issues with hot water. Bath tub was dirty and barely drained. Furniture was uncomfortable. Bed was comfortable.
The cabin was clean and welcoming! We enjoyed it very much. Park was kept up and quiet, we were probably the loudest ones there. The only thing I seen that needed to be fixed was the seal on the refrigerator wasnt good so we had a hard time keeping it closed. Other than that it was a fantastic experience. The boys lived skipping rocks in the pond in the yard and fishing in the other pond. It was beautiful. We will definitely be back.
The cabin was not as advertised. It was sitting almost on a 259 which is a busy Highway. Could not get a peaceful nights rest. Rented the cabin for 2 nights and only stayed one
In general the stay was great. The cabin has the basic needs for a quick weekend stay. The grill was broken so we couldn’t grill out like we planned to. This cabin in particular did not have a fir pit with chairs like in the pictures, it had what you would call a small pile of remnants of where maybe the previous stay tried to create one. You would need to go to the next cabins Pitt and chairs area if that’s something you wanted to do, but that could be a little awkward since it’s technically for their cabin not yours so we just gave up on that idea. Internet/wifi not great but that wasn’t an issue for us.

Clean place, but needs some upgrades and better ventilation.
As soon as we opened the door there was a musty smell hitting our noses like in older houses. WiFi password indicated on the check in instructions turned out to be inaccurate, it took us a phone call to the maintenance and ask them to come and help out. There is no cell phone service in the area, not a problem if you have Internet. Bathroom needs some repairs since the toilet seat is wobbly and shower head is shooting very high water pressure. Bathtub was having some drainage issues. Kitchen is fully stocked. The sofa has a broken frame. Overall, I guess it's not a bad place to stay but it definitely needs upgrades.

Terrible bed
First thing was the musty smell, then the dirtiness (panty liner from bathing suit stuck to wall in bathroom) hair all over the bathroom and bed. Panties behind the dresser. The couch was uncomfortable to sit on, we feared the kitchen table and chairs would break but worst of all the bed-it was like lying on a board. I wouldn’t recommend this cabin unless it was cleaned thoroughly and the furniture was replaced.

Updates and cleanup is needed
The property is perfectly located next to trails and close the to town. There is so much potential here and a few tweaks could make people want to come back. Half the light bulbs were out, the eye of stove was so dirty the fire alarm would go off when cooking, the futon cover needs to be replaced, futon needs to be fixed, throw pillows were flat/stained/rough, fire place needs a deep clean (smells awful), kitchen table has seen better days, property could have leaves blown around cabin to make it easier to navigate without falling over rocks or hidden roots, the night stands were replaced with chairs, the porch needs repairs, the chairs and picnic table need to be fixed…. I could go on but if the property manager would just invest- it could be great. We will be staying somewhere else next time.
It was a nice little getaway for the weekend with my husband. It definitely has the old cabin feel to it which is what we wanted. Wasn’t sure why there was a cleaning fee when you have to do most of the cleaning before you leave. The Wi-Fi was kinda spotty but that was to be expected with all the trees. I did like that the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and utensils. It came in handy after buying a bottle of wine and needed a cork opener. Overall it was a nice place to stay.
The cabin has rats, and rat fecus on bunk beds, under bunk beds, you can hear them at night making noises. I would not recommend this cabin and I will not vacation their again. Maintenance did come out and put rat bait out, but I don't think I will be sharing a cabin with rats again.
This was our first visit to Broken Bow. The stay at the cabin was wonderful. The drive there was very easy and to get too. The things there to do in the area would take more time than we had on our quick trip. The scenery was beautiful. We took the hike on the Broken Bow State Park trails and was just wonderful. We plan to make another trip with more time to do some of the other activities.
