Good location, great view. House in need of some repairs, a new mattress and good quality sheets would make the bed much more comfortable. From the description I was expecting more of a farm stay with chickens and goats.
Lovely location & garden area.General inside presentation was clean & welcoming. Good heating. Some furnishings shabby & tired.Inside windows frames were dirty. External- lovely for sunsets however, lots of cobwebs & dust.Bed was very comfortable, however, it had a stain on the underlay.Overall, a lovely stay with quirky, nice features.

Pros- host was so lovely. Thank you Priscilla! Good location. Our boys had so much fun collecting the eggs & checking out the chooks & goats.Cons - we felt let down by the cleanliness & conditions of the cottage: handrail in bathroom broken, taps not working properly, dusts, spiders & cobwebs behind sofa and queen bed.
Loved our stay! Lovely cottage with views all round. We loved waking every morning to feed the pets (optional) Close to everything. Will definitely stay again when back down that way :)
A lovely cottage near Toora with a magnificent vista of the Prom. Great location for exploring all the lovely towns in the area. The property is very well maintained and has chickens and very cute goats. Thank you, Priscilla, for a lovely weekend!
Nina's cottage was breathtaking, the kids loved feeding the goats and it was exciting to see how many eggs the chickens surprised us with each day. The fruit trees were so beautiful and the cottage was spacious and cozy. Would love to stay here again.
Overall we all enjoyed our stay. Me ans my husband got to relax after each trip at the balcony watching clear sky and sea while kids are playing at the living room or at the terrace petting goats:)
We had a really nice stay at this place, it’s spacious and had a comfy couch + bed and good heating to keep us cosy after days out exploring the surrounds. The hosts were also very responsive, when we needed a lightbulb changed they fixed it straight away.

Awful experience … it seems this place was left and forgot five years ago to be eaten by the tooth of time. Years worth of cobwebs, spiders, ants … which is a shame as you can see someone really loved it and took care of fit ew years back. Touch of TLC would transform this place to lovely but alas now it is in a horrible state serving as a money grab. Take your reading glasses off if you can tolerate. My sincere advice is spend your money elsewhere.
Nina's cottage is a lovely place to stay. Very cosy and clean. Close to the Southern Rail Trail and the town of Toora and a handy central place to stay to jump to different places for day trips. The chickens are friendly (yummy eggs) and the frogs are fun to watch at night, chasing bugs on the outside of the windows.
Is just outside Toora, so will need to drive everywhere.
Was able to cook breakfast, and fresh eggs from the chickens!
Goats weren’t too noisy.

Host comms were great, and we appreciated being able to check in early - thanks again. There was plenty to like about the accom - including views and the location. But - we had issues with ants the whole time we were there - hundreds of them. Each of the rooms had cobwebs, dust, dead bugs and something we felt we had to clean up before we used the room. The entry/foyer was particularly laden with a lot of cobwebs all over the doorframes and door. I feel it also wasn’t entirely clear on the property listing that there’s only one bedroom - we’d expected a second bedroom because it states in the listing ‘bedroom 1 - queen’ then ‘bedroom 2 - futon’. But instead had the use of a fold out couch in the main living area which made it difficult to use that space of an evening. A few thoughtful additions in the kitchen like some nice teas, normal table salt, maybe a loaf of local bread or a tub of butter would have made it feel a bit more homely and welcoming. It was a lovely few days away though, Priscilla, and we loved being so close to quite a few sights and attractions. Thanks for having us.
The Perfect Location to Visit Wilson's Prom and Surrounds
This is a cute little cottage with scenic views and rural charm. From there we were able to visit many beautiful locations in the three days we stayed. The cottage is comfortable, and we got fresh eggs from the hens on the property every day! The only downside was the six goats, which are stabled directly under the bedroom, made constant noise at night, keeping my partner awake on two of the three nights. That aside, we enjoyed our stay!

Not really a 2 bed and quite dated
Property is advertised as a 2 bed, but the second bed is a pullout couch. The property is in a beautiful farm, which is great but we had the goats right underneath our bedroom which kept us up. The property is also not the cleanest.

About the host
Hosted by Priscilla
My husband and I love South Gippsland and used to have a small property we successfully airbnb's out in Port Welshpool. We decided we wanted to buy something extra special on acreage and share with more guests. So we bought Miranda a magnificent 100 year old homestead on an orchard which also is home to Nina's cottage.
Why they chose this property
The property really has the best of everything. It is close to Wilson's prom, the long jetty, Tarra Bulga National Park, Scenic cruises, beaches, Agnes Falls, local pubs. The orchard has every type of apple tree you can think of and even supports the local cidery. In addition to apple trees you will find apricot, nectarine, plum, grapefruit, mandarin, figs and more. Guests are welcome to help themselves to any available fruit. The views over The Corner Inlet are able to be enjoyed from both the homestead and cottage.
The cottage is quaint and relaxing, with a coonarra fireplace for the colder nights and split system air for the summer months. The homestead has period features such as pressed metal ceilings and fret work and a beautiful pool room complete with chandeliers. Both properties get to enjoy the Australian native Flora and Fauna. We absolutely love the property and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
