Woodpark Cottage is a spacious family friendly, 7 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 4100 sq ft, four season home. Situated on a private treed lot in beautiful Southcott Pines, 1.5km from the main strip in Grand Bend and just 700 meters from private Sun Beach, and those perfect Lake Huron sunsets.

Backing on to the Old Ausable River Channel, fishing and kayaking access right in the backyard, or hop on the Ausable River Nature Trail and walk into Grand Bend in 15 min. Lower level walk out to large, private flagstone patio with fire pit.

**Note that price per night included 4% municipal accommodation tax, as VRBO does not have a place to add in pricing**

Maximum 10 adults, 14 people total. Adults are 12+ as per the Lambton Shores short term rental by law

We had a wonderful long weekend with family.Very walkable with trails, beach, and Grand Bend.Close to wineries, brewery, and Sunday farmers market.Cottage accommodated the 10 of us easily. The badminton table was well used, and we enjoyed a badminton tournament.We hope to be back.

We had a great time at Woodpark Cottage and the weather all week was simply fantastic. Check-in was super easy, as were communications with Stephanie. There was enough room for all 12 members of our extended family to gather, and also have quiet space to retreat to when wanted. The kitchen was spacious and made it super easy to make meals. The second fridge in the laundry room was quite handy for storing drinks and desserts. The connected natural gas barbeque was great, as we never had to worry about running out of gas or switching tanks. The bathrooms were well-stocked with plenty of towels and toilet paper. We took full advantage of every ammenity: firepit for roasting marshmallows and making smores (thanks for the welcome smores kit and wine!), screened-in porches for reading and having morning coffee, all the games! Southcott Pines is a very walkable neighbourhood - Sun Beach (private to the Southcott neighbourhood) was a short walk away and was much less crowded than the public beach in Grand Bend. Great place to watch the sunset. Being able to walk to Grand Bend's Main Street area, for restaurants and shopping, was a terrific bonus, as we could avoid having to deal with the traffic into the very busy area. The Pinery Provincial Park is also a short 8km drive away and a great place to visit, with a dog-friendly beach section. Overall, we had an awesome stay. Thank you, Stephanie and Lori, for your hospitality.

Great family get away

Great home to reunite with family. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful walk to the beach. Great fire pit. Plenty of room for a large family.

We had a multi generation getaway. The space was perfect for it! Comfortable beds, roomy common areas. We had time and the space to be together or find quiet moments alone. We would definitely recommend this place! We may come back ourselves!

Perfect House

This house had everything needed for a large family to stay and be comfortable. Living room is very spacious and plenty of comfortable seating. The fireplace was a perfect touch to the room as we sat around and played games and enjoyed time together. The kitchen had everything we needed just as if we were in our own home. Kid friendly with toys, Pac-Man game and pingpong. I’d highly recommend this house. We will be back for another stay.

Hot tub confusion

There was some confusion about a hot tub. The listing include hot tub as an amenity but there were no photos or instructions in the welcome package so we weren’t sure if there was one or not. Turned out there wasn’t one.

Thanksgiving getaway

This Vrbo was impeccable. All the rooms were beyond our expectations by the needs of a range of ages that were brought there from a three year old to the adults. I would definitely book this VRBO again thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay.

Perfect 65th Birthday Celebration Getaway

From booking to check in everything was perfect. The cottage was just as advertised on the site. The cottage was spotless and the nice touch of wine and smores welcome was much appreciated. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfy. There wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't supplied. Every question was answered immediately by Stephanie. Can't say enough how perfect this home was for us. If you have a large family or group it's the perfect spot for you.

Great getaway

Property is just as described, no surprises. We had 14 people between 4 and 68 and it suited us all. I would say the only thing we wished there was, was a place for the kids to play outside. The property is large but no grassy yard to kick a ball etc. We all had a great time

Family Get Away

A lovely cottage and perfect for our family reunion. There was lots of space between all the bedrooms, a very nice deck and outside space. We BBQ several meals and nice that it was hooked up to the house so never ran out of propane / gas. The cottage is a quick walk to beach and a longer but nice walk along the river to Grand Bend. Excellent hosts, quiet neighbours, no issues and very clean. Would recommend highly. Thank-you!

Very nice for family gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this home. It was very clean and comfortable in a wonderful peaceful area. there was a children playground very near by which we enjoyed with our grandchildren. We recommend.

One of best places we have stayed at between Christmas and New Years.

This place was as advertised. It was spacious and comfortable. We had a great time with the ping pong table. We used the fire pit and barbeque without issue, even during the inclement weather. The guide for leaving was detailed and easy to follow. There was also instructions on how to get to the beach and great places to eat. We would stay again.

Ladies weekend getaway

We had a great time at this Grandbend cottage with lots of room for all 7 of us. We enjoyed canoeing, hiking and shopping, along with just staying in and relaxing in front of a beautiful fireplace. The bedding was soft and super clean. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. Overall a beautiful home and we would definitely consider returning.

Ideal Home in Ideal Location

We reunited with our family for a week and the home and location exceeded our expectations. The hosts were responsive to questions as we prepared for our stay. The home is clean, spacious with room to spread out on rainy days. The children enjoyed the games provided at the house and many hours were spent on the beach a short walk away. We enjoyed being in the Grand Bend area again and revisiting nearby Stratford and Bayfield as well. Thank you Stephanie and Lori. We made precious family memories at your slice of paradise.

This One Is A Gem!

Our work travel group just spent a few nights here and every aspect of this house and the process of renting exceeded our expectations. The view from living room window looks like a post card, the privacy from trees makes it seem like you’re in a remote location, beautifully decorated, stocked with any supply you many need and then some. The white lights above fire pit at night are stunning. Location is perfect, short walk to beach grocery store and main strip. Huge kitchen accommodated our pasta dinner and big breakfasts with room to spare. Easy self check in, maps of area, wifi code. They have thought of everything. Stephanie thank you for having us, for trusting us with the house and for the thoughtful gift you left on table. Also for always replying to my questions instantly! Great memories made. We will be back.

Perfect weekend

Beautiful spacious cottage! We had a big group including kids and there was plenty of room. Kids loved the river in the backyard, saw turtles, fish and a beaver. Loved the big fire pit and a beautiful neighbourhood to walk around and close to the beach. The cottage was also super clean with everything you could need. We hope to come back :)

Christmas Getaway

We had the best time. Despite the snow storm on our travels and the power outage, this was a Christmas to remember. Stephanie and Lori were super accommodating with everything and always quick to respond. Thank you both for making this Christmas so very special for us. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!

Lovely getaway place!

We had a great experience at Woodpark! Beautiful spacious house for our group with rooms to spare! Lovely community, a few minutes walk to beach. The place was clean with everything we needed and many extras provided! Would definitely love to stay again!

Amazing place

We wanted for nothing, I cannot say enough about the property or location. There were supposed to be 12 of us and that may have ended up being a bit cramped but ended up with 9 ladies and it was just glorious, the house the location the amenities everything top notch. The detail put into the inside of the house was adorable small little touches everywhere, we stay somewhere different every year it sure will be hard to top this year's stay! And the added touch of the welcome note with two bottles of wine and smores fixings was so kind first time we've been treated so well, I'd recommend this place to anyone and already have actually.

We are walking distance to a beautiful private beach and also the fun of the main strip of Grand Bend. We also back onto the Old Ausable River Channel. Bring your kayaks or canoes and fishing rods! End your day on the large backyard flagstone patio with fire pit.
