Le ferry, un irritant

Nous avons Ă©tĂ© Ă  sandbanks et il fallait prendre le ferry. C’était souvent trĂšs long l’attente pour embarquer. On doit compter au moins 45 minutes de plus Ă  notre temps rĂ©el. Sinon, l’accĂšs Ă  l’eau de la propriĂ©tĂ© est plutĂŽt loin de la maison. Si vous avez un paddle board, on peut en mettre un Ă  l’eau quand mĂȘme facilement. Mais il faut le transporter jusque lĂ . J’aurais mis l’accĂšs plus proche. Ça aurait Ă©tĂ© le fun d’avoir un kayak Ă  notre disposition. Pour le reste, chalet de trĂšs bon goĂ»t et bien Ă©quipĂ© pour faire nos repas et jouer Ă  des jeux. Parfait pour une petite famille comme nous. Le rĂ©seau pour la tĂ©lĂ©vision boguait souvent par contre. Écouter un film peut ĂȘtre long. Somme toute, de belles vacances.

Beau chalet confortable

On a beaucoup apprécié notre séjour, location tranquille et à une trentaine de minutes de Picton, ville trÚs charmante & 45 minutes de Sandbanks. Chalet au design modern et invitant. Bonne communication avec le propriétaire.

The property was exactly as listed, loved the hot tub and the area. Bed was extremely comfortable and host provided all the housewares/kitchen ware needed and more. Very thoughtful hosts and we loved the property.

The cottage was perfectly set up for an in-cottage get-away for the two of us our small dog with its -- modernized kitchen and amenities, shower bath, wifi, comfy cozy seating, dining table, lots of light, VERY comfortable beds, and quiet, woodsy gravel road for walks. We were disappointed that there was no local (much less walk-to) access to the water. We bought food/drink supplies in Napanee to eat/drink in the cabin, as there's appeared to be only one restaurant in Napanee for 'foodies' (and it was closed our week). So, for an onsite getaway, the place served us well, and we had plenty of reasons to smile. Deirdre efforts to make the place so comfortable and aesthetically pleasing were also well appreciated.

This place was exactly what I needed. I was looking for a little getaway from reno’s being done at my house. I will definitely be back when I need another relaxing break from life. It was quiet, cozy, clean and comfortable. There was lake access just a few mins walk down the road and my dogs loved it. It was great that dishes, cutlery, cookware, etc were provided. I love that it was dog friendly, so they could keep me company and get a break too.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely and quiet cottage. Everything was as described. Check in was easy. In the kitchen everything we would have needed was provided through the host. It absolutely exceeded our expectations and we will definitely recommend it.

Check in was quick and easy. The cottage was bright clean. Only issue was bbq was our of propane but hosts were quick to respond and replace the tank. Wifi and tvs worked great. Swimming access was a short walk away. It is a rustic access as described by host and others; thankful we brought watershoes to wear. Kitchen was stocked with tons of utensils and cutlery.

Lovely cottage with tasteful amenities but


The property was very clean, a lot of thoughtful, tasteful amenities, beds were comfortable and the host was very responsive but found the description and photos slightly misleading. Says “on a lake”, “lake view” and many pictures show the lake however there is no direct access which I think should be more clearly stated. Sulfur smell from the septic system can also be quite strong at times.

A wonderful little getaway

Great little spot

We had a great stay at this country cottage. Keep in mind you will need to take the ferry daily if you'd like to explore PEC. The cottage is in a lovely rural neighbourhood and has everything you need. Thanks for a great stay :)

Great spot

Nicely redone interior. Location was great, off the beaten path, very quite and zero traffic. All was exactly as described. Very much enjoyed the hot tub. Even though we didn't have our dog with us, it's one of few rentals that are pet friendly and include a hottub.

Very pleasant stay

A short stay of 2 nights but a very pleasant stay. Went to see and visit Thousands Islands which was very easy from here. Would certainly recommend this place! All the described cottage facilities were present and the place was very clean.

Just great!

For the journey with my family (3 teenagers) from Montreal to Toronto, I was looking for a rural, intermediate Stop and was more than lucky to come across this little house. We loved it at first sight. Very well and nicely equipped and decorated, located beautifully with sea view in a very calm area. We loved everything about it. 2 nights were way to short, even my teenage kids didn’t want to leave. If we ever come back to eastern Canada, we will definitely choose this gem again. As mentioned before, bring your own water for cooking and teeth cleaning and do your shopping before, because it is a 30 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket. Checking in was very easy with a key pad, so we didn’t meet the owners. According to the neighbours, they are great people:)
