Situated right across from Glenelg Beach, guests can enjoy pristine sands and clear waters perfect for swimming or leisurely strolls. Bayside Glenelg draws families to its long, sandy beach and the Beach house amusement center, with waterslides, rides and arcade games. The Bay Discovery Centre in the 1870s Town Hall has local history exhibits including a vintage swimwear collection, and dolphin-spotting cruises cast off from nearby Holdfast Marina. Laid-back pubs, organic cafes, global eateries and indie boutiques give the area a trendy vibe.

Seafield Tower History Circa 1876:

By the mid-1880s, the sand dunes of Glenelg's esplanade had long given way to the summer residences of the prominent and wealthy of South Australia. Previously known as Albert Parade, and then Seawall, South Esplanade was once a promenade of magnificent Victorian mansions and summer gardens. With time, these mansions slowly began to occupy land beyond the dunes morphing Glenelg's streets into a suburb of character and charm.

State Heritage-listed Seafield Tower was the first of its kind built along the esplanade. It was designed as two self-contained, 15 room summer residences for Sir Henry Ayers and Sir Thomas Elder, when both were in their late fifties. Ayers made his fortune from the Burra Copper Mines that secured the wealth and future of the colony of South Australia. Uluru - Ayers Rock in the Northern Territory is named in his honor. Elder was a pastoralist, businessman, philanthropist and politician. Ayers inhabited the northern side and Elder the southern.

Kindly be advised that due to the historical nature of the building, none of the units are wheelchair accessible. Four units require stair access to enter, while the remaining two feature angled entryways with limited turning space, making wheelchair manoeuvrability challenging. There are no ramps or modified access provisions in place.

Excellent location

Second time we have stayed at this apartment as it’s location is perfect. Unfortunately the only down fall was cleanliness of beds.

Easy to find good parking self check in easy. A older style apartment but very spacious comfortable, cooking facilities good . The views and location absolute killer loved it . Short stroll to eateries and beach we’ll be back .

Great location in Glenelg - super close to everything

A group stayed here whilst in town to watch the cricket and bikes 🚲- unreal views from the balcony watching the sunset.

Fantastic location of view to the sea.

The property was excellently located just a few steps from Jetty Road.The balcony views to the sea and the sunsets were brilliant.

Great apartment

This was a great home away from home. Know they do not have an elevator nor WiFi. Not sure about Air Conditioning as we did not need it. There were fans though the couple evenings it felt stuffy. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean. Everything worked. It was a pleasant place to be.

Great Location with all the basics

Perfect location and great views from balcony and lounge area. Unit 4 is definitely the pick of apartments as the others didn't have the same outlook. It has everything you need and with a few extras (dish drying rack, shelf in kitchen... food was stored on the fridge, no ther space, hairdryer) could be more user friendly. It had been cleaned but there was mould in the bathroom sink and shower which could easily have been cleaned up. Some newer sheets and towels would be awesome too.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is beautifully situation along the beach front with amazing views. Unfortunately the cleaning of the property wasn't the best. Mouldy shower and very dusty. I supported my review with photos to unwind. Unwind then charged me a excessive cleaning fee and was charged for linen that wasn't used. I'm very disappointed in my experience with unwind holidays and am still waiting for my refundable deposit weeks later with many follow up emails to unwind

Glenelg Getaway

Seafield Tower No 4 is in a terrific location - wonderful view of the ocean, across a path from the beach and within walking distance to the many cafes, restaurants and shops of Jetty Road and The Marina. It had a balcony and large windows from where we could enjoy the view, was spacious inside, was comfortable and was easy to keep tidy. A couple of faults - the carpet was a bit tired and could do with a steam clean to remove some stains and there was mould on the shower ceiling but… the pros out do the cons and we loved our stay in Glenelg so would definitely stay at Seafield Tower again!

Unfortunately our sheets weren’t clean. Pulled out the sofa bed and it was also dirty. Front door also wouldn’t lock so my husband had to fix it before we left on our first outing. Otherwise lovely.

Doves and broken bathroom parts

The property was very lovely, only two small negatives was there was dove poo on the floors from the doves living in the ceiling which were very loud in the morning. Also broken towel rack and toilet roll holder. For the amount the room cost per night, you dont expect to have things broken
