Wonderful views

Perfect property to sit back and enjoy the views. The lake is gorgeous. The home is well appointed and clean. We had a nice time watching the sun rise and disconnecting from the electronic devices.

CUTE LITTLE PROPERTY

THE HOUSE WAS KIND OF HARD TO GET TO, YOU HAVE TO WALK AROUND THE OWNERS DECK. BUT ONCE YOU DID, IT WAS A DELIGHT. THE HOUSE IS VERY CLEAN. VERY WELL MAINTAINED. VERY CLOSE TO THE WATER. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY, VERY QUIET AND SEREENE

Property is exactly as listed

Cute guest house behind the main property. The place was clean and the owner was very friendly. There is a pier, but you have to access it through the fence on site. The homes are close to each other with neighbors deck right next to the guest home. Not a problem as there is a blind to cover the window looking out onto the staircase to their deck. The family was very quiet as is the neighborhood. Property is located near a large lake. It was beautiful and a wonderful place to watch the sun come up. If you happen to be there when the Canton market is occurring, it is sooooo worth a drive over to go and see the worlds larges market. Property is a nice place for two adults. Remember, you do not have access to internet. You need to know how to use your cell phone as a wifi hotspot, otherwise there is no tv. Not a problem.

Mildew in rental air conditioner

I didn't stay at this property because when I walked into the cottage the main room air conditioner smelled of mildew and I have asthma. And even with that wall unit air conditioner and a portable air conditioner unit in the bedroom window the cooling was inadequate. The space was mildewed. There also was no privacy with one floor to ceiling window in the kitchen area without a window covering next to some outside stairs. There were large fire pits in opposite yards next door on both sides. If I breath smoke I would be in the hospital. Air conditioners pull in outside air. This was a disaster that I wanted to avoid. The owner would not refund me so he got to keep the $1330.

Anniversary trip

They property was nice and clean. My husband agreed to take this trip, because of the lake view, including it’s our anniversary. My husband loves his weekend sports. When we found that the cabin had no connection nor wifi. He wanted to turn around. They do have old movies to look at, but that keep stopping.. This is the first time ever this has happen that we didn’t have anything to watch.. The Cowboys had a blowout🥺. He was so upset. We had a nice guy watching the place, and he would sit outside on the deck, so we never did sit out upon the deck. Otherwise it was clean. I usually clean and put away, but seems to me they wanted us to clean it back except make the beds, I paid for cleaning, of course remove bedding, because I bring my own, put dishes up, vacuum or I will be charged a few.. this place if for peps who love fishing I guess, I know it’s not for us. This is a review of an unhappy husband.

Good overall, poor AC

Overall my wife and I were able to have a relaxing getaway weekend here. There’s no central AC, only a portable unit. Even though it was running when we got there, it was uncomfortably hot. Robin was quick to help us and brought an extra fan that made a big difference! The rest of the weekend was very relaxing in a cozy little cottage, we just had to have several fans and a loud ac unit on 24/7.

Beautiful spot

This is a lovely little cottage right on the lake. We spent hours watching the herons and other wildlife. Very peaceful and beautiful. Everything we needed was at the cottage, very well appointed and very clean and comfortable. We would definitely return.

Not worth the price or strange experience

We’ve used VRBO for years and this by far was our strangest experience. This place is ok ish but, NOT worth what we paid by any stretch of the imagination. The “toiletries” included were a 1/2 used hotel size lotion and 3/4 empty bottle of body wash. There were dirty towels in the hamper that sits in the bathroom. The window unit is not enough to provide anything to the bedroom. The enormous plants hanging in the living block the best view and doors. Living TV sits on the floor? Most of the carpentry, ect looks like it was done by someone not experienced therefor the shower was a mess with a dirty feel and look! There is absolutely no access to a swimming area, fishing or ANYTHING like that. There is a PRIVATE gate/ launch area next door that one time the owner said she was a part of another time she said she wasn’t. There is NO parking on road unless you park down the street in front of someone else’s home. The black plastic wrapped carport is super off putting and when you arrive you have NO indication of where to go or how? The fire pit, deck and grill have absolutely nothing to do with the cottage they are literally her porch and right at all her windows and doors. Using them in anyway would be very uncomfortable. No hand towels at all in the bathroom. The bed is as hard as a rock. Really, like sleeping on a box. A very good topper would help. To sit outside and view the lake was nice and she had such lovely, helpful nieghbors that made the trip ok. Communication with the owner was sketchy. Her stories and excuses change. The gate and area that you have to get through to find the cottage needs to be cleaned and spruced up. I think this place has some potential but, it’s not there yet. It’s not worth the price and definitely isn’t what’s advertised. ALSO, why advertise a smart Tv, when you have no cable or wifi?
