Sweet private studio just minutes from the downtown core.

Our cozy little studio suite is separate from the main house- you'll have your own space and your own entrance and personal private patio in the garden to enjoy. Our yard is lined with privacy shrubs and we have two huge trees, a Japanese Maple and a Black Walnut that are over 100 years old, and on even the hottest days the shade they provide keep our yard much fresher and cooler than anywhere else. There is also a hammock in the shade for your enjoyment, as well as a trampoline :)

The studio has lofted ceilings which adds to the bright and airy feel of the space. We are an easy, flat 15 min walk from all the bars and restaurants and there is a shopping centre 2 min away with a Safeway, Starbucks, and Liquor Store. Beyond that are paths that will take you right down to the water. This location in the heart of the city cannot be beat! You are welcome to borrow our bicycles to get around if you'd like. We also have a couple of cheap plastic kayaks that you're welcome to bring down to the water. Lakeside park is just down the street!

I am a Vancouver expat who has lived here since 2004, although I spent my summers here as a child so I feel comfortable saying I am a local. I work as an ER nurse and manage first aid for many local festivals, so I have my finger on the pulse of what's fun to do around here, especially during the summer! My partner is a local carpenter and we live on the other side of the house so we are here and available for anything you need. We live here with my teenaged daughter and our 2 dogs and 2 cats- we are animal lovers and welcome guests with well-behaved fur babies. ❤️

You're welcome to smoke on the patio outside, but not inside. We are 420 friendly, as long as it is outside as well.

We have only just put our place on this website, but we have been up and running on A*rbnb for a few years and our place gets rave reviews. We truly want our guests to feel at home, and we will do whatever we can to make sure you enjoy every minute of your stay!

I stayed here for I think four nights and I was very comfortable and very happy to be in the neighbourhood that I was in. An old chatacter neighbourhood, within walking distance to the lake, downtown, grocery stored and within driving distance to a lot of nearby attractions that I wanted to visit. I enjoyed the whimsical, artistic folksy feel of the unit. It was clean had everything that I needed to be comfortable to cook some light meals and beautiful outside private sitting area under a natural canopy of ancient trees. The host was very helpful, answered all my questions, suggestions of places to see and yeah I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Only one thing I was not comfortable on the mattress. I prefer a firmer mattress. But that would not stop my from staying there again.

This is such a cute place to stay! The patio out back is charming, too. Minutes from the lake and downtown - the location is perfect. Anna is lovely to communicate with. When I’m back out this way I will definitely stay here again.

Will definitely stay here again. The place was better than the pictures. The place was clean, the bed was comfortable, the area was quiet. In the kitchen we were very pleased to see the stove with oven. Shopping and places to eat were within walking distance. We loved relaxing on the patio and all the trees kept the place cool during hot days. Anna is so friendly, available to answer our questions and a wonderful host.

Anna's suite was cozy, comfortable, quiet, and perfect for our short Nelson vacation. Most of all, communication with the host was excellent, she was responsive and had just the right amount of touch'points to ensure we were well-taken care of.We'd book this again! 30 minute walk to the heart of Baker St was also really nice.

Anna is a fantastic host. 10/10 I will stay here again when passing through. Quiet, comfortable space. Would be a great little getaway for a couple. I'm in the middle of a 7 week motorcycle trip and the night I spent here felt like a little piece of home. Anna communicated quickly and is extremely friendly. It's easy to walk from her to all the local cultural spots - park, restaurants, etc. If you are wondering whether or not to select this place, stop wondering and just book it.

Cozy place in a great location

Comfortable studio with everything we needed, and we loved being able to walk to restaurants and stores in the downtown area. Owner is very nice and responsive, but unobtrusive. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Great little hideaway!

Anna was an excellent host! After having some date challenges with VRBO as life intercepted our getaway, Anna made sure we were taken care of. A nice quiet space with an attached outdoor patio area. Great parking. Good coffee! Our only challenge was there is no real shower, just a large tub with a spray wand. Otherwise, it was great and we’d stay again.

Amazing Stay!

This was a fantastic place to stay for our short trip to Nelson. We were able to have our dog with us and it was a short walk to downtown making a perfect location 👌 Host was very kind and great communication when needed.

A lovely little getaway

This was a quaint little hideway close to many ameneties. Perfect for an individual or couple. Lovely gardens and outdoor sitting areas. Highly recommend!
