Kitchen newly remodeled with new countertops, sink, backsplash, and a dishwasher!

Your perfect vacation starts here at The Cottage on Hackert Lake. This updated and cozy getaway sits on the beautiful
Hackert Lake and includes a private access point with it's own private dock(dock will be removed right after Labor Day Weekend). This is an all sports lake and has a public boat launch nearby. Enjoy time outdoors grilling, sitting at the fire or watching sunsets from the deck overlooking the lake! Three Kayaks also are included for your enjoyment.

This is a turnkey rental. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. The cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen, laundry on site and three bedrooms with a queen in the master, full in the second and bunk beds in the third. For your comfort, we also provide central air and WiFi with streaming. Linens and towels provided!

The cottage on Hackert Lake is conveniently located just 12 minutes from Stearns Public Beach and Downtown Ludington, 18 Minutes from the beautiful Ludington State Park and 7 minutes to Meijer grocery store.

5 day getaway in our favorite state!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay in this super clean and comfortable cottage! The lake was warm and clear, and we had fun kayaking and sitting around the fire we made in the pit. The kitchen is well stocked, the sheets were soft, lots of pillows to choose from, plenty of towels in the bathroom. This is a great location for heading to the Ludington State Park and also some adventures north like Arcadia Bluffs, Pointe Betsie Lighthouse and Sleeping Bear Dune. The cabin surroundings are beautiful and quiet. Our favorite spot inside was the comfy couch facing the lake where you can look through the large windows while having your morning coffee/tea. It was super easy to check in and out and the management company was very helpful in answering our questions and getting us booked for our stay. We highly recommend this property! Thank you!

Great lakeside cabin

We loved the cabin. Would buy this place in a heartbeat. Beautiful view and just a really cute place. Main bedroom mattress was really hard but the mattresses in the other rooms were great. Cleaning crew left many cobwebs and dead insects but otherwise it was wiped down well prior to our arrival. Very well stocked. They had everything you could need and more. Wish the water pressure was a bit better but it wasn’t a big deal. We really did enjoy it!

Tranquility on the lake

What a beautiful, peaceful, and quiet lake. From sunrise and sunset kayak trips, to sitting on the deck watching the beautiful big dipper above our heads...this lake was amazing. The cottage was great and had everything we needed. Our grandchildren were camping and were able to visit one afternoon, and enjoyed fishing right off the dock and swimming. We will definitely be back!

Perfect for a family!

This was a great place for us to stay with our three kids! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for the family. The water is very shallow which was nice for the kids to swim in. We enjoyed a fire in the firepit and roasted marshmallows. The tub wasn't particularly clean when we arrived, but everything else was very clean. We also had some issues with the water pressure, but some days seemed to be better than others. Those are really my only (very small) complaints. We would definitely stay here again!

We want to go back!

This property was great in so many ways - clean, amazing lake view, beautiful inside and out, furniture was comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked (just bring your own blender and spices), a big table for game nights, and ample parking. The location was close to a grocery store and a quick drive to Ludington and Pentwater. Loved it!

Cozy cabin on the water

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin! It had everything we needed for our group of 6, and the access to the lake was great. The kids loved swimming, kayaking and fishing. The only thing that keeps the review from being 5 stars is the lack of water pressure in the shower. Other than that it was a great stay!

Perfect Getaway

This cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Close to Ludington to enjoy all the town has to offer, yet still feels “away” enough to enjoy a peaceful retreat. The cabin had everything we needed.

Hidden Gem

This was our second time staying at this house and we have enjoyed our stay both times. Having the dishwasher added to the kitchen was a huge bonus this time for this momma. We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay with all the comforts of home. Waking up to a view of the lake each morning was our favorite part.

Ludington launch pad

Great place, just as described. The lake is great water, not too deep, super clear and doesn’t have any idiotic boat traffic. Beds comfy and place was clean. Great little gem of a place.

Great little cabin on the lake!

Perfect cabin for a small family on quiet Hackert Lake. Nice sized shallow, sandy swim area for little ones. Dock was great to hold our small fishing boat. Best spot to fish was 30 yards off the dock. Fire pit area was great as well. Nicely kept grill and plenty of utensils for cooking in the kitchen. A short distance from Ludington State Park/ downtown Ludington/ city beach. Great all around stay and would highly recommend to others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a awesome stay, the cottage was beautiful, we were right on the lake. We were close to lighthouses, restaurants, and couple of nice winery's. The only thing that need to be improved upon, there isn't enough seating , we got rained in few times. They only had a couch, mabey get love seat, or couple comfy chairs. The check in time and check out time should be changed. 10am is to early, 11 is traditional check out time and 3pm is traditional check in time, when your paying for the full day's, you should get the majority of the hours
