About the Property

4 BR, 2 Full Baths, sleeps 9, outside shower

Beautiful furnished home in quiet area with two levels perfect for a family or small group. Spacious wrap around deck provides overlooking views of Davis Park, ocean and bay. Easy walk to beach/bay, boardwalks to beaches & Davis Park center with general store, restaurant ('The Casino'), medical, marina and worship chapel: Catholic Mass celebrated weekly on Sat. and Sun.

Main level (2nd Floor) has spacious combo Living/Dining room area -- large dining table & satellite TV, fireplace, sliding glass door access to deck, with propane gas grill, amply supplied kitchen -- with dishwasher, gas stove, refrigerator, ample counter space; Master Bathroom with 1 King sized bed and Full Bath.

Ground level; 3 Bedrooms - two with 2 single beds, one with 1 double bed ( total 5 beds), 1 Full Bathroom (toilet+shower), small private area with couche/day bed, washing machine and dryer.

There is an outside hot water shower.

Our house is located in a quiet area. It's perfect for relaxation, with the calming scent of ocean air and the gentle sound of surf in the distance. You can hear birds and other wildlife. There are no automobiles to disturb you.

The deck wraps 3 sides of house with --- over tree top views --- of bay and Long Island, and the Fire Island National Sea Shore. While you can't see the ocean crashing into the sand, you are rewarded with gorgeous sunsets.

Photographers will enjoy the sunsets off the deck especially on the bay side -- and natural surrounding area. The Fire Island National Seashore is wonderful for pictures of the undisturbed shore with all its natural beauty.

In addition to the surf, shore and amenities in Davis Park, the national seashore provides miles of boardwalks for nature walks, jogging, or gently strolling though the preserve. There is also a huge swimming area with a restaurant and snack bar, showers and a changing area, among other things. It's accessible via Dune Walk though about 1/2 mile of natural seashore. There are no fees to enter.

Beachcombers will love the extensive shoreline of both Davis Park and the national seashore. Joggers have miles of boardwalks upon which to travel.

Fire Island Sea Shore

Car: Not Necessary

Davis Park, Fire Island is an escape from the craze of the city. It is a destination for people who just want to be 'by the sea”. The calming sound of surf and reinvigorating fresh air surrounds you.

We are located at the east end of Davis Park. It’s an easy stroll on Whale Bone Walk to Dune Walk and beautiful beaches that extend for miles in both directions.

Immediately east of us is the Fire Island National Seashore -- with beach, nature trails, camping, bird watching and more. You can attend lectures and tours by the staff on aspects of the natural sea shore that is preserved in this new national park. There is a restaurant, rest rooms and other amenities. You get there by walking east on Dune Walk through natural seashore. There is no admission fee.

Making a left onto Whale Bone Walk, a short walk takes you to the bay. There you can walk in the shallow water, find edible clams, enjoy a sunset or just slosh around in the water great for kids.

This part of Davis Park is a place to 'crash', or socialize. There is more space between homes on this side of Davis Park, center, than on the other side. Davis Park center hosts a marina, grocery+ store, ice cream stand, an ecumenical church (Catholic mass is celebrated weekly), and medical facilities. There is the “Casino” -- the one and only restaurant, bar, and disco/dance place. It’s right on the beach too.

Whether or not you are a family or a responsible group, our location is ideal.

If you are interested in coming to Fire Island to reconnect with old friends, socialize with new ones, or just enjoy undisturbed peace and quiet -- you will love this location.
