We had a fantastic holiday at the Desolation Sound Resort—what a beautiful oceanfront property! Each chalet is unique and absolutely charming with every comfort provided. We loved every minute of our time spent at the resort. An added bonus was dining at gourmet restaurant Laughing Oyster, only a 10-minute walk away. Both the resort and restaurant offer stunning views of the lovely Okeover Inlet.

Beautiful, Peaceful and Windy!

Had a wonderful family getaway. Loved having 2 bedrooms with king beds. Only thing missed was some cozy blankets in the living room to snuggle up. Will bring some next time!

Perfect quiet getaway

Beautiful location for a quiet getaway. Could be a writers or artists haven. Large spacious and clean cabins with enough space in between to feel alone in the woods. Love the wood carvings around the site and the large fishing doc. Buy a fishing license to enjoy the abundance of oysters.

We absolutely loved Jen’s house - it is stunning.The views across the valley towards Chiusi, Lake Trasimeno & beyond are breathtaking. At daybreak, we watched the sunrise over the mountains in the distance as the morning mist rose from the fields below whilst, in the evening, sitting on the balcony as fireflies lit the garden was magical. The situation is completely private & so peaceful. There is plenty of shade available & the pool was much appreciated to cool off in and, again, afforded wonderful views.Inside, the house is characterful yet modern & very well equipped. All the rooms are very spacious and well furnished. There is an excellent coffee maker and plenty of equipment in the kitchen and a barbecue if you wish to cook at home. We stayed for nearly a fortnight, so really appreciated the two housekeeping visits with fresh linen and towels. Jens could not have been more helpful and both he and Lucia really helped to make our stay smooth and trouble free. We had not been to this immediate area before but really liked Sarteano. It is so friendly and we had some excellent meals here and enjoyed wandering the streets and practicing our Italian! Chiostro Cennini was superb - a beautiful setting. Bar I Diavoli was great for coffee & morning pastries. Lo Zio, the local supermarket, was delightful- great produce & so friendly. Further afield, there are also numerous fascinating places to visit.We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful home.
