The perfect find

We stayed here on our trip to the Big Island in mid June (2025). This place was perfect! Fully stocked kitchen, beach gear, & a nice welcome gift. The condo was clean, great furnishings, and well kept. We spent most of our evenings at the resort club eating dinner & watching the sunsets. Will be staying here again on our next trip.

Great Trip!

We have stayed at the Halii Kai many times. 17D is a nice building, close to the pool. Accommodations were great.

Great place to stay!

Wonderful condo, great location in the community near the pool/fitness center and ocean. Had everything we needed for the stay, beach gear, umbrella, chairs etc. Kitchen had everything we needed, plus a bbq on the lanai.

Great location

This property had everything we needed. Great location on the island, and a great location not too far from the ocean club and swimming pool. We will definitely consider this property on our next trip to the big island.

Great time with my daughters

The condo was amazing. The neighborhood was beautiful. The club has the best food I ate in Hawaii. My daughters both said it was the best vaka ever.

Our family of 5 had a great time here. We really appreciated the personal touch, a note and some goodies upon arrival. We were also pleasantly surprised at the view of the water from the patio.The condo’s close location to the pool was easy for my elderly mom to walk each day. And made quick visits to let the kids get some swim time in doable.We also always have a hard time finding two bedroom condos with three beds. Having two beds in the spare room that were large enough for four people was great!Lastly, my husband loved the walking path along the golf course, ocean and lava rocks to the Hilton next door. He woke up every day to get his walk in.

Great location, awesome views, clean unit but the owner put their profit ahead of our comfort which was unfortunate and which tarnished our 5-night stay. Their listing doesn't mention that they have restricted their AC to 72F daytime/74F nighttime. We thought it was reasonable to expect that we'd be able to adjust the temperature to our own personal comfort so we were disappointed when our request that the restriction be lifted was denied and no remedy was offered. It's also worth nothing that this rental does not include a local professional management company. The owners do provide you contact with their state-mandated on-island-representative, Tiffany, but she is not an employee of Evolve and admits that she is not able to provide services you might expect from a proper management company.

Loved every minute of it!!

We had a fantastic stay! This place was perfect for our family! (5 adults) The location is great. They had lots of equipment to go enjoy nearby beaches and snorkeling. The condo was clean and well stocked. The living room space was big and very comfortable. The patio area had a great view of the ocean. It was very close to the pool and restaurant which were both so wonderful. We watched whales from the pool area and saw the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets right there by the ocean. The pool/restaurant had live entertainment on the weekends and yummy drinks to enjoy. We really had a fantastic vacation and highly recommend staying at this condo.

We have stayed at another condo within Halii Kai property in the past, and found that we liked this listing more. The view from the lanai was awesome-we could see the ocean, the golf course, and people walking to and from the ocean club. This listing was well stocked, clean and nicely decorated. Loved the welcome note and gift, and was impressed with the closet full beach accessories that came in handy. We had a few meals at the ocean club that were quite tasty and loved watching the sunsets by the pool. All staff that we encountered were very nice, and the landscaping of the grounds are immaculate. Although the condo is well maintained, and we had no issues while staying there, the communication with property management was lacking. Overall, would highly recommend and would stay again.

Well stocked condo In beautiful location

We have stayed in the Halii Kai condos 3 times now & this was our favorite condo & location. This unit was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, great linens, well stocked kitchen, lots of towels & all the beach needs - chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, snorkeling gear, sand toys, noodles etc. It was great with the kids as they also had all the sporting equipment that you could use on property - basketball, tennis rackets, pickle ball rackets. The location of this unit is near the pool with a beautiful view from the lanai of the ocean & golf course. We love staying in this area due to the close proximity to beaches which makes for a wonderful relaxing vacation. We contacted the property manager once & they were quick to respond. We loved this condo & would highly recommend & will definitely be back!

Amazing Condo - Perfect Location

Our stay at this condo was perfect! The homeowner has gone above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed and right at home. The condo is beautifully appointed and has everything you need! Much thought has been put into this vacation rental!! The kitchen is well-stocked as are the bathrooms! There is an activity closet to meet all your needs - snorkels, pickleball, basketball, beach gear and toys, and a small library along with all sorts of island guides! The location is perfectly situated between the pool and tennis courts! There is a nice view of the golf course and a distant ocean view from the lanai! Everything is comfortable, including the beds, and well thought out. Our property manager, Tiffany, was very communicative and extremely responsive.

Very Nice Condo

My husband and I stayed here 10 days. We loved the Hall'i Kai complex, its location, the pool area and the on-site restaurant. The fish tacos at this eatery were just the best and the staff was terrific. The area is beautiful. The condo itself was clean and comfortable and well stocked. The master bed was comfy, though we didn't like the pillows. Just our personal preference however. There was a nice outdoor grill on the deck. The owner had a welcome bag of goodies for us upon arrival which was a sweet touch. The owner was very accommodating about certain requests we made which we also appreciated. The only negative was that we didn't find the communication with the property manager to be the best. At first, we were given the name of a contact rep that wasn't accurate. Then we didn't always get a timely response. But overall it was a positive experience and we would stay here again.

everything you could ask for

i wish i could give them 5 stars because the place was immaculate and perfect for our needs, but the air conditioning was broken when we got there. it took a full day to get it fixed and i had a person with a medical condition for which this was an issue. i had a little meltdown with the property manager, more out of worry for my friend. i have to give them credit for being patient and understanding with me! we had to assist the ac repairman the next day with access to the unit but after it was fixed there was no other snags. they had a stocked closet with beach toys and chairs that came in so handy. we were close to the beach house and ocean so sunsets were instaperfect. the queens shops and kings shops were a skip away... and the waimea general store was only 30 min away. great base for all the driving tours ands trips to the beach.. and only a half hour from the airport in kona.

Best Rental Ever!!

This unit was hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed before! We checked in and immediately felt like we were at home. Our host left a goody bag of local assortments. After a long day of flying to the island it was nice to relax in the comfy beds. The linens and towels were extremely clean and SO plushy!!! The unit has a/c which was kept at a comfortable 74 for this time of year. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed…plus some! I honestly wish I could rate this higher than just 5 stars because I honestly think it deserves more. It not only met but exceeded my expectations for our stay in Kona and hope to return again one day soon!
