Great location for ease of walking to downtown Lake George

Great location to be able to walk to the shops, restaurants, some activities. Outside table was great for family dinners and gatherings at night. Playroom gave the kids a place to play and hang out. Off street parking was a definite plus.

The location was amazing! We comfortably slept 10 people. Great beds and had everything we needed. The only reason I have it a 4 star was because of cleanliness specifically the bathrooms tubs and floors. There’s definitely drainage issues that need to be taken care of but other than that if they fixed the issues we’d stay again. Totally plus yo have the detached game room!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at the cherry family escape. It was perfect for our group of 8. The game room was fun to hang out in as well as the patio with the fireplace.

Great location, nice house.

The location is perfect for walking to all the restaurants/bars/shops/etc. Once we parked the cars upon arrival, we didn’t move them until it was time to leave. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location

We rented this for a family wedding in Lake George. It was the best location possible for all the planned events on top of the close proximity to Lake George's Town shops, parks, restaurants, etc. we loved the game room for something fun to do and hang out. Wonderful communication with the management as well.

Fabulous location

We loved that we were able to walk to everything! Game room was a big hit. Beds was comfortable and house was clean. Grill was clean and in working order. Great fire pit too! Only thing that we found lacking was a pitcher (to make lemonade). We would definitely rent this house again.

Very simple and clean. Worked well for a short extended family vacation. Fit 8 well.

Couldn’t get televisions to work in upstairs bedrooms- could of been user error! Fit 8 well. Game room is a great benefit. Short walk to everything.

Lake George House

Great location for walking into town Game room for kids is a plus. Able to get lots of heads in beds for larger groups. Four parking spaces on property is a plus. Ground floor bathroom could use a fan and better door lock. Kitchen is small for number of people able to stay at house. More living room and dining table seating would be better. Third shower in separate game room is awkward. Would prefer more privacy in backyard for dining/ fire pit gatherings

Wedding Weekend

We had a family wedding near Lake George so we decided to stay a few days and extend our trip. We enjoyed having queen bedrooms for all the couples and the bunk beds worked perfect for the kids. The fire pit and game room during the evenings was a hit! It was nice to be able to walk to dinner in town, to the marina where we rented a pontoon boat, and taking a cruise on the Minnie Ha-Ha as well as the many arcades in town. It was only a short drive from Walgreens where we picked up a few forgotten items and about 30 minutes to a family friendly hike called Shelving Rock Falls area. Really enjoyed our stay with our family!

Great location

Pros: Location - parking is extremely limited and this house is very walkable to restaurants and attractions Game room was fun for kids 5 bedrooms Fantastic water pressure Quick response from management when we asked questions New refrigerator with craft ice cubes Cons: Older home Door lock was a challenge when it was sunny Had to buy our own toilet paper after a couple of starter rolls (not mentioned in description or welcome) Surface clean, but not super clean Small kitchen and dining table only seats 4 Overall, if location is a key factor, this is a great house! If you are looking for comfort or an upscale experience, it might not be the right place.

Excellent Rental

Overall we were delighted with our rental. Super great location. The house is huge and very comfortable with 5 bedrooms. The game room was so cool and functioned like another apartment with a full bathroom/shower and a kitchen (minus the stove). Some areas that could have been better were as follows: Toilet in the main house were not great for flushing and with only one plunger, that made for some trouble. I think we were the first rental of the season so tv remotes were all dead. The cleaning crew could have done a better job. Don’t let these areas that need improvement stop you from renting here. I would definitely rent here again. Great rental overall.

Wonderful location, needs maintenance & updating

The location was nice for our weekend get-away but the house itself needs maintenance and updating. The beds were comfortable but the other furniture was very cheap and falling apart. At this price point the furnishings should be more sturdy. Many of the chairs could not be sat in because they were so wobbly. The coffee table was the bench for the dining table? I classify the furniture as build your own Walmart/Big Lots type, that can not take the wear and tear of a rental property. There were lamps and clocks on tables in the bedrooms not plugged in because there was no plug close enough to actually plug them in... Looks good in picture but not very functional.The game room was fun. It would be nice to have a table and chairs out there to play games and cards and move some of the recliners into the main house. The main house does need a good deep cleaning. A good sweep out, bathtub scrub and cobwebs cleaning. Overall I don't think we would stay again at this price. I believe the limited number of houses in the downtown area allow them to keep the price high without maintaining the quality.

Bats in the house and nasty yard

The yard was unkempt with long grass and lots of very long and thick weeds. There were flying bats in the house, which happened after two nights. Called the guest service contact person. We shut the bedroom door where he was flying and sealed it with tape and towels. It flew around in that room for most of the night. Two of our family members left as the room was inhabitable. My grandkids went out to the outer game room to sleep in chairs. The guest contact person had a maintenance man come out the next morning and he was able to catch one bat which was hanging in the kitchen and apparently sleeping. He said that other was nowhere to be found and left. We spent one more night there and heard the bat flying in the still sealed room. We checked out the next morning as scheduled. Both the guest service contact person and Evolve made it seem like it was normal for wildlife to be in and around the house. I don't think so. I have had coyote, fox, skunks and wild turkeys in my wooded back yard area but I wouldn't think it would be ok for them to be in my house. We thought we would get back half of our EXPENSIVE stay as two of our four nights were spent with an unwelcome bat house guest. Nope - not happening.

Perfect family accommodation

My family of 6 adults & 4 children under 6 greatly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean & bright with plenty of room for the little ones to run around. The beds were so comfortable, the kids were thrilled with the bunk room. Outside space was well equipped with a grill, fire pit, picnic table with plenty of seating. Having a pack & play and high chair available was a very considerate convenience! Now...the game room!!! Seriously what a fun perk to this rental!! The huge TV with game console, comfy reclining sofas, fridge, sink, full bath with shower were all great amenities but the air hockey & shuffleboard games were so much fun for the adults and kids together!! Cannot forget to give credit to Matt, the maintenence person, who we had to call after midnight one night; he arrived within minutes, to help us successfully get rid of a surprise visitor - a bat! Wonderful family memories were made! I would love to return again someday!

Located in the heart of lake George without feeling crowded.

There was plenty of room for all six of us. The game room was fantastic! No time to be bored in this place. Not only is the house very accommodating, but you are down the street from all the action. Being that close to the activities, I thought we would have an issue with noise however, this place is perfectly located. When we were home, I was peaceful and quiet.

Columbus Day weekend Octoberfest!

The house was perfect for our group of 9 adults for long weekend. We had a great time walking into town for Octoberfest activities, to ADK brewery for dinner, and to lake front. We also had great location to visit Gore Mountain and Brant Lake for hiking. The game room was a great way to spend our after dinner time! The shower leaked through ceiling but Melissa responded with a handyman within 15 minutes and got it fixed. We would love to stay here again! Great spot!!
