The location can’t be beat. The home is a historic house, so keep that in mind when booking. Old homes have their quirks and this home definitely has some quirks. The bed was very comfortable.
We had a really lovely stay. The garden is so peaceful and the kitchen was the perfect space to sit and visit together. The view was beautiful and the neighborhood was very quiet. It was just what we needed!
Very nice place and perfect for our family get together. Had everything we needed and even the perfect toys for our little ones that came to visit for a night.
Located close by for all our wants and needs, and only a 5 minute drive to my grandson’s house.
The property was a fun place to stay with nostalgic decor and an amazing kitchen. Proximity to the beach was a plus. Beds were comfortable. The outdoor areas were lovely and we enjoyed our stay.
Two issues that negatively impacted our experience.1) There was no AC and we knew that going into the rental. However, what we did not know is that you cannot open any windows on the first floor so we are not able to cool the house down in the evening. To us, this condition was unacceptable.2) The bathroom situation is odd and should be better explained in the advertisement. On the main level there is a handicap tub/hand sprayer shower. It's in the enclosed porch area and there is a three panel screen you use for privacy. A bit odd. Also on the main floor is a toilet with a tub (no shower). You can access this bathroom from the one bedroom on the main level or the hall. Upstairs there is a bedroom with toilet, sink and shower. The toilet is enclosed. The sink and shower are in the bedroom. This set up does not readily lend itself to sharing the sink/shower with others on this floor (there are three other bedrooms on this floor). In the bedroom that leads to another bedroom there is a sink and toilet. Toilet has saloon style doors and a knee wall. Another odd set up.

“Clear expectations are important to us, and we’re sorry the home did not meet your needs. The listing identifies that this historic 1898 home does not offer air conditioning and describes and photographs its unique bathroom layout. While several first-floor windows do not open, the kitchen windows and multiple exterior doors can be opened for ventilation. We appreciate the feedback and remain committed to presenting the home’s distinctive features clearly.”

Beautiful garden oasis home with view
What a beautiful home and lovely garden oasis to enjoy family time with multi generations to make more memories in.Inside and out with a view, absolutely terrific .
Our stay was absolutely incredible—the photos truly don’t capture how beautiful this place is! My favorite spot was definitely the kitchen, with its gorgeous windows framing the stunning scenery outside. Mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee, surrounded by vibrant trees, plants, and flowers, felt so peaceful and refreshing. With nine of us, we never once felt cramped—there was plenty of room for everyone, and the beds were unbelievably soft and cozy. This home made our trip unforgettable, and we’re so grateful for the experience!
Autumn was wonderful! The home was lovely. The landscape was gorgeous! We enjoyed our stay even though we were in town for my brother’s funeral. Thanks to Autumn for all of her answers to our questions.
This home and location worked well for six women attending a nearby conference.

Fabtastic vacation house!
We love the place. It is clean and full of trees around it. The back yard was beautiful and fresh, makes us feel relaxed. I recommend this place and probably will go back again.
The gardens were magical! The house was beautiful. It was cozy, yet plenty of space. Adorably quirky. Perfect for families and people who appreciate all the little details.
We had a great stay at this comfortable and accurately listed home. The location was wonderful—close to the water—and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the backyard porch. The kitchen was bright, spacious, and perfect for our needs. We did notice some ants in the upstairs bathroom, but the host was quick to respond and addressed the situation to ensure it’s resolved for future guests. Overall, it was a great place to rest after busy days exploring Mount Rainier. Thank you!
Cute and spacious house in a great location. Beautiful views and responsive property management. Beds were comfortable, and loved the backyard. Only real recommendation was for better pillows. Plenty of utensils for cooking, and appliances, plenty of plates and cups and what not. Great and quiet neighborhood. Definitely a bit warm in the summer with no AC, but fans were available to us.

From the Owner: "Thank you for alerting me about the pillows! I’ll be sure to buy new ones. I do replace them regularly, but they must have gotten a lot of use this summer!"
The house worked out well, the yard was beautiful and beds were good. The bathroom situation is odd but we were family so worked it out. We will use this house again if needed.
