Maisonnets invites you to enjoy the charm of this top-floor one-bedroom, one-bathroom Art Deco apartment, tucked away in a quiet one-way street in convenient Darlinghurst. Featuring ornate ceilings and stylish white timber floors, this apartment offers a blend of classic design and modern comfort.
Perfectly located, it’s just a stroll to eateries, shops, supermarkets, and St Vincent’s Hospital, with the bars and clubs of Kings Cross and Oxford Street nearby. Walk to Kings Cross train station and bus services, and Sydney’s CBD (Downtown) is under 20 minutes away on foot.
The Space:
Enter this light-filled apartment and the first thing you’ll notice are the beautiful white floorboards throughout. An entrance hall leads to a living room featuring its original art deco plaster ceiling, and a mirrored wall. There’s a smart TV, a rug for winter comfort and a stylish lounge suite with a sofa that can be converted to a single bed if needed. This living area flows through to the kitchen/dining area which comes with a 4-burner gas stove top and oven, a movable stainless steel bench, Nespresso coffee machine, a table for 4 people and windows showing expansive views including Sydney Harbour glimpses. The kitchen is also home to a combined washing machine/dryer.
The apartment’s bedroom can be accessed from either the entrance hall or a door leading off the dining area and comes with a queen-sized bed, a mirrored wardrobe and walk-in closet. An ensuite bathroom has a combined shower/bathtub and a window with more urban views.
The Neighborhood:
Inner city Darlinghurst is known for its trendy cafes, sleek multicultural restaurants, intimate cocktail bars and funky shopping. Nearby Oxford Street, a centre of the city’s LGBT scene, has nightclubs and stylishly restored pubs. On Crown Street, you’ll find record stores, offbeat fashion and vintage apparel. Supermarkets, art galleries, theatre companies and live music venues are all close at hand – although the apartment is set far enough away from the action for quiet time should you desire it. St Vincents Hospital is a short walk away, as is Paddington, Surry Hills, Kings Cross, Potts Point, Rushcutters Bay Park, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (where the world-renowned Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race starts) and Sydney’s CBD (Downtown).
Getting Around:
The apartment doesn’t have dedicated parking, with only timed street parking available. Public transport, however, is close at hand, including bus services taking you to the CBD (Downtown) and Circular Quay (home to the Sydney Opera House) in one direction and major shopping/transport hub Bondi Junction in the other. Kings Cross train station is a 6 minute walk from the apartment.
Please note: This apartment is on the 3rd Floor and has no lift, so it’s not suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Wonderful stay in Sydney
Nice comfortable apartment with wonderful view on bay of Sydney. Perfect for exploring the city by feet. Alle you need you‘ll find in the neighborhood. Kitchen fits for all kind of cooking. We felt extremly well. Although we had big problems with our flight, the agency did all for us to make possible a late check-in. Very flexible and positive contact with the agency.
We“ll come back next time!

Nice apartment but a few downsides
This is a cool quirky apartment with a comfy bed and a great view. A few downsides: it’s 3 large flights of stairs up the building; and there aren’t a lot of surfaces to put things on (it feels a bit cluttered). Also, would have preferred a lockbox for entry rather than having to fiddle about arranging a meeting time with a ‘personal concierge’ on arrival.

Left early so bad!
Misleading advertisement. Stained bedding. Sofa bed is just a sofa not the claimed double bed. Kitchen is impossible to cook in due to only one small pot and no lids. Three steep flight of stairs to top. Water shut off unexpectedly. We booked 5 nights but only lasted one night. No refund but left anyway.

A beautiful apartment in a cool part of Sydney
This apartment has all you need for a week (or more) in Sydney. It's airy and full of light, has beautiful interior and nice views, and it's quiet, but still central. If you don't mind walking a bit, everything is really close. We walked to the Opera, to the Sydney Tower Eye, to Australian Museum etc. Closest T-station is King´s Cross. The apartment is convenient. No dishwasher machine, but a laundry machine that also does drying. We were 2 adults and a 13 year old (on the sofa, easy to make into a bed). The property managers were always helpful and friendly. We could not reach them by phone, only email, but they answered quickly. Will go for this apartment again, if we ever go back to Sydney. Highly recommended!
