The Winfield Chalet is a gorgeous homey cottage just steps away from the Georgian Bay. Immerse yourself in our flagship Winfield Library - a wall shelf of 1000+ books next to our natural gas fireplace, all enclosed in an elegant massive wood cathedral ceiling. Luxuriate in our unique amenities: A heated garage (perfect in the winter!) with air hockey, ping pong, darts, plus a deck with a heated 22' above-ground pool, a backyard with 15’ trampoline, 6 station swing set, and a hammock by the outdoor firepit.

With included bicycles and just minutes away from beaches, ski resorts, and provincial parks, the only limit at the Winfield Chalet is your imagination.

Gorgeous in design, functionality, and entertainment, our spacious Victoria Harbour cottage is perfect for friends, family, and kids. The Winfield Chalet houses all you could ask for.

The open-concept kitchen is spacious and modern. The entire kitchen countertop is made with pristine granite and includes an island breakfast bar, fully equipped with amenities such as a full-size oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hot water kettle, and induction stove with all kitchen amenities provided.

Joining the living room is the family room under a captivating wood cathedral ceiling. This room endows our flagship Winfield Chalet Library: a long wall-shelf filled with over 1000+ books containing a wide variety of genres from fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, science, and many more. Dive deep into a novel lounging on one of our many comfy couches next to the natural gas fireplace.

We’re big on fun too. The Winfield Chalet boasts a plethora of indoor and outdoor entertainment. The completely repurposed garage is a spacious rec room with a large air hockey table, ping pong table, and darts set: the garage is heated as well, and as such it’s perfect all season long. Indoors contains a foosball table, board games, and 2 smart TV’s with included Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and Ignite TV.

Outside the residence is a 24ft wooden deck with a heated 22' above-ground pool (pool toys provided), BBQ grill, a massive 15’ trampoline, 6 station swing set, and a hammock by the firepit. Eating roasted marshmallows was never this relaxing.

Fast internet/WiFi and a laptop-friendly workspace allow for a great “working” vacation setup. Central A/C + heating is very effective and is controlled using a smart thermostat.

Relax in absolute comfort on our 3 queen beds, 1 double and 1 twin (bunk), all in 3 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms are available. A full-size washer and dryer are available for all your laundry needs.

The oven didn’t work, which was a key determining factor for staying in a vacation home (35 minutes from our destination) rather than a hotel which was closer. The host took an hour to respond and we were on hold for over 30 minutes with VBRO trying to get help. The next day we had to reach out at dinner time to ask if anything was done to fix it and nothing was done! Both days the host got us running around trying this and that to try and fix it which took away from our relaxing stay. He indicated that it was only 1 thing that didn’t work - as if it was something minor that we could have done without. Don’t stay here!!

I take all guest feedback seriously, but this review misrepresents the extensive efforts made to resolve a sudden and unusual equipment failure. My history of 10/10 reviews from every other guest reflects the high standard of service I provide to every guest. The oven was fully functional for the guest immediately preceding this stay. When this error was reported, I responded within 45 minutes (not "several hours") to begin troubleshooting. Regarding the 'running around,' we only asked you to try two simple diagnostic steps; without a guest's willingness to check a switch or a button, how am I supposed to troubleshoot an issue in real-time...? Despite it being a holiday weekend, I spent both days of the stay coordinating with technicians to order the necessary replacement parts. Due to it being a holiday weekend, the availability of technicians was sparse, however, I was still able to get replacement parts ordered. Due to what transpired during your stay, to address the inconvenience, I issued a refund which represented a significant portion of the total booking cost. You were not satisfied with the amount, which I felt was plenty more than reasonable, considering it was way more than half of your booking and all other amenities and and utilities remained fully operational. I remain committed to providing a 10/10 experience for all my guests and hope issues like these never pop up in the future, but I believe I did everything in my power and tried my absolute best to provide a solution during a holiday period and provided you with more than enough compensation by any standard for an isolated issue during your stay.

It is a very clean and organized with a lot of indoor and outdoor activities. Best location with nearby services and attractions. Tony has been very helpful and responsive. My family and I have enjoyed staying there and we hope to go again.

Large, cozy, clean house by the lake

We spent a great weekend in this house and would love to come back. It had everything we needed in a wonderful location. We read in the library, made smores, played the piano and went for a bike ride. Thanks!

Couldn't have been better

Tony is the epitome of what a rental owner should be. This is a beautiful place that has brought my friends and I life long memories. Not only this, Tony's timely responses and professionalism was unbelievable. The house was clean, the utilities worked as intended, and the pool is top notch. Even after causing some unintended damages, Tony was gracious, compassionate, and incredibly reasonable. Could not have had a better experience. Highly recommend!

Great stay.

We stayed with 6 adults and 3 children. We had a great time. The kids enjoyed the play set outside and the trampoline. The heated pool was great, (but we do think the pool ladder needs a little work.) There were lots of great activities to do inside when it rained. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and having access to a washer and dryer was great as well. The property was very clean. Overall it was great stay.

The Vacation home that has it all.

Since the day we booked this house for our vacation, the property manager has been really kind with answering questions with prompt reply. We really loved the house and really enjoyed our time there. The pool was really nice and really enjoyed having fun in the backyard. The house was really clean and well organized. Nice and cozy. The owner has provided all things in the house from kitchen utensils and towels and all the basic things that you need. Also it is near lake and has really nice trail for biking or walk. We hope to book this home again and return to have some more fun and enjoy. Thanks.

Better than we imagined!

Seamless reservation with no hiccups. Very friendly and helpful host, Tony. We thought the place we were reserving was too good to be true. When we arrived the chalet was even better than we expected. Great price with lots of bedding and amenities. Lots of supplies for the guests including coffee, toiletries, linen, cooking ware, etc.. There is a barbecue, pool, table tennis, air hockey, trampoline, fire pit and the list goes on. The chalet was very welcoming and slept 6 adults very comfortably. I will happily be recommending this place to all my friends and family and will probably be going back here myself! Thank you to Tony for making our stay seamless!

Great find! Really loved staying here.

This was a perfect property for the annual Christmas reunion with our children, who now live in three different countries. Warm and cosy, the house itself is very well equipped, and well organised. The layout of rooms was also perfect, allowing us to be together but also allowing us space to play piano, read by the fire or play table tennis/hockey in the heated garage. Location made it very easy to go cross counrty and downhill skiing, wander down to the British style pub on the lake, pick up groceries and see friends in Orillia. We have lived in Toronto and the Midswest USA for a while, but never seen so much snow - Tony made sure the drive was cleared so we did not have to constantly shovel! Would thoroughly recommend.
